  2. The dial is not good Andy. Between the A and P on the logo, the white bit is missing. The movement is also ugly beyond belief, and definitely not a Miyota, but could be an undecorated ETA 2824? The color of the movement should be silver and not gold, though the rotor color is correct. Bezel screws look like the dog tried to use them as teething toys and found them unpalatable. This watch is ugly and screams rep even to the half-blind, 80 year old woman passing by 20m away, even if she knows nothing about AP. If you happen to lose this watch in a seedy alley in Phuket, chances are that you can still find it in the same spot the next morning, as it could be too tawdry looking even for the street urchins prowling the streets at night.. I wouldn't if I were you.. you would do much better to order a 15400 from our dealers online.
  3. Before anything else, may I ask the site which you have been visiting? Your experience does not sound typical.
  4. Seriously, the guy sounds like: a. He knows nothing about Rolex or watches. (Platinum-gold, really?) b. That he is trying to convince himself, more than anyone else, that his rolex is the "real deal" Listen to the number of times he mentioned "real deal", "genuine deal", "real McCoy", and the number of mistakes he made in his presentation about the facts regarding Rolex watches. But the OP was right. This is a nice video for a good laugh.
  5. I highly doubt that the air incidents this year were due to technical mishaps Mike.. At least, MH17 was shot down deliberately for sure. MH370 vanished under mysterious circumstances, and QZ8501, the most recent case, is likewise unexplained until now. Being an ex-aviator, I can only say that there would have to be some deliberate manipulation on board for what has happened to happen the way it did. Speculation aside, I guess we could only continue our prayers for the passengers and their families.
  6. https://sg.news.yahoo.com/airasia-missing-plane-live-report-074825516.html Another unfortunate air incident in 2014, following the Malaysian Airlines MH370 and MH17 episodes earlier this year. Lets pray for the 162 passengers and crew on board, and wish for the best. Too many lives lost already, and too many questions unanswered. Let this not be another tragedy shrouded in mystery, please.
  7. Can any member who sold to Cats or bought from him PM his name and address please? I would like to send a personal donation thank you!
  8. I guess you are talking about movement decoration for movements which are visible via see-through case backs. The first AP movement decoration, excluding rotor, has already been done for the ceramic diver (cal 3120 lookalike), and I would not be surprised if similar enhancements be done for other AP models. As with most things in this hobby, you either need patience or abundant resources to achieve or wait for what you desire. To answer your question, I do not think you are "hoping for too much" per se, but you have to decide if its worth waiting for an upgrade that is not visible when you wear the watch.
  9. But we are pilots bro. We fly home. Lol Sent from Mars using tapatalk
  10. Dear Andy No worries at all, this is what the forum is for. Sharing and learning and taking the occasional glee at members who overpaid for the same watch Just kidding.. we await the pics.
  11. Bump out of concern for Cats. Sent from Mars using tapatalk
  12. I suffer from snow envy, and watch envy. Lol beautiful watches bro. Wear all of them well. Sent from Mars using tapatalk
  13. Dear Andy Firstly, 500-700Euros is too expensive for most AP reps. It is highly likely that the reps are produced by the same factories that distribute them through the dealers here. It would be more useful for you to post pics of the watches you are keen on and we can comment on them. The "features" you mentioned are too vast too list, and varies from model to model and for different movements. If you are able to post the watches, we would be able to tell you what variant it is likely to be, which factory its from, and most importantly, how much you should pay. Phuket is a place where the street vendors would fleece the foreigners whenever they can. Just one word of advice to you: ALL current ROO reps, even the best ones, are NOT ETA movements. Most divers come with Asian 2824 clone movements, or Miyota movements. Royal Oak 15400s CAN come with ETA movements or Miyota movements or Asian 2824 movements. So you can see, the chance of you getting an actual ETA movement is slim or non existent, depending on the model you are keen on. Your question is just too generic to answer, so if you want to get real help, post some pics, or at the very least, name the model you wish to buy. We can help you more specifically from there.
  14. No worries mate, the purpose of this forum is mainly to share and learn what we can.. I hope you get what you are looking for.
  15. Thank you very much for your comment. You can order this strap from member SMPLover over at RWI. Its called the red saffiano strap for 44mm ROOs.
  16. Thank you kindly guys. I am actually surprised that nobody came on and yelled "what are you, some faggot who did not get your mother's love??!" or something to that effect. I wore this out a few times and someone gave me a stare that said exactly that I think.
  17. Lol actually I do not generally fancy watches named after people as well, but regardless of its moniker, a rose by any other name would smell as sweet. What attracts or repels me is the design of the watch, not the people after whom it has been named after.
  18. You mean the lizard strap? Sent from Mars using tapatalk
  19. haha.. thanks mate. Are you still into PAMs primarily?
  20. Yet another great year at RWG with the most beautiful people on the planet. Merry Merry Christmas and a happy 2015 ahead!
  21. Brother, I told you not to order the crotchless latex costumes and leather whips already when you showed me the site. The quality isn't really the best you know..might cause injuries in your, erm, course of play....
  22. Hey A, You keep saying you have a small wrist.. I have a small wrist, at 6.25". I am quite sure that being caucasian and all that, you would not have a more dimuitive wrist than yours truly. And yet, you see me wear 'em like clocks. No shame brother, none at all! Thank you for your comments. SMPLover is a very good strapmaker on RWI, and his straps for ROOs come with inserts, which translates to almost perfect fitting. I think that if you could carry off the diver, the 44mm ROOs are a natural and subtle progression.. I seriously think you should try on one sometime and be pleasantly surprised.
  23. Heyyy buddy how're you doing? Here's a shot for you taken from home. Sent from Mars using tapatalk
