  1. I dont think thats a DW but my watch defiantly measures 37mm 19mm lugs. My watch has a ETA 7750 and a case that is identical to a DW. The case back is totally differnt though. It will even accept a V72 although I need a case back Im not having much luck in finding one.
  2. Hes at it again, someones getting ready to get hit $15000 http://cgi.ebay.com/Rolex-Daytona-6263-Ful...1QQcmdZViewItem
  3. Well Ive been fooled... Could we get a shot of the rehaut from the side? ubiquitous needs to look at this. If this is true its amazing because this watch is in his possession as he supplied every picture I ask for on demand IE closeups ect. Hes trying to pass a $12,000 gen off as a $300 rep that reverse psychology at its finest. Not to hijack this thread but I have a new infatuation I think this is real...
  4. Scanned 95 pages of antiquorum couldnt find a exact match but lots of very similar watches in the 40s to 50s era.I don't think a rep manufacturer has ever copied that movement.
  5. This is a awesome rep but rehaut looks too deep to me. Look at the T in superlative or this S in in swiss made. You guys are the experts on this though. This watch is very nice and I only hope that the watch+box I got stuck in customs right now is as nice ( If I ever get it). Subby is this a fraken? the Cgs are amazing!
  6. Your rep is very nice, enjoy it. Theres no current model thats better.
  7. Theres a member that has some really impressive reps he has a daytona thats unbelievable. Heres the link to the thread theres lots of pics of GEN vs REP. Daytonas have a shallow rehaut. http://www.rwg.cc/members/Daytona-secs-6-t26384.html
  8. Nice crown guards. Really that watch doesn't get too much more accurate than the model you have. The biggest flaw on these watches is the deep rehaut. Your pics arent good enough to judge the dial print.
  9. It looks like it has a V72.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ROLEX-OYSTER-CHRONOGRA...1QQcmdZViewItem
  10. Whats the justification for the price difference between these two watches? http://www.perfectclones88.com/rlgs10003-m...362-p-2516.html http://www.perfectclones88.com/rlgs10011-m...932-p-2807.html
  11. From what Ive read youll never see a true 1:1 until the rep manufactures find a way to copy a rolex movement successfully. I mean If they can copy ETA movements why not rolex?
  12. I was looking into getting a red/black GMT. My experience with GMTs has not been the greatest. Either the CGs and the crown are totally wrong or the date wheel is sitting high or low. This watch looks nice but I couldn't decipher if Josh is the same Josh from Perfectclones. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...p;hl=gmt+master
  13. It was test fitted everything fit. I believe my case is different from the watches that you are thinking of in that its pushers and crown are inline.
  14. I see what what your saying but theres a big difference between a $40 sub and a $200 sub. Theres not much difference between a $200 sub with a some attention to the CGs and a $350 sub. For me dials and date wheels are what drive me nuts.
  15. As a fellow noob Ill tell you that with subs mostly what your paying for on MBWs are the CGs and the bezel. The dials, crowns. bracelets and movements are mostly the same on as any $188 sub. The rehaut can be a problem on cheaper subs. Anyone who is moderately good with modeling or working with metal can file the CGs to look acceptable.
  16. My CN accepted a gen crystal. I dont deny that the MBW is a better watch. It should be at 2x the price. Its also not as ready available as the CN.There must be some reason Joshua and Andrew choose not to carry MBW.
  17. The first MBW 1680s were not powered by ETA movements. I believe it was a miyota movement. Im glad that he sold to you he (George) told me he didn't sell to those he didn't know. The price at the time was $400.
  18. Heard from my watchmaker yesterday, He said my will watch will accept the VJ72. I thought this might be the case as the DW and EE have the same pusher arrangement. My watch also has a ETA 7750 not a asian copy. So now all I need is a dial, hands and a case back! Almost there... I was also wondering If I could have the ETA 7750 installed in the sec @ 6 model I have on order?
  19. UMM the newer models may be using a ETA but older models used MIYOTA movements. Steel quality is fine on the CN both watches have poor quality dials. I have a Gen 1680 and the CN for $180.00 is a nice watch. Im sorry but the MBW 1680 is not worth $400. When I was in the market for one about six months ago members were offering them to me for $600/$700. Like I said this is all academic as 80% of the members on this board couldn't get george or TTK to sell to them. http://replica-watch.info/forum/viewtopic....;highlight=1680
  20. For the money the CN is a good watch (almost 1/3 the cost) it also uses a better movement than the MBW. The two biggest faults here are the retaining ring that holds the crystal in and the bezel. neither watch is water proof, neither watches dial use the correct coronet and neither watch will fool a expert. That said the CN after the CGs are filed and a gen crystal is installed is a nice watch. If your a Noob like me really I wouldn't worry about the MBW as none of the dealers will sell you one anyhow. They are very selective about their client
  21. Just bit the bullet on this one. I know it has two horrible flaws. #1 Its probably going to last all of 3 days. #2 rehaut too deep. That said Ive looked at this watch for 2 months and decided I had to have it. I also bought the box from Joshua and some extras off ebay I figured at the very least it will be a impressive static display.
  22. Does TTK have a website?
  23. Im just kinda freaking now cause I purchased a vj72 from a watch peddler here in indy. Now Im looking for a suitable dial, hands and bridge I already have gen pushers, crown/stem (not installed). I dont know what to make of this as Im reading conflicting posts.
