  1. Yeah I agree, good wristies. But a little slow traffic this weekend. Well, this for Sunday.
  2. Thanks guys. Tempting, tempting... I always thought the BCE would be pretty much perfect watch if all steel was brushed. But dunno, maybe I need one bling watch in my collection too. I've been doing some reading and some people consider the v2 dial much better. Maybe v2 with upgraded Lello dw would be the best? Regarding the dials, the graphite is the only option for me of the SS models. Really good looking watch. TT versions are really nice as well, but maybe a bit too much for me. Keep 'em coming!
  3. I was negotiating a deal of a gen Seamaster "Bond" watch. Well, the deal never took place because we couldn't find an agreement of the payment method. The seller was ready to swallow the PayPal fee in his sales post, but later changed his mind (on the run) + couldn't agree to a $100 discount for me using the bank wire (that means virtually zero cost for the seller, and the buyer waiting 5 days for it confirm, and having zero protection). So f*ck him... Web is full of Bond Seamasters. I can always buy it later. Now I have some funds for another watch. Breitling Chronomat Evolution rep has been on my list for years. I never bought it, and I don't want to buy it now, either. But it looks like I have to. You know when the "itch" hits you... you can't help it. Please post as unpleasant and unattractive pictures of your BCE's as possible, so I can forget that ugly watch and use all my budgeted SMP money for something more useful. Like buying a sea cruise & night at Stockholm for me & my beautiful lady. Thank you!
  4. This feels like a good watch today.
  5. Freddy might be right and movement is the same as in DW Daytonas (i.e the mystery movement) but I think there was at least one other version of this vintage Rolex chrono... Paul sold this exact rep back in 2005, and that came with Seagull ST-19 chrono movement (the one that dealers still call Lemania). At least that's what I remember.
  6. The way I see it: When the buyer has sent the money, it's good manners to 1. Send a PM back about the funds received 2. Send the buyer instant information when the watch has been shipped (preferably with the tracking number) 3. Reply to any further questions about the watch. Everyone have 2 minutes a day to keep the buyer happy, and create him a peaceful feeling about the transaction. If you look at all the good and consistent dealers in the forum (Precious Time, Joshua, BK etc.) they always reply to their customers' questions. And they sell a LOT of watches and have a LOT of customers. Everyone can handle the communication of just 1 or 2 transactions easily. If you (for some reason) can't handle the communication due to a business trip, etc. you should inform the buyer about this beforehand.
  7. Breguet Tourbillon? How much does the gen cost? $500.000? $1.000.000?
  8. Get the SFSO. One of the best reps ever done. Blue dial color isn't exact vs. gen. Get the white or black dial if you want the most accurate. If you like blue, get the blue. This is a stunning watch/rep.
  9. This almost brand new full size quartz with new "Red" dial went for $850. Keep watching TZ and WUS sales forums. Good deals can be made. The old versions CAN be found for $600. Don't pay stupid prices to stupid sellers.
  10. Enjoying very early Friday morning with a cup of coffee, a NHL hockey stream from adthe.net... and wearing this white beauty! With the immortal words of Herr General Klink: Life is good!
  11. When the Bentley initially came out, it was a good rep. But times & standards have changed in 3 years.
  12. You can read the review of my old Asian 21J GMT and compare the pictures. Personally: I think the preowned SMP's are too cheap to go through all this trouble. I just saw a gen full size quartz sold at $595. Get the quartz gen and throw in a high beat automatic movement. I dunno if it's possible but at least it'd make much more sense than investing $500 - $600 to mods of replica(s). My 2c.
  13. Link Chronos have come with different pushers. This has similar pushers as the rep in my review: This has a bit more protruded and larger pushers: The "polished" bezel version has those smaller ones. I think Sturb's watch has the pushers from the "brushed" version. They're a bit larger. Well... not a big deal really. Just enjoy the watch as it is (imho)... nobody is going to notice 'em anyway. Link chronos come with all kinds of pushers, as you can see:
  14. Someone: Please report that criminal to Ebay, with these observations.
  15. Welcome to RWG! PS: Very nice Link GMT.
  16. At least 2 of those pictures have been stolen from this review. I bet those 2 other pics have been stolen too. Pictures prove absolutely nothing. Looks like a total scam to me. Stay away. Moved to Auction and Scam sites.
  17. Using reps as "testing ground" is an excellent advice. There have been some watches that have really disappointed me in the long run. SMP, however, isn't one of them. It's not the flashiest watch but it has certain unexplainable charm. I wore my rep pretty much regularly for 4 years and never got tired of it. I like the SMP "Bond" Chronograph even more. Awesome watches. But of couse, watches are a taste thing, and there are no absolute "truths". One man's meat is the other man's poison @b16a2: Lovely shots. Great SMP!
  18. We love those "brand sections". They work amazingly well, and we will add Patek section immediately (when the demand justifies that). Meanwhile, let's use "Other Brands" for Patek posts. "Other brands" section works surprisingly well too, now that people have gotten used to it. It has some respectable numbers, and it's among the most interesting sections on RWG (imho).
  19. We all love the brand-specific subforums. We really do... those are the "bread and butter" of the whole RWG... and we will add them as soon as there is a real demand. As I said previously: The Audemars Piguet area has about 200 topics... more than a year after it was opened. And 90% of those topics came there when I manually moved the AP-related posts from the Other Brands section (when the forum was created). It gets very little traffic. I doubt Patek area would create even that kind of traffic numbers. There are total of 57 Patek Philippe-related topics in the "Other Brands" section. The numbers don't lie, and those numbers don't justify creating yet another ghost subforum. But of course, if the factories start to put out more great Patek-reps things will change. So far the only "super rep" is the Nautilus.
  20. True. The new ones don't have the hologram sticker. Not 100% sure about the crystal etching but it's possible that they have dropped it too.
  21. Yeah I noticed this too (initially) but I automatically ASSumed that it had been posted to the sales section. My bad. I only use "View new posts" feature and you often don't even check which forum something has been posted to.
  22. Asian 21J movements are definitely NOT junk. Where did you hear that? Yes, they're cheap and there are more defect A21J's than ETAs because there is virtually ZERO QC. If you get a decent A21J which initially keeps good time, it can last 10+ years. I've heard many such stories. According to Ziggy they're usually even properly oiled, straight out of factory. Don't diss A21J. And even if it craps out, you can buy a new movement for pocket money. It makes no sense to service such cheap movement.
  23. Wow! It's very rare to see a ladies' watch collection. Nice ones, especially that Omega!
