  1. 68Mustang- Click the link to ofrei - http://www.ofrei.com/page863.html At the bottom of the page, they show the Seamaster 2254 version. On the pic, it will lists all of the parts and the numbers. If Ofrei has to special order the parts, it could take up to 3 weeks. Hope that helps.
  2. Chronus- Here's the reason why the Gen second hand and the GMT was not installed (as explained by the master - Joe): "The second hand has a tube on the back that u press down on the post of the movment, ok well the genuine one is shorter than the rep one, so it will not go down deep enought to secure properly and when u press it all the way down it hits the minute hand, cause the hands r up higher than on the smp to accomadate the xtra gmt hand, therefore no room the gmt hand oem hole size is almost double smaller than the rep gmt hand hole size, cause the chinese added a third outer wheel and tube and it is really a big hole in diameter compared to the oem gmt hand hole." Therefore, I am going to contact Paul to see if he has the reps for these 2 hands in the correct lenght. And so the project continues.......
  3. Neil- When you said that you "finally pulled the trigger" I thought it meant that you finally got those 45mm POs that you've been talking about....
  4. Marrick - Awesome 2254.....I think you're making jsph jealous...lol jsph...
  5. NICE ! Let the MADNESS begin (well, I see that it already has).......
  6. Marrick you tease LOL .....Can't wait till see the finish product. Judging from your past projects, I'm sure this one will be a winner as well ! But the question remains, when are ya going to pull the trigger on a PO?
  7. When does the hype start for this watch to come out ?
  8. Very very nice.... Makes any Omega collection that much better......
  9. This version, I think is the 2nd or 3rd version. (I'm losing count). I really like the black version over the orange and the rubber straps over the steel bracelet. I know a "+" of Andrew's 4th version is the orange outlined triangle on the bezel (pointed out by RBJ). Just noticed that my version has the black outlined triangle on the bezel as well. Not bad for an early PO version.
  10. Here ya go....this PO is from River.....
  11. Damn you marrick ! LOL...Adding another 2892 to your collection I see? I just sent Joe my Blue SMP tp swap out the dial with a gen and realign the bezel....I would have loved to add a 2892 movement to the mod process, but I'll stick with the 2824...unless you're in a giving mood ?
  12. Some clarification: The Gen second hand was not used - it had a shorter stem compared to the rep which had a longer stem. However, from the first lume pic above, that's the gen second hand in the pic. Joe advised me to use the rep bezel insert over the gen - it was just a better fit. Now, using the rep insert, of course the rep bezel will fit without any issues. Joe did install the gen bezel at first, but there was a bit of gap (not that noticable by the nake eye), so we left the rep on. To make the gen fit perfectly, Joe would have to do some additional mods. Maybe throwing the GEN bezel on will be part of Phase II.
  13. Yes, the GMT has finally landed (since I finally figured out how to take upclose pics). Can't wait to see yours as well. Hopefully I can secure some other parts to improve this bad boy. BTW - Does this mean that finally, there may be some interest in the Omega GMTs after all?
  14. Joe had the genuine on, but it just didn't fit right as well as the rep did. Joe informed me that the stem on the Gen Second was shorter than the rep. Therefore, for the sake of not having a functional running second hand, we opted for the rep instead. Additionally, I did see a GMT rep with the bezel being all black with silver numerals instead of being half and half as in the pics. If I can secure one of these, I'm going to have Joe continue the mods.
  15. Joe did unbelievable job with the mods. Great communication and very detail in explaining everything - from mods to watches. As for the watch - I really like it. Haven't really used the GMT hand except to see if it actually works, which it does. In order to move the GMT hand, simply pull the crown out as if you were going to change the date. Instead of turning upwards, turning downwards will move the GMT hand. Keeps great time and can't get over how awesome the lume on this watch really is.....
  16. One thing with using Genuine parts - unbelievable lume. Here's some great lume shots: This was shot during the mods process - And one more once the mods were completed-
  17. This is what I started with: Rep Parts: Omega GMT - 2836 movement (from Paul) Genuine Parts: Dial Hands (HR, Min, Second* & GMT*) Bezel* Bezel Insert* * was not used in the mods I purchased all of the geniune parts off eBay for a really great price. Once I received the watch from Paul, sent it to Joe to swipe out the rep parts with the genuine. Once Joe completed his magic touches, I received the following from Joe:
  18. Here's a pic of a 2nd/3rd gen Black PO with the black rubber straps from River. It has a 2836 movement.
  19. Still waiting to see Andrew's Black PO 4th Gen as well as Neil's 5th Gen POs (the 45s). Like Joe said - for $120, can't go wrong. I recommend to get the black rubber straps, especially if you order the black version. I have River's black PO with the black rubber straps which I like better than the usual steel bracelet. Also, I think it looks better with the straps - just my 2 cents
  20. Great insight & details like usual Joe. Damn, I was waiting for the black version, but I may have to pull the trigger on this orange monster.
