  1. Glad to hear some news. Right now i'm in process of decision between TC Sub 16610 or BP 116610LN. Hopefully these updates made me easier to decide You are doing great work T.
  2. Maybe you should ask devilseam, if he would be so kind and provide you with some comparision pics. His yellow SO44 is a beaut. I saw him posting one of these beauties earlier this week in general discussion
  3. If you have a small wrist like me (6,75") at 44 mm it all depends on how the lugs are shaped. SuperOcean 44 has nicely curved lugs, so they fit even small wrists. On the other hand watches like Tag Heuer Carrera cal 1887 or Carrera cal 16 Day-date have lugs wich are not curved much, which makes them uncomfortable to wear on small wrist. I ordered SO 42 instead, because at the time SO 44 was not available. If you like the style of SO 44, i think you can either visit TD and try it or directly place an order
  4. Glad to hear good news. Wear it well TDs are not selling 20-18 rep straps. There are some nice aftermarket BOB straps but they do not come with gen Breitling buckle. That is why i decided to order gen 428x. Now you have some good reason for buying another rep for your strap (it may be feeling lonely)
  5. Some really nice pieces here. Superocean 44 looks great but icoopernicus Aqua Terra is simply amazing. Great taste guys!
  6. Also it looks that DWO print on the secon batch is offset to the left.
  7. Noooo... So the only solution for perfect ceramic insert is gen, which as a combo with dial sells currently on RLX forums for $1100? Holy cow. :-D
  8. I thought they were selling BP inserts separately for $25. So what are we talking about? When i come back from holiday i am checking the stocks and placing an order for noob v2 (or wait for new batch)...
  9. To be hones i am a big fan of new ceramic sub. I was still thinking about one thing "should i get perfect TC LV sub with old style lugs which is more classy, more gen like, but i do not like it that much, or rather 116613 which looks great but them guys say there is problem with clasp and also gold ain't a good choice for wearing them on a daily basis and it has many flaws (off cert, CG, crown, clasp, hands...), or wait for 116610 from noob which can be just another "best to date" sub but not as attractive as 116613 but at least good for daily use...". I do really love fat lugs, ceramic insert and maxi dial but don't like LV. So i can buy TC's sub and mod it to 16610LN, or buy current 116613 (as SSTEEL's look pretty fine when you do not place it under magnifier glass) or this 116610 which came live today on PT. Looks pretty fine but i will rather wait for real shots. Perfect rehaut engraving looks fine as well the other things. When i come back next week from holiday, i think i will definitely go with these. The only best sub is and always will be made by Rolex. It is not worth waiting. It is all about enjoying this hobby till you are a complete broke with few nice watches Case looks fine, i will just place an order for TC's new DWO and wait for new batch of maxi dials. Stick markers still look to be a different shade. But overall it looks fine.
  10. 150 people want Aqua Terra repped... That ain't a bad number. I have seen that some seller on RWI was putting together a list of 150 people interested in getting AP Tour Auto 2012 LE repped by noob factory. As a limited edition with serial numbers going from 001/150 to 150/150. They even want to make two versions. So if this list of 150 people would be sufficient for noob, they could get Aqua Terra repped (at least two different versions). Right now i am thinking, how about contacting that seller and ask him few questions?
  11. I am still trying to figure out which gap do you mean, but i do not see anything special. To me it looks fine. If you mean that stripe on the inner silver ring of bezel insert (case which holds sapphire), which comes from 7 to 11 clockwise, i think it is just a reflection. I would give it yes.
  12. Gen is gen and always will be. Having thousands laying around, I would buy myself IWC 3174-38 and Rolex 116613LN sub and wear them like hell. Like By-Tor said, not all of the gens are worth buying. I think that any watch for more than 10k is not worth the price i.e. JLC Master Tourbillon may be nice way to waste 40-50k, but not for me. Having a rep on my wrist i do feel more comfotable when i wear it. I do not have to be affraid of cracking them somewhere, losing them or getting robbed. I just enjoy the gen feel of stylish timekeeper on my wrist, whilst others have no idea, it is just a rep. And as was stated before, for a price that you pay for servising one gen, you can have 2-4 super reps and enjoy the different styles.
  13. That's some great news, keep us posted Inner ring colour is a common problem on SO42. All of them are bit "out". Most accurate are white and black versions. On the other hand coloured versions are more eye-catching. Compared to gen, red, blue and yellow looks to be more saturated on the gen, but it is slight difference, unnoticable until you place them side-by-side. Anyways great choice, and i am sure that you will love it This is my daily beater.
  14. You are welcome. Thanks mate Good luck in your search. I'll have my fingers crossed.
  15. I would be glad to see Aqua Terra repped. I have tried gen 38,5 mm at AD and only thing i can say about it is that they are stunning. I have tried the grey dial version and it looks awesome and feels absolutely perfect on the wrist! Don't kill me guys, but i like it much more than 42 mm PO If there was a proper Aqua Terra rep, I am deffinitely in. Please add me to the list Whether it was grey or blue dial, 38,5 mm with transparent caseback would be deal maker for me. It all depends on how close to gen could the factory get. I think that the construction/design is quite simple so it has potential to for a great rep.
  16. Eagle eye Yes, it is a gen 428x strap (black calf 20-18). I was searching for it maybe two months. It is not a big problem if you just want to buy it (plenty of them are for cca 400 USD). Problem is buying it cheap I was checking ebay daily for worldwide offers but had no luck. My top was 80 EUR for a strap without buckle and 30 EUR for a buckle alone. Straps were usually auctioned around 96-148 EUR without buckle and bout 180-190 EUR with buckle. I knew that this strap is not worth anything more than 130 EUR and buckle alone 50 EUR as stated on uhrband24 - they have gen straps for almost everything (found link to them on this forum). After those two months i found nice offer on unofficial B forum (i think you will find out which one it is) They are selling gen straps for competitive prices. My gen 428x came for 115 EUR shipped from NYC to Slovakia. The guy who has sold me the strap is the same guy, that was on RWI known as "strapdaddy", but his sales section is closed on RWI, dunno why or what happened. I would recommend him as i had positive experience with him. Thus these closed sections and banned members usualy have their cause. At this moment i can only recommend you to check bay, B forum, uhrband24 and google like I did and you have to patiently wait for best offer Gen strap is deffinitely worth it and it makes the difference. Rubberized 225x is also nice choice for SO42. You can also try to ask here in WTB section. Them guys are very kind here on RWG and i am sure somebody can point you to right direction. Post some wristies This thread is worthless without pics
  17. ok so here you go. andrew carries it here: http://www.ttw888.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_89&products_id=10461 perfect clones: http://www.p-cls.com/0rlbzsub-black-ceramic-bezel-submariner-116600-p-13340.html more dealers cary them, just ask them and choose wichever you want. i have no info about availability, so you have to ask them prior.
  18. As I do remeber, Andrew was offering ceramic bezels for both 116610 and 116613 for $25 i think. Just have a look at his site, in rolex accessories section i think. I can PM you link when i get back home if you still need one.
  19. This is the first thing that i do when i want to place an order. Sometimes the particular model is not available and you have to wait or choose something else. When i was ordering my first rep, i waited 9 months until UN Maxi Marine Diver Chrono in RG came available. This is why i used to contact 3-5 fav' TD to check the availability. But it definitely does not mean, that particular model will never be restocked. You just have to waaaaait :-)
  20. Fingers crossed. UN El Toro looks sweet. I hope to see some reviews soon :-)
  21. Hello. First of all let me welcome you here on this great forum Now back to your question. You are right, as there are few differences between older and newer version. I am affraid, that currently you cannot purchase the older version from TDs , as they all usually have the same stock and it does not matter whoever are you buying from. However the differences are almost unnoticeable. But if you are desperately hunting for the older version, you can always visit trading zone a wait until the particular version will be for sale. The other option is to ask one of the trusted dealers which model do they have. There is also one other thing I would like to mention if you consider buying SuperOcean 42, as i do not know if you are affraid of it. Let's call it "stripping crown" problem. If you search a bit, you will find a thread about this problem. There are few guys who had this problem with SuperOcean 42 and it seems that some of them suffer from weak crowns. One thing that was not confirmed is, whether it is common problem of all SuperOceans 42 or just older versions or totally random. So whether you choose newer version or wait until the older appears in trading zone, enjoy it Here is a little peak of this nice little piece of time I wear it as my daily beater and it is very comfortable to wear. But if you are looking for something with almost no flaws, maybe you should go for something bigger like SuperOcean 44.
