Thanks guys for your opinions and tips, i'm contacting the dealer to know what reasonable solutions there are. It's a little sad shipping it back after waiting more than 2 months for a watch.

Hi MAHLER, not sure it's fixable, i have to live with it most likely. My fault however, i had too high expectations and trust in QC of a trusted dealer. Or maybe i'm just too anal.

"swiss made" is not that bad. After all i think i have to live with it, just moving a little bit the bezel to make it align (you just have to turn a bit the bezel without click)

There are good Slevins around. Pugwash's is just an example i guess.

No, i bought from a dealer and have it shipped to K2222 to mod date and day wheel and have crystal coated. Bezel rotates of course but it clicks 2 mm off.

This watch is becoming more and more popular lately and it deserves it. Totally agreed with you, it's a keeper for not very large wrists like mine (and probabily that's why i can't share this love for huge watches). Pix, ar looks pretty good from pics, are u sure it needs a new coating?

Stephane i can't speak for your dial considering the very good ar coating and that nice blue hue. If you say it's matte i'm sure it is. Regarding my spare dial it' s not glossy buut neither matte like genuine dial. It's a bit disappointing and that's why i'm looking for a genuine dial (hard to get, i've seen one in months on the bay and i missed the auction cause i'm an idiot). To be clear, my Iwc 3717 (or Upo dial) is a good example of what i mean for a accurate black matte dial.

I have always been a fan of railmaster 39mm, really a nice and classy watch and i have 2 of them (old version with seagull and sn engraved on lugs). Actually one belongs to my father and the other one is still waiting for a crystal. I am so jelous of your shapphire. Just some more very minor flaws: - lume on markers and numbers should be a little more raised (but this is a dream in replica world) - "Railmaster" writing is a bit off - not sure if your dial is matte or glossy but i have the impression is not the exact matte black of the genuine. I bought a spare dial from a dealer and has the same little difference. No need to say these are very hard to notice for "common" people. Wear it well mate
