If it was an aged timepiece, with gen movement and such, its entirely possible that even a watchsmith cannot tell if you're wearing a rep without hours of scrutiny of individual parts.
Can really, why would a watchsmith want to do that unnecessarily? They are professionals and would just look to complete the given task well. Rep or gen, a watch is a watch, and its your own business what you choose to wear.
It seems to me the AP diver is a bigger watch than the DSSD, with the caseset considered. How is it that the DSSD appears more bulky on your wrist than the Diver?
Yes, so better take note of this if you are placing orders for reps.. I doubt anyone can get stuff from Noob's currently.
My TD's website has been taken down totally.
check out www.kingshowbox.com
I have never bought from Puretime so I shall reserve my comments on Angus et al.But I DO know Connie of Kingwatch is a good TD. She can also give delayed responses sometimes but she has always been responsible and delivers in the end.www.kingshowbox.com. Try it, but wait a few days, cos as i mentioned in my other thread, the site is down, purportedly due to factory raids and such...
My TD (Kingwatch) just informed me that several rep factories are under raid currently and she could not supply for any watches for the next 10 days or so.
She has named the Noob factory as one which is currently closed.
Is anyone else tried to place an order recently or gotten any news on this? It seems to me China is becoming strict for the rep business.
I really respect people who can differentiate the Panerais. Its much easier for the Hublots and of course the APs.
But identifying PAMs needs much more knowledge on the watch.
I have the RG version and it looks great. I think the date window is a little more to the right in the rep. I am not too sure on date cyclops.
AR looks great on the crystal!
The pusher/crown alignment could also not be accurate but I am not sure about this.
My view is that it is at minimum a fairly accurate looking watch and its a very pretty piece.
