  1. Hi , not been on for a week or so like the new/old look. Lost VIP status along with everyone else you have pm...
  2. Love my Vac Lumed black 3717 but never convinced about the Brown dial St Exp. However that looks amazing, nice lume shot
  3. Hi Andy, Welcome to RWG The first 'Swiss version' Steelfish released in 2007 was a superb rep and for awhile it was available with a Breitling font DW. I say was, because I think this version was discontinued or at least that is what every SOSF post on the sales forum has stated for the last year I owned the blue dial rep and it was an awesome watch, much better than any gen you could get for the same price. So good in fact that my wife bought me the gen! Only flaws were uneven lume on the markers (this affected blue dial versions), the lack of lume on the cardinal points on the rehaut, Incorrect font and curved face of the 12, 6, 9 markers and the SS bracelet didn't match the quality of the case. I wore my rep on a gen blue pro diver strap and ignored the other 'Flaws'. The blue colour of the rep is very nice, the circular guilloche is well defined (unlike the BCE) and if you have never seen the gen dial you will be very happy with it. However, compared to the genuine all of the dials look one dimensional, they don't have the sheen and multi-tonal quality the gen has. Hope this has helped! Cheers,
  4. Just spent the last five minutes laughing at this thread, too funny!
  5. Not seen the PAM 359 before, thanks for the fantastic photographic introduction AmStaFF
  6. Mike, Great Submariner, which is even better now I know the story behind it
  7. WM9 / BK V2 Sub... er probably nothing! The pearl looks nice as does the crown. I wish George would get a shift on with his SD Project!
  8. I was lucky and found RWG through one of By-Tors incredible reviews, the quantity of High quality information available here never ceases to amaze me. RWG is far from dead and I am more than happy that it is not the replica watch equivalent of Facebook
  9. Hi Omar, Good to see where the money from the Franken SA went, enjoy the Nikon
  10. Thanks for the info Mike, very interesting (and shocking) reading. I dread to think what the AD prices are in the UK..... Cheers!
  11. Great Comparison Dave I love the SA but it is just far too big for me unfortunately. Your photo of the SA next to the Skyland (which is a big watch) really shows just how massive it is.
  12. I had the Ultimate black themes Sec's@12, the bezel width may 'only' be 42mm but the case design means the Lug to Lug measurement is more like a Super Avenger than a Steelfish Unfortunately, the weight of the watchhead, the design of the bracelet and the very short strap length mean't I couldn't wear it comfortably. Having said that my father-in-law who hates big watches and has slightly smaller wrists than mine loved it and was gutted when I sold it! So I guess that means the only way to find out if it's right for you is to try it
  13. Thanks for the replies guys, Very interesting bit of info Brightight, so it was just the luck of the draw The watch finally cleared customs today, had me worried for awhile, but it should be on my writ by the weekend Hopefully there won't be too much extra to pay on
  14. Thanks for the advice Lani, I have already contacted the seller to find out how the watch was packaged, just waiting for a response and will take it from there. Just got a PM from the seller, he declared the package as broken watch for repair and valueof $50. Just completed the form without an invoice (private sale) and faxed it off. will find out if everything is ok when i check the tracking . Cheers, Richie
  15. Thanks for the reply Watcher, I am very tempted just to declare the watch as something else. But,the excise form requires proof of payment or invoice attaching for the item and I don't have anything else I can use to provide evidence of the transaction for the item. Don't really want to pay the
  16. Hi Guys, Just bought a BK modded WM9 YM off the sales board and the watch has been sent from CONUS VIA USPS Track and Trace. I have received plenty of items from the US before and wasn't paticularly worried about UK Customs. Unfortunately, the package has been held up by UK Customs and I have just recieved a Customs & Excise form through the post. The form requires me to fil in the details of the package and provide a copy of the invoice/payment, I am guessing I will just have to declare it as a pre-owned watch and take the VAT bill (£55)on the chin? Anyway reading the covering letter, it would appear the reason it has been stopped is because the sender declared the item as a gift, but failed to declare what the item was and it's value. Has anyone got any advice on what my next step is or how to reduce the chance of items getting stopped by UK Customs in the future? I suppose my first lesson from this would be to avoid USPS/Parcelforce and just get items sent via regular mail! Cheers, Richie
  17. I am in and forgotten my number already in the excitement
