  1. It looks like the "raids" are still ongoing.. Toro is one of the dealers who keeps stock for AP ROO sec@12. I have no luck trying to get the Noob stuff from my regular TD King. This tells me that the problem is at dealer level. Switching dealers for a while to see what happens.
  2. I am glad the PP dispute has been dropped.
  3. To me, thats a balance and real-world opinion. I share the same feeling. Kudos to you.
  4. MM..MM has replied with the reason. the rep pushers are flat on top, whereas the gen has a slightly rounded/beveled end. Many dealers these days are willing to do this mod for you prior to shipment. The bezel screws are also an important point. The screwdriver slots in the screw heads are sometimes misaligned or not centered. Its best you post the QC pics here for more specific assistance.
  5. Thanks Logan, I figured that would be a good way to solve this.. I have also taken the lazy man's route and ordered some from another dealer who has them and is willing to supply them.
  6. My rep AP ROO (stainless steel case) has two missing screws on the case. These screws are in place to secure the end links to the case. Anyway, failing to get replacements from my TD (who by the way is fast becoming an un-TD), I ordered the case screws from APbands. The short story is that the screws did not fit into the rep case. Does anyone know what are the more practical solutions I could adopt, since my dealer has failed for the past 2 months to get the replacement screws for me (sending wrong ones.. citing factory raids, general non replies, olympics etc), and I do not own a drilling machine at home to modify the case screw holes depth/size. Can someone help please? I am a relative newbie and a total noob about dimensions of gen/rep cases, screws, bar and caps, straps etc.. Any assistance would be much appreciated thank you. I would also be willing to purchase the correct screws from anyone who has them, and donate $20 to RWG if I get this problem fixed. Thanks to all!
  7. i dunno, but noticed the extremely long middle finger of the gal in the background lol
  8. Its sad if the self-valuation (and valuation of another man) of someone is built primarily upon his watches, car, house or salary. But yes, I acknowledge that the world we live in can be a rather superficial one, and often, we are judged by what we own and what we do for a living. We all live but once, and should not strive to please everyone. If a rep makes you happy, wear it well. Not everyone who can afford a gen watch would spend that kind of money on it. People get rich through various ways, and financial prudence is a common trait among the wealthy. That prudence, my friends, is always worth more than the money spent on a gen watch. If a rep is 90% like gen, and performs 99% like gen, any reason why one should consider spending 5-20x on the gen watch? Intrinsic value? Yes. You always get what you pay for. Let's not forget, that like gens, reps get traded at a different level. Look at the thriving trade section of RWG. The only difference between the rep and gen trade forums is the price level.
  9. Post the pics and the experts here would be glad to help. Just a quick point: Please request for the dealer to get the pushers rounded out a little, if you have not already done so...
  10. Actually, believe me, I know what its like I bought something from a member here, never arrived. The item just got lost in the mail and that was it. I just had to swallow it after the carrier could not locate the item. It was not the seller's fault, though he was nice about the entire affair... I have nothing against you or lunarglide, but just sharing with you, that it is technically not his responsibility to file any claims with the carrier company. The worst you could accuse lunarglide of in this case is poor communications, but it is unlikely that he deliberately tried to scam you. If you have the tracking number, its still not too late to go after royal mail, matey. Would save you some time and anguish. Peace, dude. Don't make this worse than it has to be. In the end, you would just be out on the watch and some goodwill. Go after RM man.
  11. Can sell me that plastic submariner, mate? I have never heard of one, much less seen one. lol
