I sent it to Domi and this is the result:

It seems it's so complicated to find out the case number of this watch. I want to buy gen hands but i was asked the exact case number from Cousins (although i told them the exact watch model and caliber they are not able to see which parts i'm supposed to buy). . I know the exact model, the caliber but not the case number. Railmaster 2503.52 Caliber: Omega 2403 It's the standard 39mm size. Is there someone who can give me some help? Alternatively, can you please advise where i might buy hands in an easy way? I'm in Eu, Ofrei is not a good option unfortunately. Thank you

Andy, too much work for my poor tech skills.
-
Damn it, i paid 80
-
Andy i bought 3 date wheels from you As for the movement, it sounds tasty but it would bring the total cost too close to a 2nd hand gen.
-
Agreed, it's not user friendly at all that website. No reference to Omega codes it's a no no. You bought a gen, wise decision considering the gen price (not currently but till 1 years ago was really a best buy). I patiently found gen parts like dial and bezel for decent prices, after all i'm close to 30% of the price i should pay for a used gen, still reasonable imho.

Andy i got a gen dial on ebay, unused. The lume is really amazing, i already have a gen dial in my SMP and despite markers are a little greenish and dirty they still bright like a torch. Meanwhile i sent a mail to cousins, hope they can clarify.

Guys i need a hand, can you please help me to figure out which handset i'm supposed to buy from Cousins, there are 2 items and i can't see the difference. X20718 X21079 Omega SMP 2254.50 41 mm diameter Caliber 1120 Case 168.1640 Thanks

Yes, bezel works perfectly The screwdriver method sounds a little too risky, i don't want to collect plenty of dents and scratches. I read someone removed it with fingers just making pressure with nails. I'm gonna go to some local watchmaker soon, no other options left.
-
I've tried almost everything but no success. It's really hard to remove and i don't want to use brute force and ruin it and the case. Have you got some tip? p.s: i have a second-hand gen bezel+insert, that's why i'm trying the remove the original whole bezel Thank you

Ubi thanks for the heads-up and patience, it's not a secret i don't know anything about rolex (nor modern nor vintage models). I'll try to keep a non-sapphire glass , i'm afraid i cannot stand too much reflexes now i'm addicted to IWC AR crystals. Maybe i'll change my mind and i'll fall in love with acrylic glasses. It's worth trying, i really love the look of vintage rollies.

Ok, one more question. Do you guys think it would be easier to buy a noobmariner replacing the bezel with a bezel from a vintage model? Would it be possible in your opinion or cases have completely different measures? In that case i would have a sapphire crystal by default. Thanks again
-
Ubi, thanks, that's reassuring. Project 's gonna start shortly now. As you well know the main concern is sourcing a good sterile dial.

I'm creating a new watch and i was wondering if i can have some problem to replace the crystal on my incoming Vintage 5517. I'd like to replace the replica crystal with a domed sapphire crystal (i'm creating an homage so accuracy is not an issue). Do you think it might be tricky? Similar watch: Any tip appreciated R.

i'm just a little afraid to try to clean it because it's a black matte dial. It's very true under a sapphire these imperfections won't be much evident unless i want to get the crystal ar coated which was my first option (single side though). highoeyazmuhudee, do you think i can try very gently to rub it with a cloth we use to clean glasses? Thanks again

Hello everybody, i bought or few bucks a gen seamaster dial with some visible wear. Do you think there's a simple way to make it better? The lume is great (the pic sucks), would be a shame to trash it. Thank you

Bezel is from the 42mm model .. of course it's not enough to say the watch diameter is 42mm

Need recommendation for replacement SMP crystal.

Yeah that was my plan. We might place a single order ... maybe we can negotiate a bit. Are u located in CONUS? -

30.5mm / 2mm , agreed, that should be the right size. I'm gonna go with these measures as well. Out of curiosity, how much does J B charge for that crystal? Thanks mate -

What do you exactly mean "the $70 SMP crystal from that wholesale990 guy on the bay is not what it's claimed to be"? I heard anything but good comments about that crystal. Also, can you check what the max thickness is? Is 1.75mm the thickest part of the crystal? Anyways, you can also try with this company: http://www.krysworks-store.com/ Price is pretty the same. This is what they answered to me: "...is available as the SeaMaster 30.5 mm with AR coating and is $69.50" I'm in the same situation and i'm looking for a replacement crystal as well (with no single side AR, i 'd like to send it to chief for a double side AR) As for the diameter, someone stated 30.5mm is fine. I have no first-hand proof though. Did you consider to ask some dealers here to source a spare crystal? Usually they don't do that.. but if you're a good/regular customer i'm sure thay will make an exception.. -
Sorry for the poor information provided. Long story short, i'd like to create a no brand watch very similar to the sub 5517. I still have to decide the base watch since i'd like to use a ss bracelet and all 5517 reps have fixed lug bars. Most likely i'll end up buying a vintage sub with a bracelet and that's why i need a new insert. Any tip appreciated.
-
Guys, is there someone who knows where i can get these spare parts? I'm not looking for gen parts. Thanks you

What a beauty!! Ubi one of these day you must post here a group shot of your watches. I don't remember one single watch of yours i don't like it.
-
Ubi, any news about your SM300 project? I'm also willing to buy one to make an homage watch but i'm not sure if i'm gonna go with this or a submariner 5517.

Probabily i missed this info... but i can't help asking.. where can we get this watch? Ubi, you're the number one, you have such a good taste and skills.
