  1. Anybody want to post a new pic to stump us?
  2. WINNER tsexports its your turn to stump the chumps! It was a gen btw!
  3. Good first guess, but wrong. It is a chrono though!
  4. Here's how its played. I will post a cropped pic of part of a watch. You guess what make and model it is. If you are correct, you get to post your choice of pics. Lets see who has the best eye for detail! To make it even more interesting, the pick can be of a gen or rep. See if you can guess that too. (not required to win the challenge though!) Have fun! To get things going I'll start with a fairly simple one... Gentlemen start your engines!
  5. No, my Navi is still in transit, somewhere in Vancouver at last check. Hoping it will make an appearance sometime soon. The TAG I'm looking for looks like this. http://www.tagheuer.com/the-collection/car...dex.lbl?lang=en
  6. Hey TTK, thats the best avatar yet! That is a beauty watch, but have you seen a rep of the new Tag Carrera Chrono? I've got a buddy who would like to get his hands on one.
  7. Be careful with ebay, you will notice the wording is misleading on the straps you are referring to. It says "Genuine leather Breitling strap", not a lie when you say "Genuine leather" breitling strap. These are reps and I cant comment on the quality. I have only seen one genuine deployment strap recently on ebay, a black sharkskin with a $400 reserve. I would look at BOB straps. They are reputable and have assured me that their Breitling straps are constructed to identical standards. For me the best indication of a gen/good rep strap is the thickness of the band at the lugs. Breitling straps look to be about 3mm at this point, and the thickness decreases as you move away from the lugs.
  8. Admin, I feel for you dude, but I don't think your being on jury duty would make sense as a reason for letting you go. Firstly, you've already done your time, and you are probably the least likely person in the firm to be called on again. It just doesn't make any sense. More likely is that the firm found someone to do your job for less money while you were away. I work in the Mutual Fund business in downtown Toronto, and I'll keep my eyes posted for anything in the accounting end of things for you. In the meantime, enjoy the weather and take some time to recharge!
  9. Just get it opened and push the second hand back to position. Then don't hit the reset button unless the hand is between 10 and 2. Or have it glued and never worry about it again.
  10. Online surveys usually aren't very accurate, as the subject heading alone is likely to draw the attention of those who have had issues. If I had a working 7750 I likely wouldn't even look at the post. If I had a dead 7750 I would pay close attention. So, likely Your survey is skewed. I would pay attention to Andrews comments. As a dealer, he likely has a lot better handle on failure rates of these units than anyone. My guess is that if there was a failure rate of 50% in the first 6 months he wouldn't even sell them. His advice mirrors exactly the advice The Zigmeister gave me when I asked him how to treat my 7750. Possibly the quality of these units is getting better, because I rarely see stories of anything more than slipping second hands when resetting.
  11. That really suck edge! I recently lost access to my yahoo account (5 years worth of friends, all gone). It didn't cost me anything, but did open my eyes to how unsecure the web can be.
