Took my FC 44mm on a trip to Mexico

A, next time I need a tourguide for Mexico (and in your case, a medically proficient one), will you oblige? I will buy all the tequilas and magaritas you can drink, and we shall prove also, upon intoxication, that the 44mm ROOs do fit your "puny" 7inch wrists. -

As what 369 said, the timegrapher numbers are an indication of the movement health. Forget about 0 sec/day deviation. Not common even in gens. Your timegrapher will likely show figures between -20 to +20 sec. That is acceptable. Remember that this could change in the course of shipping too, so don't fret too much about it. A regulation and service would take care of this. Beat error and amplitude are of more concern than the timekeeping accuracy. And forget about COSC standards in reps, Having said that, the reps I own do keep reasonably good time. We just need to be realistic about expectations. -

Hey DJ No worries.. its the V2 dial because of the lighter shade of grey at the 6 o'clock subdial, and if you google the ROO GP pictures, you will find that it is reasonably accurate to gen. Well, what is bought cannot be "unbought", but it can sure be sold at the right time. And the right time in this case may coincide with the new release of the J12 GP series no? The good thing is, the dial on your watch could be better than the J12 version, and you could actually use the dial from this and fit it in the J12 case for a nice GP. It all depends on how much you like the watch. -
Oh, I will never be disrespectful when it comes to personal challenges or struggles of others. Whatever it is, I am pretty certain that you will inject a prodigious dose of self-deprecating references, and a lot of caustic wit into it if you ever decide to share.

And the doctor has spoken. +1 Keep Kingfrog here, and let him keep describing the stream to the ocean.

And I am a talented listener, if and when you feel inclined Mr. POTR.

Wow, one day, I would steal that quote, trust me.

+1. We come into this world empty handed, and we leave empty handed. In between, it is alright to have enough to live by, and luxury is a bonus. You are right, we cannot take a single red cent with us when we leave. I am still learning to find more meaning in my existence, and I try to make life better for those around me in little ways each day.

Honestly, that is a beautiful rep. You already know about the forged carbon parts in the gen vs the pattern printing on this rep. This also looks like the v2 dial which is more accurate to gen. Just a curious question: The J12 grand prix ROO series would be released pretty soon, and all of them would have real forged carbon parts.. why did you not wait a while longer? Or perhaps you were not aware of this? -
You know sir, I have been on the boards for 3 years plus (less than half the time you have) and nobody has ever threatened to "bust my chops" (well some other similar threats pertaining to maiming and dislocation of assorted bones isn't quite the same I think), and it is very refreshing to read your post. Seriously though, I always show a healthy dose of respect to guys who have been around longer than I have. I really do. I detect a curmudgeonly streak in you Mr POTR and I definitely would not enjoy getting the rougher side of your tongue (or fingers in the internet context) I wish more veterans like yourself show up, and teach us "noobs" a thing or two. It would be better if the variety that shows up shows talent and inclination for intrepid butt-whopping where needed. I would be ready with the popcorn when that happens, provided of course, that I am not the owner of the butt that is being whopped for the entertainment of others. With respect, Legend

What you mentioned, A, is an inevitable and far reaching consequence of the terror attacks. The provenance of Islam does not preach violence in this manner. The problem is invariably the flawed interpretations by men of the religion. The acts committed in the name of Islam has besmirched the religion in a manner that would take a long long time to restore, in the regions affected. I definitely do not think that the terror acts in Paris (or anywhere else) were ratified by Islam, but rather, carried out by scattered groups of extremists with ideals, values and perceptions twisted beyond belief. I do not think that any religion advocates or tolerates senseless killing, but interpretation of the doctrines by these terrorists puts the rest of the world at peril and mercy of their distorted convictions. Sadly, when repeated reports Muslims displaying the same extreme behavior in different ways are reported by the press, the association becomes very unfavorable for the group. It does not matter to the world that the majority of Muslims are not prone to committing terrorist acts at all. Slowly but surely, the world becomes wary of Muslim members of their immediate community. I would not be surprised to read reports about vigilante justice inflicted upon innocent Muslims, in the near future. When lives are lost senselessly and suddenly, there is invariably anger, grief, bewilderment, and pain suffered in varying degrees. There is simply no telling what those affected would do. Violence begets violence. Yes. Yet, there is no denying the immediate gratification of getting even, of inflicting commensurate amounts of hurt on the subjects of hatred or resentment. And the cycle would go on and on by both sides. I have often, in my moments of rumination, thought about what I would do if my loved ones become victims of terror attacks. Shamefully, the immediate answer is: An entire face for an eye, even with the noesis that violence is not the answer. There will be many like me, and I agree with you, more violence is to be expected, and most of them unjustified and inordinate. I pray for strength for the families and loved ones of the victims of the attacks, and I pray for the family of the attackers. Until we learn not to stereotype a group, the problems ahead are real. When a member of the herd gets taken, the remaining herd will tighten its defenses and be more vigilant. It is nothing more than survival instinct. I just hope that the pain and damage can be mitigated in meaningful ways, instead of more mindless, vindictive violence.. -
Oops, you are correct, compared to you, I am indeed the greenhorn. I was using tapatalk, and member profile details do not show up at all. So distinguished veterans and 1 day noobs all look the same, pardon me.

OK I am guilty of the Macdonald's thing. How did you ever guess bro? Watches can be fake, friends can be fake. Heck, even the beef in Macdonald patties can be fake. But with Falcons, you cannot fake Mach 2, you cannot fake the rush each time you soar above everything else, and you cannot fake the feeling of being one with the bird of steel. So bro, if we are fake just because we do not own a $6000 Rolex Submariner, I say to hell with being real by the standards of someone else. We live by the rules set by us, what we are, nobody can take that away.

From the theoretical viewpoint, yes. From the social viewpoint, it is best to do so with good reason, to avoid any backlash.

I understand, Hugo. Just invite me for the next yacht party..

Haha, you mean "that was the day"... now thanks for being so modest, its refreshing to see such modesty in this thread, where everyone is talking about corvettes, and Lamborghini, and being millionaires at age 20 etc. I remember that dinner very well mate. It helps that we were at the same table, and it helps that I was actually the one who invited you for dinner. You were dressed in a neatly pressed, high end branded polo T shirt, "The color of christmas", and on your wrist sat a watch that I would have identified the brand straightaway had not the prodigious amount of bling got in the way of my sight. Your platinum chain dangled from your neck, and you humbly apologised each time it clanged against the table distractedly, waving a hand decked with rings which were in turn decked with bling. Half the patrons at the restaurant went blind that night, as they were wondering why it got more and more difficult to see their Tomyam soup. I struggled that night to spot something that was not expensive on you that night, and I learnt that pure gold iphone cases were not just urban myths. I also learnt that there were such things as wallets made by stapling 120 genuine US$100 bills together, inside which sat several more bills of the same denomination, derisively termed as "small change" by you. It was then that you told me about your private jet, the one which you flew to Singapore in, and despite my most polite deferments, you kept going on and on about your genuine Rolex collection, and how you considered the $6000 submariner to be a "miniaturized version" of the real Rolexes. I am glad you did not make that statement here, or you would have offended guys who actually owned $6000 submariners. I asked you where your humility have gone, and you told me "to the same place that your humor has". I was also sorry I did not accept your gift of two bunnies hung from a raffle string that night, along with the recipe of "special bunny pie". It might have helped if the bunnies were already cooked and packed, instead of alive and still trying heroically to break free. I did not quite understand the fanfare and red carpet that rolled out when we stood up to leave mate. It was the first time I have seen an actual red carpet, flanked by six bugle boys saying something that contained the word "diamond prince". The actual words were lost in the cacophony. So yes, what I wanted to say, is that I know you are modest. There is no need to downplay yourself too much here bro.
