Of course not. I was just referring to the local availability argument. I find charging more than what you would pay for new is not fair too. (Unless it is no longer available..) But you have to bear in mind the huge price differences between EU and USA..

Re: local availability depends on where the watch is located and where it comes from. if you are living in the EU and buy from PT you will pay 200 EURO for a watch that a US located dealer sells for 200 USD.. but sure, you don't want to hear any 'risk crap'. tell that to all the members that live in italy and other countries with strict counterfeit laws and customs..

I'd say every watchmaker should be able to get this done. You could disassemble the watch yourself, that should keep the costs down. However I'd like to see how that turns out. Pictures appreciated.

Well, it was just that i read on gen forums that Rolex is bitching around because of a hundred things when you bring them watches that have had work done by anyone else than Rolex. And when i walk in there with a disassembled watch without hands... Is 250 Euro OK for everything besides the hands? The case seems to have some scratches but that wouldn't bother me too much..

the topic says it all. it is a tudor oysterdate quartz (35mm). found a gen case with bracelet and movement but without hands. would it be hard to find matching hands for the watch? or can i just waltz into the AD and tell someone to slap some hands on that thing? the watch without hands would sell for 250€..
