  1. Classic Seiko diver and like most of their automatics, unavailable in europe. Lots of bargains to be had on the net though (PMWF is a good starting point), I managed to find the 'junior' 38mm version of the SKX007 (SKX009 I think) two years ago for
  2. Depends on how BIG you want to go Breitling Avenger Skyland (43mm) or Breitling Super Avenger (48mm) are very good.
  3. Thanks to everyone involved in providing a very interesting and detailed review . I wasn't keen on the Deepsea when it was announced, but I am lucky enough to have seen (but not handled) the genuine in the flesh and it (along with the price tag) blew me away. Looks Like more of my money will be going to PT.......
  4. Yep same here, seen a few nice watches in the sales section I have had to let slip by ..........
  5. Someone has been burning the midnight oil, I know it has already been said but..... awesome work Toad.
  6. Noticed the Ebel Discovery in an AD in York on Friday, the Panda dial really stood out head and shoulders above the other dials.
  7. Only had a quick look but..... Speedy has correct subdial placement, SMP Bond has correct HEV @ 51. I own a GEN blue dial SOSF , but don't know enough about the rest. I like the AR on th ingy. Nice collection
  8. Welcome to RWG jpc I think the point Rolexman was trying to make is that the answer to your question is readily available on the site. You can learn all you want (and more) about chronographs (and the Asian 7750 inparticular) with just a few clicks of the mouse. If you want to keep that beautiful new TAG Aquaracer running properly you would be well advised to read The Zigmeisterzumbas very informative posts
  9. Guns n Roses (The Perils of Rock and Roll Decadence) Prettys Tied Up. MP3 Player is on Random
  10. Leather? This has come up in a previous VCO thread. The strap is part of what makes the watch so distinctive. The combination of highly detailed guilloche dial with the Maltese cross theme extending from the dial to the bezel and down the strap, culminating in the deployment clasp, sets the watch apart from the other 'sporty but smart' watches. I am fortunate enough to have picked up a 'best' white dial 42mm VCO (no AR, but it doesn't need it) and it is beautiful (thanks Jkarpas). Unfortunately, no one in my social circle will recognise it (they will be surprised I am not wearing a seiko kinetic like everyone else) but I will never get called out wearing it. Out of interest I checked out the price of a 2nd hand Gen VCO in the UK,
  11. WoW that wrist shot makes it look HUGE How does it wear compared to the SFSO? It looks like it sits quite a bit higher on the wrist. The polished bracelet looks fantastic, much nicer than the brushed satin finish. Awesome watch!
  12. Arghhhhhhhhh! Hadn't even considered a TAG Carrera Chrono until i saw the comparison pics. Great post, now I have to try and restrain myself from reaching for the credit card and save myself yet another ear bashing from the wife!
  13. Yep, have a problem with the crown in my pumpkin, waiting for Precious Time to send me a replacement crown (assuming he can get hold of one.) It's a shame because the rest of the watch (excluding the wrong logo with crooked placement and slightly loose clasp, on mine anyway) is great. Having said that, I have now got a steelfish and that is in a different class again.
  14. One name springs to mind The Zigmeisterzumba! He can do the lot just check out his profile.
  15. WOW, great shots Pug! I still have a few days wait before my Blue Steelfish arrives in the post. With Phobands seafish 'glowing' post and now yours, that few days now seems even longer Can't wait to get this watch on my arm!
  16. The phrase 'you pays your money and you take your chance' comes to mind. From what i've read on this site, with ANY 'replica' you buy you take the risk that some time down the line it will develop a problem. How soon depends on what direction the wind was blowing and how much sake was drunk the night before etc. You have to remember that although they look like the real thing they are just a $25 watch or 'Mutton dressed as lamb' as my grandma used to say. I haven't bought a chronograph yet due to the well known problems the Asian 7750 has and because Swiss7750 replicas are relatively expensive. However, I can hear the BCE ultimate (white dial with black leather ) calling my name. I just haven't decide wether I can afford to take the $350 or the $600 risk edit: Just seen the post above!
  17. Hi fellas need some help please Ok, so I have had my Ultimate P.O orange (eta) for about a month and a half (bought from PreciousTime). I have pulled the crown out twice to set the date and time (once when it arrived and once when I hadn't worn it for a few days) and a handful of times to (gently) manually wind the watch. I have noticed the crown slipping the last couple of times I have wound it but didn't think much of it. Any way I unwound the crown yesterday to wind the watch up, the crown turned winding the spring up, but then nothing. I noticed the crown felt 'wobbly' and disaster! The only thing holding the crown to the watch is the spring which (I assume) pushes the crown out when it is unscrewed. On inspection it would appear that the tiny stem, covered by the spring, has disintegrated. I have put the spring and the crown back on but the the crown will not screw back down on to the case. EDIT: Hmm, having thought about it a bit more I have just emailed PT to see if he can get a replacement crown and repair it for me. Thanks Richie
  18. Just spent some time drooling over Angus's BCE Ultimate pics in the dealer section. Breitling has never really done it for me, their watches are either too ostentatious or just plain ugly, but the graphite dial BCE is a beautiful thing. Just gotta try and get this one past the wife next month
  19. I aready know the answer to that....... I voted yes :-)
  20. Hi, Registered yesterday and have been 'lurking' just to get a feel for the vibe and read up abit. I stumbled across RWG after reading BYT-TOR's planet ocean review. Just wish I had found this place sooner.... I kinda fell into the replica watch thing after looking for a genuine (pre-owned used) Omega SMP mid-size for my father in law and being amazed at the amount and quality of the replicas avaialble. I fell in love with the Submariner LV and bought an ETA rep for myself from cqout, the seller was a dropshipper but it was the cheapest eta rep available (£115). I've worn it almost everyday for a year and it is still on my wrist. Unfortunately the wear is starting to tell, the pearl is missing and the bezel no longer works correctly - my 20 month old neice broke it by turning it constantly! Not sure the real thing would have survived though ;-) Anyway, after being bitten once i am looking for another replica but thought I should do some investigation first, I think i've found the right place. bye for now.
