  1. Yikes the price looks like a mistake...have you tried the cartel ones? I remember seeing this model on their websites when I was looking for a base BR03-92 as well. (null)
  2. Happy New Year to all you guys! May 2012 bring us more quality reps! Hahaha! (null)
  3. +1 on the closed caseback haha - one of the best tips I discovered as a noob (still am) (null)
  4. 292k - the ceramic case can fool most if you choose to. Not many non-rep geeks can believe the case can be repped. (null)
  5. Maybe it's got to do with being able to sell more if 'improvements' are released in stages rather than coming out with the 'ultimate' on the first try. Kind of like software? - planned obsolescence - they earn more by slowly releasing v1, v2, etc than giving you that ultimate v20 straightway. That or these vintage models aren't exactly their bestsellers and hence not worth that much effort in QC. (null)
  6. Bad. If I'm not wearing my Diesel - Fuel for Life (null)
  7. I'm no daytona expert, but the biggest tells to me for most daytonas are still the dials. (inner tachymeter markings, font shape size etc) Again, just my own lousy opinion (null)
  8. Well done - can't wait to see how it'll finally turn out. (null)
  9. Beautiful...is this the limited run of cases that Wolf recently did? (null)
  10. Simplicity of the base design and dial layout with just enough text to not be too cluttered. Very nice. (null)
  11. Vintage subs are like fine well - they age well, and can almost only get better with age and careful use. I don't think modern subs would ever see the kind of provenance Their predecessors did. They hark back to an era where watches were used and even abused, yet kept on ticking with single-minded purpose. That's class. (null)
  12. I think being able to own such an accurate rep isn't meant to fool anyone, but rather to have the satisfaction that it's as close to the gen that we can achieve - and frankly it's no shame owning a rep of such an iconic piece - simply because such a gen piece may never be available to the 99% of real Pam fans like us. (null)
  13. Definitely one of the best aged vintage subs I've seen - do you take commissions?? (null)
  14. Hey thanks a million for all your effort in the side-by-side comparo - really reinforces the fact that the devil is in the details (in this case almost 18K worth of it) between rep and gen.
  15. I'm a 6.3inch and I think it looks fine - sometimes the length of your forearm counts too not just wrist size - longer forearms can help to "balance" out a thinner wrist and make it look more proportional. Why do you think stick thin supermodels still look good wearing pammies??
