  1. My god TJ, I won't want to know what is "not appropriate" for you then. lol
  2. lol TJ, I'll pass on your sister (doubt you have one lol) but I will be here watching you do your thing. haha
  3. The same TeeJay who told another member to write"Dew Leh Loh Moh" over a rep watch. Lol man, if RWG starts a subscription feature I'll look for your nick and click on it to subscribe.
  4. I keep my gen APs, Hublots, Cartiers on a winder, and yes all except two of them (the latest) are insured.
  5. I was passing by a Rolex boutique, and I saw several large dial rolex on display. They look to be at least 44mm, but probably larger. It seems that Rolex is finally getting into the game for bigger dial watches and I am a fan. I am a rolex noob and I am unsure if these watches have been around for quite some time already. Just surprised to see them on display.
  6. If you are sick, then a lot of us share the same illness lol, to varying degrees. Congrats on your purchase, and enjoy the watches! Don't you wish you have 39 arms to wear them all at once? haha
  7. Hi, I sincerely feel that there was no hidden intentions of the thread starters in the topics you mentioned (yes i have seen them) to discredit, scare or confuse the rep collectors. I think that they were mostly voicing their concerns or experiences, and they are actual rep collectors themselves, with genuine concerns to share. If you do follow the topics and the posts listed within, you would find that members WOULD respond with similar concerns or share facts concerning the specific situation or concerns being discussed. I also think that the original posts themselves were factual as far as the individual thread starters were concerned. After all, this is a place where such concerns and opinions should be voiced, and where worries and fears get allayed. Worry not, you're in the right place with the fight folks. lol
  8. I meant no offense too to the OP with my comment.I believe that I represent a lot of members with my statement, but in no way was that meant to be a derogatorive comment toward the gender composition, masculinity, or sexual inclination of the OP. I AM generally very easy in terms of disposition, but I would not stand down if someone tries to pick a fight over a perceived slight. Either the perception gets corrected or I apologise after understanding what the perceived offence is about. Rather than leave a gunpowder trail for future ignitions, I think its the best way to do it. Now I hope that is, in the wise words of the OP, "man enough".
  9. Nothing to do with whether I am man enough or not, or whether the wearer is man enough, or gay or not.. just a matter of conventional visual compatibility. You have the absolute right to wear what you like, and I hold my right to my preference and opinions. If I think a pearl necklace looks better on a woman, does it mean I am some effeminate [censored]?Or do I think a man in a dress is a fag? NO. I believe in the right to choose, and also the right to free speech. So, if you cannot stand opinions that do not agree with your own, don't post in an open forum where replies are enabled. I do not think I said anything that was offensive, judgemental or out of place. If you dare to be unconventional or exceptional, expect opinions that you may or may not like. You're like the guy who goes around with an ashtray and rushing to douse every cigarette lit in a smoking zone. I say again, the white hublot is a very nice watch, sincerely, and I would admire it more on a lady's wrist. If that detracts from my manhood according to you, so be it. And for any perceived offence or slight done to you, I do regret it, none was intended for sure.
  10. Sounds interesting. Mind sharing what you ordered?
  11. I like the white hublot actually, but on a lady's wrist.
  12. I own a nice specimen of the MH too, and honestly, who cares if the dial color is wrong. There are 300 pieces of the gen watch, and the color is close enough to pass casual scrutiny in my opinion. As per all reps, these flaws are most noticeable by us, the rep collectors, even if a lot of us do own gens. It is a beautiful watch in its own right. A shade off the blue here, a shade off the white there. Its inevitable I guess, given the fact that its a rep. I would still have to say its a darn good rep, and I am happy with it. I have worn this everywhere since I got it, and even at a recent watch enthusiasts meet,I had to explain to many other members that this is a rep. I do own about 6 gen ROOs and I would have to say I am happy with this. Getting a gen Montauk Highway is not simply a matter of affording it. It is a rare edition, and hard to find in real life. I suppose this would also mean that meeting an owner of the gen MH is an extremely unlikely affair for a side by side comparison to occur. For those with the MH rep, wear it well, it is a beautiful watch in its own right, especially when strapped with the gen hornback! Peace all.
  13. As long as the watch is something you are comfortable wearing, then I don't see why its the business of another person to poke his/her nose into the matter. I would check out CQout, thanks for sharing TeeJay. Your sardonic sense of humor certainly encompasses some element of truth, but lets give some benefit of doubt to the dealers here. Like I said, IF they are found to be screwing us in any way, I would not hesitate to walk the same boycott route you did. Having said that, I believe that there are still responsible dealers around. Perhaps we should give them a little more time to explain things to us.
  14. All I'm saying is that different dealers tell different things when asked the same question. So it is reasonable to deduce that someone is either lying, withholding the truth knowingly or telling half-truths about the situation. Unless we have first hand information, we can only make judgement based on how we are treated as a customer, even in this seemingly tumultous time. The more cloudy a situation appears to be, the more assumptions will be made about what lies in the cloud. I think its human nature to be more forgiving if we are given honest insights into what lies in the smoke and mist. I can understand that given the nature of the industry and our hobby, complete transparency and honesty is somewhat impossible. That is why, when a supposed "raid" occurs, there will be many sides to the tale. Perhaps, just saying, that the TDs should not be turning their backs on us instead. Afterall, what more do we want than an honest explanation on what is really happening, and ultimately, for them to deliver the watches that we set our eyes on? Makes a little sense?
  15. lol yes I know.. I speak Mandarin and cantonese very well and your post came across as hilarious when used in this context! Anyhow, I do get the points you are trying to bring across, in your "take no prisoners" way. Reading your colorful comments about the cartel dealers certainly put things across in a more interesting perspective. Now, suppose you have been boycotting the "TDs" here.. where do you buy your watches from then?
  16. My gosh TeeJay..lol.. "Dew leh loh moh" literally means to "f**k your mother"..haha over a watch? Look, I'm subscribing to your posts for pure entertainment value. hahaha
  17. Nice! There is hope for us after all.
  18. Oh, I am starting to.. screw the cartel, if they are screwing us!
  19. Lol couldnt help but laugh at this statement..
  20. The question is, can he genuinely fulfill new orders? His policy of "new sales over repair" is not something I concur with, but I shall not comment further on this. I know of at least one dealer here who is taking orders actively and hedging a lot on delivery.
  21. From the posts I read, some guys are getting their orders and some not. Nobody mentioned AP ROOs specifically though someone got the QC pics of the AP diver V3 from Toro. Again, this seems to be a dealer-specific problem. I know for sure King's is not getting supplies from Noob. Whether she (and other dealers) is unwilling or unable to is a question I cannot answer though..
