  1. What on earth are you guys talking about? I've never heard of any 7750-based watch "stopping" because the power reserve wouldn't survive from the date change. Actually that's the weirdest thing I've ever heard. 3 out of 3... sounds like a fairytale to me. This has the exact same Asian 7750 as every other rep chronograph. PS: It's beyond me why members complain about the lack of AR all the time now, even on reps that should not have AR. GENUINE SMP CHRONOGRAPH DOES NOT HAVE AR... except the very last 2007 model with red dial text (which has light one-sided AR, barely noticeable). And besides... the dial isn't very reflective at all. It's beautiful and detailed... and very readable in all lighting conditions. AR this, AR that... 12 months ago nobody even mentioned it, now it looks like people demand AR everywhere. You know... "the wall clock in my kitchen doesn't have AR and it's SO annoying..." A new photo I snapped of the SMP, enjoy.
  2. This was absolutely brilliant review, once again. Thanks man. PS: I saved this until I had enough time to relax with it (and a cup of coffee). It didn't disappoint. Keep doing these... much appreciated.
  3. @watcher: Amazing. I will link this to the Omega Guide asap.
  4. I bet your watch has the same faux GMT movement as my black Asian GMT HERE. I already sold that one, but the I recall the gmt hand followed time perfectly. Not that I really cared though, I bought it only for the looks. That was one of my most accurate watches ever by the way... all my Asians have been excellent timekeepers.
  5. The review good was. Impressed I am.
  6. Very nice review and pics. This is excellent "budget" rep... enjoy.
  7. Unfortunately there's no rep. I agree it's an amazing watch.
  8. The datefont on the Lite version is different. Andreww wrote a good review of the Lite version, which explains the differences quite accurately. See it HERE.
  9. Good morning. My Aquaracer hasn't arrived yet, so I'm wearing the cool Seamaster chrono today.
  10. Nice writeup Pugs. Very funny indeed... it was like a fairytale.
  11. My vote goes to SuperOcean too. That rep is just amazing. Actually it's not a rep, it's a forger's art (as Neil puts it).
  12. Woooo.....awesome!!! The nicest Rolex ever. Congrats man!
  13. Some of the nicest gold reps are Breitlings. Narikaa has fantastic new Chronomat... and I used to own this. Very heavy, 7750-based watch with decent gold plating. This was a good one.
  14. Yeah, at least certain kind of girls.
  15. Of course he did. Why did you have to make it public before you received a reply from him?
  16. How about the classic "uncle" story? I wonder why it's always "uncle", and not grandfather or brother. "I inherited this Daytona from my uncle, and I don't know if it's authentic or not. I have a friend who works for Rolex and he said it is.
  17. Yep. The "high end" reps that we access here are probably 1-2% of the whole replica market (MAX). That's just my rough estimation/guess though. We only have the high-end rep dealers here, because it would be useless to push standard street junk for our membership. The target buyer group for expensive reps is limited. Only a WIS could appreciate the things and details that we demand (and consider a standard). You think an average Joe could see any difference between ANY of the ETA Submariners from our dealers?
  18. Well at least they used to. It's just the standard 7750 tricompax layout. Wrong subdial spacing and all. Ubis frankens have a genuine El Primero inside. I dunno if they make the secs at '9 Daytona with the new (and better) high beat 7750 though. Ask the dealers.
  19. I'm wearing the SuperOcean again. Have a great weekend everyone!
  20. @Doc: That was a great and important review for many. And the very first one. Just look at the views you got. I forgot to thank you for the excellent review between all the hype and excitement about this watch.
  21. @Tom: Yep, I sure did buy it mate. The review is out probably by Monday or Tuesday (depending how busy I will be at the office).
  22. I read that Mercedes was around 20th in the quality survey... that a local watch magazine did. Behind Mazda, Toyota, Hyundai, etc. I'm not a big car person... but even I know that you have to be on crack to claim that Hyundai is better car than Mercedes. These surveys are mostly useless... manipulated by jealous Skoda and Yugo drivers.
  23. The Omega Guide got a small update. Some new models added. I'm always looking forward to new member reviews (especially for the watches that don't have them yet). Nobody has yet purchased the gorgeous black Seamaster chrono, for example?
