  1. Sometimes rep makers fascinate me. If they devoted resources to simple and obvious things, they could make millions. 1) Improved quality control system. (Or at least a quality control system) 2) Reliable Daytona 3) Better gold appliqu
  2. I bought a TT sub. I don't know about MBW, MKW, BBQ, etc; but I can tell you that it is a magnificent watch with a one-of-a-kind presence. The dark blue face reflects light majestically, and is perfectly complemented by the blue bezel with hints of gold here and there. Mine retailed for 258$ USD- ... I am very happy with my watch, despite the problems which I needed to find solutions for myself, but I did... Get it - you won't regret it!
  3. He said I can either send my current bracelet back for replacement or pay 120$ for a new bracelet. I kept this bracelet. Cleaned it with a white pencil eraser and rubbed it with my fingers while wearing some soft cloth plain white gloves. I would say the watch is fixed. Thanks guys - You have to admit though... it's a nice watch!
  4. Do not like.
  5. I will take a more appropriate picture later.
  6. You are looking at another dissapointed sub owner here too, sir, I suggest you send the whole thing back and get it exchanged... tampering with it will only break it more
  7. Well... it retails for 258$ from Joshua yes but I wanted to make sure it was waterproof because I wanted to try swimming with it. I am not going to try swimming with it.
  8. The box set just came in the mail.... mmmm.... smells like China :-D I love it.
  9. Omega SPeedmaster + TAG Link = this...?
  10. Two issues you would have to consider here; 1. The ETA can mimic Rolex-style date flip, whereby the fate flips instantaneously when the clock strikes midnight. The Asian movement may take several hours to move the date into position. 2. The smoothness of the sweep may be more realistic in the expensive ETA. (Pretty good assumptions considering it has 8 more jewels) Of course in terms of build quality and longevity the ETA will be a better choice. My advice to you would be to get the ETA.
  11. Come on guys! It's for a good cause! Let's get a bidding war going! It's fun!
  12. $31 USD PayPal Location: Canada
  13. Yes... once the Cape Cod comes I will try it on the spare. Good idea
  14. Thanks J Freeman... but I'm not taking my chances! The eraser, coupled with a good brushing, has made it wearable and if I muck it up with my own fingerprints it looks pretty OK... under some angles it still looks bubbly though. There is not a chance in hell I am sending it back, though. I should see the silver lining: it tells time. For a watch to tell time, considering where its from, is a win in my book. It's as though the watch itself and bracelet are manufactured in totally different places. The watch is absolutely beautiful and flawless, but the bracelet looks like it was made over a barbecue. I once again e=mailed the gentleman who sold it to me and we'll see if we can reach a mutually convenient solution. Until then, is there a way to easily test waterproofness and at the same time guarantee the watch's safety?
  15. How many pages? What is quality? What is age? Are they catalogs? Is each model showcased? Is there price guide?
  16. I am feeling weary of going swimming with it now this week-end. I would have trouble wearing it in the rain. The eraser removed the obvious stains (Thanks Narikaa... golly you're a good guy!!), but the gold appliqu
  17. Eraser works... sort of... it can remove the big blotches but not the little ones... and it leaves a hell of a mess.... What am I supposed to do now...? He says that it is totally normal but now I am told it is not good?
  18. Dealer says its copper that can be removed with Cape Cod Cloth. Is he correct? I ordered one of these cloths on the bay and it won't be here for a few weeks so I'm asking the community if anyone else has had similar issues to verify that this is indeed a fixable problem. The entire f---ing bracelet is covered in this disgusting brown s---. Here's the part which pisses me off - I had it serviced to waterproofed!! That means somebody in China handled this watch for some time, did they not notice all of the brown G-- d--- s--- on it? ----. Please help! Is it really easily removable copper residue or is it permanent misapplied 14K gold? There is some of it on the crown even... sigh...... (Look at the clasp in this photo, too) By the way, other than that, I can't get this beauty off my wrist! Gorgeous, gorgeous watch this is...
  19. Welcome!
  20. Joshua's Omega SMP Chronometer has very good lume, as do his sports Rolex models - at least my YM glows well. His Omega Seamaster GMT New Version glows well too. I can tell you the biggest danger is with PAMs. I bought a PAM from him.. barely glows at all! Some PAMs of his, maybe the high end ones will glow bright, mine did NOT. But I only paid a hundred bux.
  21. I like this watch... but the price is unusually steep.
  22. Tanfoglio. He is my hero.
  23. I personally have never had this problem. I always choose very carefully what watch to get... sometime it can be mind numbingly difficult. I remember having to choose between the white face and black face TT TOG... ended up going with black because the golden crown stuck out more... I would like to have some watches with a blue face I thought... so yesterday I bought the TT sub in blue from Josh. Cost me about 400 bucks, with all the bells and whistles of course, but I hear it is an excellent piece with solid crown and endlink.
  24. I actually just bought one. Got it waterproofed from Josh, too... I plan to make it my new 'daily beater'.
  25. Narikaa was selling that one not too long ago.
