Ive been following this watch for the past week and find it amazing that no one has posted detailed pics. Yes the dealers have pics but their poor quality factory pics. Im really interested in seeing detail pics of the crown tube, rehaut, dial and CGs. Lastly are Andrew and Josh offering the same watch? I know from time to time their watches differ as they sometimes source from different factory's.

Every time I see one of these watches the gold is a different color. Yours being a pre 2000 model seems to have a more red hue than the 2000 and up models which have a white hue. The 1970s era TT and soild gold model were a very yellow gold.

Well can anyone tell me what in the heck version this piece of #^%! is? I ordered from a trusted dealer and got this... Im not sure what it is but its not the watch I ordered.

By-tor which version is this? I bought it from josh about 8 months ago...

These reps from andrew have held up well. I Dont wear them every week but they have had some serious use. These are the 14k reps.

There are versions like that. In my opinion reps should be as close to stock as possible. I dont want anything on my watch that might bring unwanted suspicion.

6241 The acrylic bezel compliments that dial. I only like the steel bezel on white or silver dials.

This is totally different than the GMT I got from josh 2 weeks ago. And nothing like the one I read in elprimerozen's review. Theres too many versions of these things you never know what the heck their gonna send.

Thanks By-tor for pointing out that build quality is just as important as correct font or placement of the coronet. I get so tired of threads that praise certain reps that have such obvious issues such as print quality on dial/date wheel. While other watches with very nice dial print get slammed for a incorrect coronet.

Dont worry about rep homework. Go to ebay find a reputable dealer ( lots of positive feedback). Look at the exact watch your buying year, model, ect. Compare pics and dimensions Try this site http://catalog.antiquorum.com/catalog_asta...t&s_batch=1 Spend hours looking at fine details. All the dealers outside of a few drop ship so really you have no control over the quality of watch your going to get. Andrews watches seem to be the best of the drop shippers on this site. Im kinda [censored], the last 2 watches I bought have had defective sapphires (not from Andrew). I know if this is happening to me its happening to others. I now have a 5 day old watch in pieces due to a sapphire that the edge basically chipped off. Im searching for sapphires online not my Idea of enjoying my watch.

If you have a dremel drill press you could use calipers to mark the exact location to drill. If you cant do that you could always drill another set as long as your VERY careful. If you chose this you would have to change spring bars and adjust end links. You cold always just drill some dummy holes 3/4 the way through. Have fun looks like you've already took the back off the watch so youll probably have no problem as a modder.

Looks to be a fairly nice watch. The only thing I see that stands out is the acrylic crystal stands a little high and date mag is a little low. My first gen was a 77 TT maxi dial. This model may accept a gen crystal but you need to take the bezel off to be sure. Lug holes are a problem.

My 16613 from andrew accepted a gen after market crystal. They will not accept a rolex seal the cases are different in that respect.

Will a gen after market crystal fit Joshua's daytona? I tested a gen crystal from a 16610 and it fit. The newer reps are using gen style crystals beveled edge and plastic seal.
