I was swapping watches out of the watch box and onto my watchwinder when i noticed - "WHERE THE F*@&$ IS MY SEAMASTER? Of course, the first thing i did was to ask my wife if she touched it - which was not received very well. I mean, i looked high and low all night till about 3 am this morning and still cannot find it. When i woke up today, i really thought it was a bad dream, but to no avail, the watch was not in my watch box or my watch winder. I really have a sickening feeling to my stomach. This was my very first rep that i had modded throughout the years (gen dial, gen hands, Chief's original A/R, chief's new A/R, different inserts and most importantly - the elusive and rare closed case). Here's a pic: I went looking in every jacket, suit pants pocket (even though i know i wouldnt leave them in a jacket pocket) but still nothing. My wife had asked if i may have accidentally sent it out by mistake and i said no, even though i had to think really hard for about 10-15 minutes. I mean, how does a watch just disappear? I know if i dont put my watches away, i may leave them on my nightstand or on my shelf in my bedroom. Looked high and low - behind and under the bed, under the cushions and under the sofas, in the kitchen, my TV and liquor cabinets - nothing. It was to the point that i even asked my dog if she had eaten it . FOUND

Watching the live Olympic coverage from my condo in the West Loop (Chicago) and couldnt believe that we got eliminated and didnt make it pass the first round. I didnt think we would win it, even though there were whispers that Chicago was in the lead. But not make it out of the first round? Wow. Anyone else stunned?

Wrong insert (Big Numbers is for the 2254/2255) as well as this Bond was only made in Blue (40th Anniversary)

About a year or so ago I did the same - used an orange insert with the white numeral dial. I didnt stop there - i also added the green insert as well. I think it actually makes the watch a bit more sharper than your usual black inserts. Wear it well.

The watch was previously modded with the following: - Gen Insert - Gen Dial - Gen hands - Hour, Minute and Seconds - Gen Rubber Strap The gen GMT hand cannot fit this movement (modified ETA 2836). The hole size is too small. Therefore, i had two choices: - Somehow, make the hand hole size the same size as the rep GMT hand hole size. or - Somehow, come up with another creative way. I noticed that the gen GMT hand was a tad bit wider and of course longer than the rep hand. So, I put 2 and 2 together and came up with the following solution - glue the gen GMT hand on top of the rep GMT hand. A little skeptic at first, but after executing the plan - BOOM - issue solved. Now I have a truly Franken "Ultimate" Omega GMT.

Nope. Still used the rep movement. The gen GMT hand will not fit this movement. Therefore, since I didn't like the rep hand, I performed a mod to get the gen GMT hand to fit.

I have just completed another mod to my Ultimate GMT. Can anyone guess what it is? HINT # 1 - A gen part was used. HINT # 2 - This piece was already modded with gen parts. HINT # 3 - It plagued GMT owners who wished to fully mod their rep GMTs with gen parts. Here's some pics: Let me know what you guys think. Very nice project Pug. I modded my Ultimate UPO with gen parts and contemplating whether or not to do the same with my 42. So many projects, so little funds Enjoy the watch Pug and wear it well.
