  3. They are already out the, bud Sent from my LG-P999 using Tapatalk 2
  4. Removing and replacing the hands is the hard part. Removing the dial consists of loosening the screws securing the dial feet and lifting it off. I'll be sending my builds out now cause I constantly ruin the hands. Sent from my LG-P999 using Tapatalk 2
  5. I have removed hands and replaced hands with tweezers. I can't recommend this method as I damaged the hands doing this. Sent from my LG-P999 using Tapatalk 2
  6. Definitely dial side work. Sent from my LG-P999 using Tapatalk 2
  7. Sorry Woof, I neglected to mention none of my movements have dial or hands mounted. It would take longer than 20 minutes. Sent from my LG-P999 using Tapatalk 2
  8. I did this to three of my movements. Keyless works are messed up. Only use a 1.2mm screwdriver to very lightly press the button and remove stem. Fixing the keyless works is actually really simple. I have no experience and fixed all three of my movements using tutorials from here. Search for keyless works. Took about 15 minutes to fix. 9. Perfect day for the 1680. Sent from my LG-P999 using Tapatalk 2

  11. I will be in line when you're ready for orders. Excellent work. Sent from my LG-P999 using Tapatalk 2
  12. Thank you both for the responses. I have a new 2836-2 movement that I may have transplanted into the 1680. I've been wanting to have the silver datewheel installed and I guess this is as good excuse as any to have the DW and new movement installed.
  13. I've been watching, too, and have been enjoying this telling. Looking forward to tonight's conclusion.
  14. My Rolex 1680 is running on a Swiss ETA 2836-2. Lately, I noticed the movement has been stopping intermittently throughout the day. When this happened, I would hand wind it, it would start up, and then several hours later it would stop again. This happened everyday for the last week. I let the watch sit a few days and then decided to shake it a few times instead of hand wind to get it going. I'll be darned if it didn't run all day. Next day, same deal. Shook it and wore it no issues. What gives?
  15. Try a datejust. 36mm. Blue dial. Date function. Seems to cover all the bases. Sent from my LG-P999 using Tapatalk 2
  16. Yes date wheel is on the movement. Sent from my LG-P999 using Tapatalk 2
  17. Maybe a good deal: http://www.ebay.com/itm/GENUINE-ROLEX-OYSTER-PERPETUAL-1520-AUTOMATIC-MOVEMENT-17-JEWEL-COMPLETE-WORKING-/320905956308?_trksid=m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D3%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D8487294938854036789 If I had the funds I would claim it for my 5513 build.
  18. My 5512 is in pieces already. I'll take a look when I get home.
  19. That's the look I'm going for with my 5513 build. My insert is the same color. Dial is similar too. Sent from my LG-P999 using Tapatalk 2
  20. Very nice Map. Every time a see someone else's Tudor it brings back memories of my 94010 build o screwed up.... but it also makes me want to finish the project. Thanks for sharing. Sent from my LG-P999 using Tapatalk 2
  21. Yes the Yuki dial will fit the Josh case. I'm was doing s similar build until I fouled up the hands and keyless works because I'm a noob. But the dial was a great fit. Sent from my LG-P999 using Tapatalk 2
  22. Almost all that I have seen have been built off the 5512/13 case. Many are using MBW or Josh 5512 as base case.
  23. I had similar experience as woof. Gen parts fit well on Josh 5512. I did have to use case press to get the crystal retaining ring to sit properly. Gen bezel and insert snapped right on with Rep ring. Sent from my LG-P999 using Tapatalk 2
  24. I was recently bitten by the Vintage Rolex bug (my pocketbook is very upset by this). Last month I acquired a few piecs and had the camera out the other day, so I decided to take a few photos. Also in attendance at the Rolex party was my confused 116610...you'll have to excuse him, he's the black sheep of the family. Group Shots MBW 1680 Red Sub Mods: Shaved CG's, Gen crown and tube, gen crystal, gen bezel and insert, clark hands anged and lumed to match the MBW dial, gen rado 2836-2 movement, rep 93150 with 580 ends. MBW 5513 Mods: Gen crown and tube, drilled lug holes, ETA 2836. Future plans will be to add gen bezel and insert, crystal and work the CG's a bit. Josh 5512 I purchased for a Tudor 9411/0 Snowflake project COMING SOON Confused 116610 - ceramic bezel snapped and I installed an aluminum. More Group Shots Thanks for looking! Steve
  25. OMG that is a beautiful sight. Those wouldn't happen to be ETA 2824-2 would they? Need one for a Tudor build... Sent from my LG-P999 using Tapatalk
