Today is the 15th (in SE Asia at least) and King has expectedly said to give her "another 2-3 days" for supplies to resume at noob factory, due to ongoing government raids..
So, still no joy...will have to see how long this "raid" lasts lol
I am happy to see some of us still managed to obtain supplies. I guess its a matter of which dealer you purchase from and also the specific watch. Its very encouraging to hear that this channel is not shutdown.
I could not purchase anything from King's for the past month. Perhaps the problem is merely at dealer level. Has anyone managed to purchase ROO's sec@12 or anything specifically from the Noob factory?
Thank you
I definitely do not think the cartier calibre movement is a swiss one.. I have been searching for a swiss movement on this watch for quite a while, and failed to find it.
It looks like an Asian movement to me..
For the record, I do not think you are a shill for any site but being a newbie, you could afford to show more courtesy to the guys here, they've been around and mean you no harm, from what I could see from their posts.
Peace, mate!
Right now, we can only speculate what is really happening..
I have been informed by King that Noob factory would be resuming operations on 15th aug but this is not the first time that she has provided a date.
The situation with Noob factory is big question mark, and I guess it would depend on who you ask. I believe that the raids aside, this is also motivated by benefits at dealer level.
Some would be happy to take your pre-payment and play the delay game, while some would start pushing for you to take stocks from other factories.
Like what someone mentioned here, there are elements of political motivation at the dealer level. We would all need to make our own assessment independent of what we are told.
try the following, but if you can ask the dealer to deliver with rounded pushers, it would be good.
The hands tubes, datewheel position, crown-pusher alignment are still fairly obvious tells.
a. Black Theme
b. Chronopassion
c. Montauk highway
If you are more adventurous:
a. Survivor (hand tubes are accurate.. date wheel position is slightly out)
b. T3
c. Juan Pablo Montoya
You might also want to look into the GP forged carbon series.
It is best if you can name a model you are interested in, and we can help you point out the inaccuracies, in order to let you know if you can live with them.
What is your definition of "best"? Would it be accuracy, aesthetics, or relative price-value?
IMO, all AP reps (like all reps) are flawed to a certain degree, and it would depend on what you are looking for.
If you are just starting out, the black theme or chronopassion might be good if you are into ROOs. Otherwise, like incentivetrader mentioned, the diver V3 is a good piece to own too.
W, I want to check with you: For models like the survivor, T3 and Montoya, the hand tubes are not easy tells right, when compared with models like the black theme, chronopassion, volcano etc etc.. I am new to this and have lots to learn yet.
Lunarglide PMed me last week, wanting to buy my AP ROO rubberclad RG. I just replied him telling him watch has been sold.
It was my first and last time communicating with this guy. I am sorry to hear about this. Hope it gets sorted out ASAP.
Hi,
I am a Rolex newbie so please pardon me for my seemingly noob question..
I am looking to purchase a NATO strap for my DSSD, and I would like to know the correct lug width to purchase please, as there are several options for me on the site. (18mm, 20mm, 22mm etc)
Thank you very much for any assistance rendered.
yes connie from kingwatch told me the same thing.. Both factory and shipping ends are hit. So it means even if an item is in stock, it might be able to be shipped "safely" to the buyer in the near future. I have placed an order nevertheless, and I hope that it would be shipped ASAP. Beware unscrupulous dealers who would take your payment anyway, without informing you of what is to be expected.
