  1. Hi I am thinking about getting new reps and I need advice. I am always looking for something "interesting". Few years ago I fell in love with IWC 3714, but according to movement problems, i decided to wait until I can afford gens once in the future (100 with his stunning 3714-82 frankens is a damn lucky guy ). I have bought Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine Diver Chronograph RG/BK instead, which are simply great, but not suitable for daily use (thick and heavy). I am not fan of Rolex or PAM (too mainstream, everyone have them ), as well as i was not fan of Breitling - the same problem. But I have changed my mind yesterday, when I saw Breitling Superocean 42 in the shop window. This particular model is something different from those usual Navitimers, etc. I was also considering IWC 3767-08, but cannot find proper reps with all three subdials in black color and I do not like Slevin as much as 3767 (and the next disadvantage is, that they are thicker than Superocean 42). My question is - should i buy Breitling Superocean 42? Thoughts, flaws, recommendations? I personaly like the Black/Yellow version and i wonder if it is available only with black Diver Pro strap, or you can get gen Black/Yellow Superocean strap. I have also seen, that reps offer 3 or 4 different movement options (depends on which seller offers them), so which one is better? Has anyone exchanged or modded dial and hands for more accurate gen colour? Thanks for your help
  2. Oh yeah. The problem with sec@6 is the reason why i did not purchase them yet. There is voice in me that says: buy gen 3714-82 or 3714-38 or let it be... And it is also the reason why my first rep was Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine Diver Chronograph RG/BK But i know for sure, that gen 3714 will be my personal gift to me for reaching advocate's status. 2 years estimate....
  3. Hi guys. I was searching through new items and found these: http://www.puretime.co/product/iwc-2012-08-21-05/ It looks like there is new lettering for Portuguese dials comming. If you look closer at the numbers 2, 4, and 0, they look more accurate than on previous versions. Maybe it it's just me, but i feel that they look bit thicker than they should be. Anyways, I hope to see this lettering on 3714. Maybe this will finaly persuade me to buy them And there is also a next visible change. Look at the crown. The side features Probus Scafusia sign as well as it is thinner from top view. What do you think?
  4. Thanks anyway. So far i found out that the movement should be Remington type or what was that.
  5. Hi. As the topic states, i am having problems with identifying these watches (nope, these are not rep ). From what i know, these watches should be pre-war and are 14K gold savonette. Does anyone here (watchmakers, watchlovers, experts) have any idea about who manufactured them, where and aprox. when? Thanks a lot As you can see, there are not many markings....
  6. I fully understand your passion for UN. I think you cannot go wrong with it. I received the night before christmas these MMDC and i was blown away with its quality. All Diver series are just perfect. I would hit that
  7. Stayed with yesterday's choice. UN MMDC.
  8. Last day of the year 2011 belongs to my Ulysse Nardin.
  9. Looks nice to me. Many thanks for your answer.
  10. Hi. Where can one buy watch box for Ulysse Nardin? The only one i found is this: http://www.kuvarsitw...roduct_id=30981 Do trusted sellers hold this item? Many thanks.
  11. Thanks for all the answers so far You really helped me a lot making my decission. My first purchase will be Ulysse Nardin. I had placed an order, but guys on puretime did not have them in stock, so they refunded me the whole payment. I will try to get them from the other reseller as they look great. IWC Portu is going to be my next purchase for sure. My only concern were those issues with sec@6. Is there any difference in reliability between 25J and 29J version or both have to be properly serviced? Tourbillons are nice to watch at for the first 30 seconds, but after that, it starts to be boring So I agree, that the price is high and rep tourbillon watches are not that accurate as non tourbi watches. Moreover for the price of any tourbillons I can buy UN and IWC together. So UN won in this selection. Now i gotta find someone who has them in stock... maybe replicamake88 or perfect clones. (to my nickname, 1988 was the last year Van Damme made a good B+ movie X) ) Thanks guys.
  12. Hi. I need a little help in choosing some nice dress watches. I narrowed my search to following candidates. So here they are: 1) Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine Diver Titanium - black dial, rose gold plating (with black rubber or better with two tone bracelet). - found nice replica here: http://puretimewatch...diver-tt-black/ (gen) (rep) 2) Audemars Piguet Jules Audemars - black dial, rose gold - can be seen here: http://puretimewatch...-rg-black-dial/ (rep) 3) Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Tourbillon Moonphase - black dial, rose gold - http://puretimewatch...-rg-black-dial/ (rep) 4) Vacheron Constantin Malte Tourbillon - black dial, rose gold - http://puretimewatch...illon-handwind/ (rep) 5) Vacheron Constantin Malte Regulator - black dial, rose gold - http://puretimewatch...-leather-strap/ (rep) 6) Breguet Jubilee Calender Tourbillon - http://puretimewatch...old-white-dial/ (rep) 7) Something close to these beauties Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Date Tourbillon 39 (gen) http://www.jaeger-le...e-tourbillon-39 IWC Portuguese Chronographe Automatic (3714-82) - black or grey dial, rose gold - http://www.replicama...K-28800BPH.html (gen) (rep) I know that range is from 200 to almost 800, but i need advice. Which out of these would you prefer taking into consideration built quality, accuracy, feeling, previous or current experience, price/value. According to price/build quality, i would go with Ulysse Nardin or IWC Portuguese. But Audemars are nice as well. Many thanks for all the comments.
