Thanks Zig. Reason why i ask is that i had a mark on an old UPO dial. When trying to tab it out with some water (I did use a QTip), it actually took some of the paint off.

The Zigmeister - quick question - you can actually wash a dial? I would have thought water could remove some coloring from a dial.

If you get a swiss movement watch - you're good to go. You can go mod crazy However, for an asian movement, you can mod an asian watch w/dial only. THe gen hands (swiss) will not fit the asian movement. Puretime/Angus sells the PO Lite - 45.5, the correct size. You can swap dials and crystal. I beleive it has the correct hand lengths - you would just need to get it re-lumed. BTW - I Had a UPO up for sale earlier this week. Where were ya ?!?!?

Gen hands will not fit - as the PO lite uses an asian movement. Gen hands can only be used with a Swiss movement. Master - there has been plenty of UPOs for sale in the sales thread (as well as on RG).

Please note - the UPO Lite should be 45.5 in size. Watcheden and others have Asians PO in 45. As for the crystal, they should be mineral with A/R codingl.

Nope - the 4th gen is the final edition for the 42.5 As for the UPO - what you see now is more than likely the finish product. I have seen many versions of the 45.5 PO and when they get one thing right, they tend to get something else wrong. Its funny when they say "Built by using a Genuine as an example." Well, if you have the gen there, then how can they f up something, right? Buy a used one in the gen section as they are going pretty cheap now, including the clones (around $200). Buy yourself a gen dial, gen hands and send the crystal to Cheif for some double A/R treatment. I really dont think the pearl is that bad, compared how other pearls looked like on other Omegas.

Just read a thread on RG where the Blackbird has been problematic for some members, especially concerning the date. With the date being a huge issue, I heard its a pain in the a$$ to fix as well. Any RWG members having any issues witht heir Blackbirds?

Not saying its a 1 to 1 ratio, but how many sales originating in the EU perfer the sales to remain in the EU? If you like a watch, even though you live outside of the desired shipping location, PM the seller and let them know you are willing to take the risks invovled. On a side note - yes, CONUS, as well as any buyer EU buyers buy reps from Asia. If the rep is seized, the buyer can go back to the dealer and ask for another one. However, for a private sale, the seller doesnt have that luxury to send a replacement if and when a watch gets seized. I beleive this was discussed before where a watch(es) and/or parts were either lost or were seized. THe buyer went ahead and filed a PP dispute to retrieve funds. That left the seller without any watches or funds. He lost out.

Why isnt this in the General Discussion where it has been previously discussed? To me, if a seller chooses to only ship to certain destinations, so be it. Its no different when sellers state that they can choose who they want to sell to (i.e. Supporters over non-supports, etc).

I was pretty lucky to come across some old cases. For the 2531, I purchased the case on RWI. The owner didnt realize he was parting with the closed case. As for the 2532, I was able to find a closed asian electric blue for sale and swapped those cases as well. Ya never know what surprises you'll find in the sales section !!!! Once completed, I will have Seamaster Sibling Rivalry Part II - The Seamaster 2254 vs the Electric Blue.
