jay as far as closing thread the guys are answering you, the knowledge you seek is all here. This being said we read, research and basically become active members to learn these things. Take your time read around you will learn these things also, then you can buy what you are comfortable with. Where ever you are getting info I would go with what you were just told here period forget they, there are other Rep sites but we are the Tech site (movements etc) and there is no dispute on that. Now a few things, NO they are not rare they are made in China so they are like M&M's. Next some times you get a good one sometimes you get a bad one QC is crap in China. Yes wear all you want if it works well fine if not what good is the watch anyway right.

Tough call the Swiss movement is an old one thy put in 99% of the time the a2836 well could be great could be crap their QC sucks. I go Asian but that is just me.
