  1. Do you remember this thread from last January? http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=18650 Things haven't changed much since (considering Rolex). Now they (supposedly) have dramatically improved 16610 and the modern Dweller on the works... but I doubt they can nail it this time, either.
  2. Looks good Tribal. Where did that dial come from?
  3. @Jerry: This is Ziggy's review of the notorious "Seconds at '6" Asian movement you have in your watch. I highly recommend reading it, it's very professional and fascinating. http://www.rwg.cc/members/Movement-review-...at-6-t1414.html
  4. Link Chrono. But just like Vric said the new Aquaracer looks promising. Let's hope for the best.
  5. Great collection. And some really nice photos. I especially like this LV shot: http://img135.imageshack.us/my.php?image=lvpat2yj5.jpg
  6. Nice photos man! And welcome to the forum!
  7. You mention "Joe of Top Class Watches" in almost every post of yours. And guess what... we're not interested. I think the admins will have a little talk with you.
  8. I'm with Andreww and others. I don't like it. The logo is hideous. The standard black Seamaster chrono is much nicer.
  9. Nice shot man, and a good photo idea! I'll try to shoot a photo with similar theme later today.
  10. I wouldn't worry about those factory shots too much. They often have wrong colors (oversaturated or overcontrasted). Have you seen the factory shots of the blue Link? The color of the gen is completely different when you see the watch in the flesh. To my eye the blue color looks good. We'll be wiser when the first member review is out. The dealer/factory shots don't always tell the truth, either.
  11. Great shots man! No, awesome. Yep, the best rep ever.
  12. Since it has been released... anyone have pics of the watch with rep bracelet? King's and Joshua's sites show nothing yet.
  13. Damn, I was just going to reply something clever there... but you beat me to it.
  14. Okay guys. Here's 5 pics of the genuine that I've found from the Yahoo search (old model, without the day). Looks like the rep is pretty damn nice. And the black version:
  15. Yeah, I have used Precious Time because I don't want to take the customs risk. My track record with Asian dealers is pretty sad. 2 reps and 1 genuine TAG ordered from Asia, all stopped by the customs. Not confiscated, since it's not illegal to purchase reps for your own use (in my country). But they want the proof of the purchase price and (22% vat)... and generally it's a lot of hassle. I've heard the Canada customs is similar in that regard. However everything I've gotten from the US have arrived without any problems at all. But actually I think the customs problems were more related to the commercial shipping companies. All come through when you use just registered, standard airmail. My all new 7750-watches have been good. I have no doubts about the movement... and we always have Ziggy if something goes wrong. ETA Valjoux would make the price so high that it wouldn't make any sense to buy the rep... I mean, this is a 1.5K watch.
  16. Yeah, I've been waiting 2+ years to get a rep of this one. I will get mine as soon as the bracelet version is finished. Precious Time says it's out in 2-3 weeks. Very cool watch...and yes, the rep is excellent. They did this right, just like the Link chrono.
  17. I was searching the old RWG (ssh, don't tell anyone)... and found this picture of Richard Lawton's solid 18K gold Day-Date. It was purchased from Paul in 2004, and I recall the price was something around $2.5K. Yes, it IS real solild gold. Personally, I'm not a fan of DayDate/DJ line, but this is quite amazing rep if you ask me. I hope you don't mind Richard, but this watch deserves a thread here as well. Picture by Richard Lawton of course.
  18. Welcome Jerry. Could you post pics of those Daytonas with the stopwatch resetted so we can determine what they have "eaten"... ie. what kind of movement they have.
  19. According to Precious Time it'll take 2-3 weeks.
  20. $400 for an aftermarket dial? You guys are insane.
  21. The double AR would make UPO almost perfect.
  22. The 4th Gen is still awesome rep. It only has a bad pearl and shitty bracelet/clasp. I wish the makers would "finish" the smaller version. While I love my UPO, I still think the smaller PO is more balanced and better looking watch.
  23. Not good to put these on Youtube... or any other public medias, imho. This is exactly the kind of stuff that draws the watch manufacturer's attention.
  24. Great UPO shots Stephane. Looks like you were unlucky with the crown... it's very typical problem with the UPO. I wound up this for today:
