ahahah… this one is hilarious. if this isn’t some sort of a joke it is even worse than I think. First you suggest not posting here, preventing a blight on someone’s name (probably forgetting that information is also prevention) and then you suggest PM you and “Trusty”… this reminds me an old anedocte about east germany in the 80’s that ends up with a censor saying “you have no need to shout it in the street, next time you whisper it to me in my ear”…

There is something as old as societies called business ethics, being it goods, smart goods or even fakes; its business after all… and it should apply to all. I am here since the early start of the forum and saw and read many, many things, while buying from almost all the “T”D’s, some still around, others not. What I shared above of the latest experience with TT is true. if his reputation is stellar for you… well, congratulations. To me, after what has been posted here, yours sounds a ridiculous remark. Anyway, guess the community (i am part of it but i exclude myself from what i will say next) and the dealers are lucky to have you around… unfortunately this friend of mine is not part of the community and look what he got buying from a world wide open business website… Best, Marco

Mine is not so a so-accurate-homage. bezel is brass (heavily oxidized now) and I have two Adrian’s brevet crowns and even the correct tap but i am not good enough with metal works (yet) to redrill and re-tap the tube hole in the case. And where I live I cannot find anyone to do the job for me M.

Hi R.! it has been a long time. hope all is well with you. thank you for the compliment As for mil watches I still have a couple of cases, one hamilton and other an international watch co, both bought in Vietnam (you helped me identifying the movements if I remember correctly). these are beautiful and comfortable wrist watches, well balanced design. when i started in 2006 my focus was on vintage panerai; I keep the ones I made since they were ongoing projects reacting to improvement after improvement to reach the possible perfection. I keep them, of course, but can no longer use them. the long process on each one of the pieces is as interesting as the results.

Given the lack of alternatives, this one comes out of accessible parts (ebay and aliexpress) that i worked on, reshaped and repolished (case) and dial produced from scratch and with the technology available. It is handmade, with lacquer (and mustard) finish, properly assembled and lumed with resinous solution. All by myself and taking advantage of working from home.

Dear all, i belong to this circle - more or less active - since the early start and bought from almost all TDs here, some of them no longer around. I had it from Trusty many, many times being the last one in 2018 and recommending him to a friend as well. My last experience was lousy I must say. I wrote him to double check that an Omega Seamaster 120 he had listed was available and upon his positive confirmation I ordered and paid. Three days after that I was contacted back and informed I should choose another watch since the 120 was out of stock. Refund option was lightly discussed and I was offered a discount instead that i used moving forward. All ok to this point but I got the idea that I was lured. Worst happened a bit later after I recommended TT to a friend who ordered 3 watches from him shortly after. Two of the watches he received were damaged; one wouldn’t wind, the other had a crown issue and a damaged bezel insert. Once contacted about the issue reply was suggesting sending the watches to China and wait for the factory to send the replacements or to check with a local watchsmith (in both cases at his own expense). Refund was out of question. This second situation was very embarrassing as you must understand. TT behaved like a kind of mama san. If this deserves the prefix “trusted”…

Thank you Bob! at some point I got fed up with the same sources and same mistakes so I decided to do it myself… save some dolla, learn a lot and have some very decent results… plus i brought with me something from an old watchsmith in Ho Chi Minh which is a resinous substance with suspended old lume powder which is a blast and here is the regular dial… much easier to lume

The vintage dials always fascinated me and since there is a gap in sourcing accurate dials for our projects I finally decided to produce them myself, first researching and then re-designing them including the different kind of fonts and the subtle variations of logos. This “burford” is just the first of a batch of accurate variations of sub dials (no date) I am currently making. It is in its final shape, lacquer finished and also lumed by myself with resin lume suspension as done before the luminovas and such. I will update new pictures as other versions are produced. For now, enjoy this one and later some more as I will be using this dial myself for my 6538 milsub. And finally, for me, this is a goodbye to yukis and riyis and ill spent dollars in stuff that could (but its not) perfect

It is not rocket science. geometry has no secrets. i redesigned and printed using an MBW dial window position and recentering numerals according to the partition of a circle in 31 axis. did the same vertically so every numeral is fitted within the regular window opening. Disk has an od of 23mm and id of 15 and print is done in silver vinyl film sticker to allow repositioning without glue and a minimal thickness for overhead.

Hi. can one of your kind souls help to identify this mvmt? it came in a Pam087rep, bought in 2007 from a fellow member (finepics) and must be replaced. I need your help to identify if its an A7750 or a DG2813, knowing the rotor and plates are modified. thank you in advance. M.
