  1. Nice. Why don't you wear it until it starts to show mechanical problems (if ever)... before swapping to the gen movement?
  2. Dunno about the ExpII... maybe I'll repurchase it, I really liked that watch. Too many Rolexes, too many flaws... By the way, here's a picture link to (most) of my departed Rollies + Stephane's Daytona. I like Carrera Racing too... and it would go nicely with my Link and Aquaracer. Perhaps... if a good member deal appears... @all: Thanks guys, appreciated!
  3. I just came from the office and changed to UPO. Probably will change back to the 'Racer in the evening.
  4. This is my collection at the moment. I have decided to keep it in less than 10 pieces. It's hard, but that's how I want it to be. THIS is how it looked back in July. I also have a Broad Arrow Speedmaster, which isn't in the picture (forgot it in my summer cottage). I might buy the new Sea Dweller, if the rep turns out to be awesome, but other than that... I almost consider my collection "finalized". At least until something really spectacular comes out. I have kept only the best of the best reps, and watches that really have stood against the test of time. I just counted that I have bought (and eventually sold) 16 Rolexes... and turns out that the GMT is the only one that I really, really want to own. My all watches follow the same pattern: They're sports watches. Quite boring and unimaginative, but those kind of watches I like to wear. Well, at least I have 5 different watch brands represented here. All of these reps are quite special to me, and I really, really enjoy wearing them all. My favorite watch: TAG Aquaracer Chronograph Day-Date 7750 (runner up: Omega Seamaster Chronograph 7750) The best rep: Breitling SFSO ETA My oldest rep: Omega "Bond" Seamaster ETA
  5. Maybe not "slightly" but yes... it's a bit smaller.
  6. That's a gen. Beautiful. I'm a huge fan of the GMT, and I'm planning to get the gen as well. Maybe for the next Xmas.
  7. Unfortunately I have no idea. I sent him an email a few months ago, but he never replied. That's unusual. I hope all is ok.
  8. Not sure, but River used to sell it. So the TT bracelet is definitely out there.
  9. Brilliant. This "racing" version is my favorite in the Carrera line too. Enjoy!
  10. Always blue for me. And with the TT bracelet, if possible. Beautiful watch.
  11. Any reason you posted this same message four (4) times? PS: I deleted the three other posts.
  12. That's beautiful slai. I'll probably put my 'Racer back on tomorrow. Can't really keep it off of my wrist for too long... I'm actually just testing the power reserve.
  13. Deja Vu, eh? Who still remembers all those Breitling reps from 2005? They all had "B" installed backwards. I think it's fair to ask at least some kind of refund. Quite annoying.
  14. Good Friday morning. End of the week is here... and what a rough week it has been! Early wakeup call for me today as well. The damn office is calling again... Well anyway... I'm going to wear this beauty today.
  15. Anything for the benefit of RWG. I will be one of the judges. Thanks, great idea!
  16. @Jet: Yes I know. I reviewed your watch too. Or at least I think it was the same one. See it here.
  17. Ahh... I wasn't aware he has that model in his website. It wasn't there until now. HERE is Elprimerozen's rep vs. gen comparison of this watch.
  18. Let's get it going! The 'Racer today (how did you guess?)
  19. All watches get positive reviews in the Chronos magazine. Chronos isn't an objective media, it's more like an advertisement magazine.
  20. I bought this watch for an upcoming GMT review/buying guide I'm planning to write. So I'm not going to details here... but it's indeed quite nice. Huge thanks again to my mate ***Stephane*** for his "delivery help". Much appreciated. Here's a quick pic.
  21. Thanks man. Glad you found the review useful. @startibartfast: You're correct... GMT hand is placed under the hour hand on the vintage models. Also on GMT Master I.
  22. It's been a rough day at work, so here come my late congrats. Your pics are great and inspirational, and you keep improving and improving! Nicely done, and the award was well deserved!
  23. Why the hell they installed a maxi dial into this watch? Someone in the factory must be smoking crack. There are at least 10.000 reference pictures in the Google image archive alone. This is pure ignorance and stupidity.
  24. Moved this to "Watch repair and upgrade". You posted it to the Omega forum, which was correct... but in the repair section it might get more attention. Good luck!
