  1. Best of luck mate! We definitely need more white Explorers here!!!
  2. I don't know where you can source the correct version guys. Lots of people would love to know. It's the old version that bklm1234 and I have... they're very difficult to find. This thread explains the differences between the models. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=22848 @TA: Oh yes, that one from dluddy... it's a beauty. But I doubt the gen dial would fit, just because that model has the cyclops and date mag positioned too right. On the gen and the old version is positioned correctly (more to the left). And to make it even more complicated there are two different rep versions of the old model too. Believe it or not, the other has correct dial diameter, the other doesn't. PS: I owned that exact same black ExpII model and the cyclops thing wasn't even noticeable... just enjoy that great rep as it is. PS2: If you're going to change a black ExpII to white, you have to change the hands too. Hands are matte black on the white and silver on the black (just like the hour marker surroundings). Here's a shot of my black version (same as yours):
  3. @TA8088: I don't remember exactly what model you have.
  4. Just be aware that the gen dial only fits to the old Noobfactory version of ExpII. dluddy learned it... the hard way.
  5. This is for people who want to build a white ExpII franken: Good gen tritium dial on Ebay. Doesn't look very expensive, either. http://tinyurl.com/3tf5yj
  6. Since we don't have a proper 42mm version, the best rep option now for the Planet Ocean fans is: UPO + aftermarket double AR + rubber strap. I wouldn't mind getting one, because the strap balances the watch nicely. I'm not obsessed with AR generally, but double AR is essential on a PO. @Robbie: Awesome gen. PO kicks Submariners ass in every possible way. Beautiful watch.
  7. @Bazz: That last movement pic is really nice. What PS trick did you use to make it "cartoonish"?
  8. Going to wearing my beautiful franken-ExpII today (Saturday).
  9. Good early Friday morning to Europe (and to my American friends a little later)! Starting the weekend with some heavy metal: Breitling.
  10. I seriously doubt there's anything genuine on that watch... except the crown (possibly). And even that is wrong for 16750.
  11. Uh huh... I don't like it at all. That one has very deep rehaut (like modern 16710). The GMT hand looks wrong too. I'm pretty sure it's a rep with some gen parts. Compare it to this (16750, circa 1980)
  12. What an impressive collection! Thanks for sharing man!
  13. Welcome man! You seem to like TAGs. Nice genuine TT Aquaracer quartz chrono! I like that smaller old model a lot.
  14. I don't like MBW and TW Best. They don't have good crystal/rehaut profile and look. Deep yes, but they simply look wrong. Noob is very good in this aspect, but then again the rehaut is shallow. I hate to say it, but the WM9 might be the best choice at the moment.
  15. @Lani: Great Carrera man! I like your taste! Today I'll be wearing my SMP chrono. I love this watch!
  16. Well done Corgi! That's the way to treat newbies.
  17. Actually the guy on the gen forum doesn't know all... the red 1680 also comes with the "modern" coronet and ROLEX font. It's a rare variation though. The coronet position is different though. My 1680 MBW (left) vs. gen. The red SUBMARINER font is totally wrong on the MBW, and it was the biggest reason I got rid of my rep. It's totally obvious.
  18. The 7750 date definitely starts to roll early... at 10 o'clock. On Swiss and Asian. It's completely normal, not a QC issue.
  19. Yes. Edit: 16750 is the "transitional model". It's the first Master that has a fixed GMT hand but high beat movement (3075 as you said) & quick set date. On 1675 the hour hand is definitely above the GMT hand... but I'm not 100% sure about 16750. Can you post pics of this watch?
  20. Say hi to the Breitling president. And whatever you do... don't invite him here.
  21. This lume shot shows the difference between genuine superlume and lousy lume on the rep hands. My franken-Explorer II. Yeah, I should change those hands.
  22. Case, bracelet, movement and crown look all genuine. Perhaps the dial is some kind of weird aftermarket version. I have no idea... maybe the Antiquorum guys know.
  23. Thanks Robert. Appreciate the comment. You sure have a different watch for each day of the month, don't you?
  24. Starting Wednesday with this one (again). It's a cliche, but I can't get it off my wrist. Let's see yours!!!
