  1. Tell us more about the crown, it looks great!
  2. The funny part about this is that I talked to TTK about this and he warned me that this guy would disappear. I thought it would be good to be one of the first customers. Nobody disappears before the first deal right? Anyway, is still think that in allowing a dealer here or there, he should come to the table with at least some credentials. BTW, if the address he provided proves to be bogus, you may want to contact trusty. Apparently he has sold him a watch, as well as shipping him a replacement band. He will definitely have a valid shipping address.
  3. I don't think we are going in circles r11co, It was obvious that TRC was a little too lax in allowing Crippler in. I also believe that RWG probably has a higher standard, thus why Crippler thankfully never became a dealer here. You are correct however that this incident serves as a wake up call to all boards.
  4. Ken I do see some validity to what r11co is saying. It does seem that Crippler really had no qualifications to be a dealer. He had no previous selling record, be it on the boards, ioffer or anywhere else. I'm not saying that anybody is liable here, just that TRC was a little lax in its screening process.
  5. yeah, the only tricompax navi that uses the 7753 is the modern navitimer (current model). All others I believe are either venus or 7740 movements.
  6. Hey Lan, thanks for a great review! I've never really had much interest in IWCs, but lately I'm starting to notice them more. Wear it well mate!
  7. Definitely not from a 7750. My best guess is that its some sort of special edition of an 81600
  8. Congrats Dutchy, time to reward yourself!
  9. Hey man congrats! I would just add to leave the crown unscrewed for a couple of days to allow the glue to fully cure.
  10. Don't know how I missed this one, but an outstanding review nonetheless! Thanks for your efforts!
  11. Doesn't the asian version use the DG 2813? Why not just replace it with the same movement? You can pick 2813s up for under $20.
  12. I used epoxy for my first two attempts but I found that after soaking, it would give way soon after. I've recently re glued it using "Sumo Glue", which is a competitive product to Gorilla glue. It expands about half as much as Gorilla glue, so it seals nicely without the spill over. Good luck!
  13. Nice watch, looks to be the same as mine except mine doesn't have AR
  14. No difference in slide rule accuracy when talking dial color. The accuracy problem is in the bezel insert, not the dial. The white dial does camouflage the date window problem slightly better than the dark dials however.
  15. submersible24g = Bryan Pannel = BASE submersible24g ≠ Crippler
  16. If it has AR it is likely swiss, if not its asian. Adjusting the accuracy is a fairly simple procedure, and is a good skill for everybody to learn.
  17. Actually I was logged in. I would get to the main page (showing I was logged in), the after exactly 8 seconds the page would automatically redirect to the error page. Seem okay now though.
  18. Hey Lan, thanks for dispelling any doubts that were out there. You know how I feel on the matter, and I'll take a shoddy truthful review over a glossy, well edited sales pitch any day.
  19. LOL, good point! I was certain that I had put mine in there at some point. I guess not.
  20. Its been CRIPPLED I know, bad taste, but funny nonetheless!
