Awesome. A 100$ Citizen Promaster automatic will give you no problems at all, while a 500$ Superrep will die after some wateraction..

The person who is going to produce those crowns actually D O E S C A R E ! ! !.. So you better cope with it.. I don't see what the problem is, someone is willing to take the risk in producing the crowns and doesn't want anybody who is coming straight from google to stumble upon his name and plans and every other evidence one might need to file a lawsuit. Why do you guys think Jimmy Fu isn't giving his plans out? Making some drawings for a proper crown is not rocket science. Yet no one of the soooo experienced members with thousands of posts has tried to make some crowns himself or "start the fire".. Since things are in the making now everyone can decide wether or not he likes the crown. If you don't just don't buy it.. The idea of this thread was, that everyone could chime in with some suggestions with what the crown should look like. I don't see why you would need the drawings unless you want to produce some yourself..

Women with mens watches (or bigger than womens sized)
Tom Hawkes replied to knex78's topic in General Discussion
I'll second that. -
I had four Unitas Movements so far. 1 gen swiss mvmt (the one with the stickers on top to simulate the E series paneraipaneraipanerai engraving) 2 hybrids (ETA stamps but different balance wheel, dagger, swan neck... (E + H series)) 1 asian 6497 (No stamps or anything (H series)) Every movement was keeping perfect time, winding perfectly smooth and making no problems at all.

No it is not the final version. "the best is to close this thread (contact a moderator) and realise all "secret"." I wonder why nobody gives a [censored]..

Oh. I thought PP was meant.. PP is more of an exceptional option as far as i know.. you would have to ask the admin if he accepts.. -

"You've just made me change my thoughts from "may contribute" to "will not."" Someone else probably just changed his thoughts from "may help" to "will not". "Not true. When I click on the upgrade button and the link to pay with credit card, I have to agree to setup a reoccurring payment. I won't do that. Especially with the way the USD has been performing lately. Who's to say the 30 euro won't be worth 100, or 200, or a bizillion USD in a year." If you are paying via PP you can subscribe, pay once and right after the transfer you can unsubscribe so that no further automatic payments are made. When your upgrade runs out you just do it all over again.. -
That picture is awesome. So is probably Emily..

pams on girls look good no matter what.. :b @outlandos imho a panerai needs to be handwound and big. if you are ok with an automatic movement you could go for a 40 mm pam. there are radiomirs with 42 mm but thats another story.. the others are 40, 44 or 47 mm..

Well, the engraving on the movement is pretty thick, the swiss made is pretty high and the bars on the A's are pretty low..

Test: Officine Panerai Luminor Marina

"However, the strap fits this watch perfectly and it is the right combo to wear at the Indianer Jones 4 preview." This is exactly what I was thinking. If Indy had to choose a watch it would be a nice handwound PAM on a rugged thick leather strap.. -
DSN Fiddy...Need replacement Crown Guard Screw...
Tom Hawkes replied to bTrizzy's topic in The Panerai Area
Well, if it was missing in the first place or damged, you should insist on a free one.. imho.. -
I guess what you can do about it depends on whether the pin is to small or the hole is stretched out. If the pin is just to small you could probably ask silix to source a proper pin for you. However if the hole is stretched out, you need to source bigger pin yourself or ask silix to provide a new crownguard. If you use superglue there is a big chance that you will glue the lever in place and wont be able to open it again I guess. Also not sure about how good the loctite will work. Good luck.

I really don't get it. What is the point in buying a watch with sapphire crystal, water resistance, swiss movement and so on, which are all just serving one purpose: to make the watch more reliable and expand its lifetime, then spend another 300$ to get the watch serviced, superlumed and whatever mods can be done, when the [censored]ing crownguard will just fall off as soon as the watch arrives at your doorstep. That is ridiculous. If I were producing a product, rep or gen, and that product would fall apart as soon as you try to use it and transform several hundred dollars to useless junk in a single second, I would be deeply ashamed. I suggest harakiri, mr. factory owner..

Hi everyone. I am curious about how likely it is that the threads beneath the crownguard will strip. I used the search function but I couldn't find many related posts. Just that some try and put epoxy in the holes to repair them.. I removed the crownguard on an older 111h of mine and didn't have a problem reattaching it for 4 or 5 times so far. I just got a 112h and removed the crownguard because it was a little misalligned. I put some loctite in the holes to be on the safe side and reattached it and had no problems. Then someone told me that the metal that is used for the case was really soft and that removing the CG one or two times would be enough to permanently damage the threads. I did a quick search on the board and even found a post where the CG just fell off while not even touching the screws, but by the pressure the lever is putting on the screws. So if I had no problem removing the screws and putting them back in with some loctite, is it likely that they will just strip by using the lever? Because the lever is really tight and puts good pressure on the crown.. I can't stop worrying that the CG will just come off while winding the watch in the morning or so..
