  1. Wow. This is amazing comparison... I have added this link to the TAG Guide. Thanks!
  2. Let's get some action to the TAG forum. Let's see your TAGs/Heuers (past and present... rep and gen). Here's my past & present TAGs: TAG Aquaracer Chronograph Day-Date. One of my favorite reps ever: I loved the rep so much that I decided to buy the gen (though not day-date but the smaller date version) Here it is: TAG Link Chronograph Automatic The classic. Haven't owned this for a while but I'd love to get another Link one of these days. TAG Link Ladies' quartz This quartz rep of Link was ordered from Narikaa a few years ago. Gets wrist time every day, and has been working flawlessly. The build of this ladies' rep is very nice and solid, and my gf likes it a lot. Excellent "budget" rep. Wristshots: Let's see yours!
  3. Sorry man... I don't remember the grains. But at first I used some rough sandpaper to remove the metal faster, then of course changed to smoother one when the cg's started to look more like they should. Then I used abrasive metal polishing paste (got it from a watch shop) to give it the mirror finish. I think Cape Cod could work with this too... I don't know, never tried. Good luck.
  4. Indeed. $1200 is ridiculous. Unfortunately they have never repped the titanium version of the Seamaster. None exist, sorry. However a quick Ebay search reveals this auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/OMEGA-Seamaster-20MM-T...1QQcmdZViewItem
  5. I'm sure you'd be terrified to know how much I eat daily... especially when I'm training heavy. I don't even want to know much I spend to food every year...
  6. Uhh... that's all I can say. Agreed with others. Post (good) pics, please.
  7. Thanks. I can probably help with little things a lot, like moving threads to correct subforums, etc... since I'm working behind my desk a lot (doing editorial stuff for the magazine I'm working for). So I have the RWG screen open (almost) all day. Based on my experiences RWG is the best forum when it comes to moderation: fair, liberal and relaxed. It's easy to support that policy. And I already know most of the guys in the admin team well, so I'm glad to be here with friends. Thanks again.
  8. Early morning here in Europe... I'm wearing the UPO now... and probably through Friday and Saturday too.
  9. The gold Sub looks suspicious, but the GMT Master is genuine without a doubt.
  10. Josh and Andrew should sue Hublot for stealing their pics. No class at all...
  11. I'm not much of a car person but I really like the 8-series. I test drove the V12 version once... impressive. Great car you have mate!!! I have a "car wristshot" too... gotta take more of these.
  12. @Steph: Post a wristhot of your Daytona. I know you're wearing it man.
  13. This thread deserves a BUMP. I've been enjoying this book through the whole summer at my summer cottage. Once again I want to thank Relaxman for sending it to me. Thanks mate!
  14. I'm wearing the Link Chrono today. This gets wrist rotation maybe twice in three weeks, which is too little. That's the price you hat to pay for having too many great reps. Great watch!
  15. Fantastic and professional review as usual. I agree, if they can do the secs at '6 properly like this... there will be hell of a lot Daytona buyers. Me included. Funny how this review came out when I was just reviewing the Daytona rep, and wondering if we ever see a proper movement for it. Looks like there's some hope at least...
  16. I can't even look at the YMII without bursting to laughter. It's so UTTERLY PATHETIC.
  17. Last two Basel shows prove that Rolex has changed... instead of rugged, old school sports models they move towards tasteless bling for rich and tasteless people. God knows there are lots of them. Leopard Gaytona and the horrible YMII can't take away their history and legacy though. Just like this pink old model 500S doesn't make Mercedes any lesser brand. It tells more about they buyer than the seller.
  18. Wow...another great mod. Congrats! This watch is one of my favorites as well. And I echo your comments... it's my oldest rep, and one of the few permanent keepers in my collection.
  19. Thanks guys, you're too kind. Actually the white dial stainless Daytona was a challenge to shoot. The dial, bezel and lugs are very reflective. I didn't get any "mega shots"... shots that would have been fully satisfying.
  20. Thanks gentlemen. Appreciated. The rep really is thicker, which is a good point (that I forgot to add into my review). I guess it's due to the 7750 movement requiring thicker case... I really fell in love with the white Daytona during the construction of this review. I'm almost willing to take the risk with the movement, but not quite. I'm hoping that the factories will come up with some sort of good solution in the future... or at least improve this modification somehow. Daytona is something that everyone should have in their collection. This particular white dial stainless model is hands down the best looking modern Daytona ever. The black dial version (and the white gold variations) leave me cold.
