  1. Hi they are based in Century City California, thanks for the replies BTW. I'm shying away from them because of a number of things including their payment methods, on the website it says they accept credit cards which would provide me with protection however when I emailed them they said wire transfer or Amazon pay or by cheque only, neither of these payment methods would offer any protection or recourse if it went south and we are talking about a $10k purchase here. I'm thinking go to an AD and pay a couple thousand more for the peace of mind, I can't imagine being screwed over for that amount of money!
  2. Surlysurdi Hi guys I hope you are all well and enjoying your watches! I have a question for you all, has anybody heard of a company called Sybir? They are supposedly legit Rolex specialists with some mad prices for new gen rollies? Only thing is I can find hardly anything about them! Thanks everyone
  3. Thanks for the +ve comments guys, I reckon the car provided a fitting backdrop!
  4. Hi everyone, it's been too long since I last posted, way too long! A short while ago I bought myself a gen superocean (my2003), just thought I'd post some nice pics, hope you like them!

  6. LOL what a bunch of jokers! Also reading the description of the sellers it's amazing how inept so called 'professionals' are!
  7. Just by chance I thought "It's been a while, let's login to RWG and check things out". Turns out it's been a year since I joined up, man does time fly! RWG is a great place and I'd like to thank everyone for an enjoyable journey into the world of watches! Anyhow, I'm on the lookout for a 48/49mm Super Avenger with black dial and batons on a steel bracelet like the one AllergyDoc has recently posted about (http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/116034-breitling-super-avenger-black-batten-dial-2009-version/), wow what a looker! WANT ONE BAD! What do you guys think of this piece?
  8. I'm new here but it's sad to see that this sort of thing is going on. Have faith though, karma's a bitc*, what goes around comes around. He'll get his, have no doubt about that!
  9. I'm a newbie too, welcome to the forum it's a great place! I've just bought my first rep - a Tag Carrera with the A7750 movement. From my research and the feedback I've had here as far as I'm concerned the A7750 is a fine movement, it will need servicing but as long as you look after your watch it hopefully should not be required for a couple of years. If you want a good 4 or 5 trouble free years get it serviced straight away. The Swiss movements are great but a well maintained Asain movement will serve you well. There is plenty to read about these movements but I'm happy with the Asian movement.
  10. Wow that is a looker, I've been toying with the idea of a BCE but now you've gone and started me thinking about this one too! BTW how good a rep is this compared to the V2 or V3 BCE reps out there?
  11. ROFL - TOOOO funny! I'm still in circle 1 (actually almost in 2 - 2 gen, 2 rep) and I can only see it going one way, yup, down!
  12. OMG SO many GREAT watches, this is gonna get expensive for me REAL soon!
  13. Once again thanks for all the positive comments, very nice of you. The gen also has lume (based on a close up pic on the Tag website). I thought the blue screws looked out of place but I just don't get it, going to all the trouble of prducing the 7750 then why have the blue screws? It would be nice to 'fix' both the screws and the date wheel but alas unless I can find someone in the UK to do this it won't happen any time soon, there is no way I would attempt this (...a man's gotta know his limitations....). The cost was $278 plus $35 delivery, I think that's on a par with most TD's for this piece but I must admit I am impressed with the quality. Precious Time was very good in all respects.
  14. Hi chronoluvv which AP is that you're wearing? It's beautiful!
  15. I'm not sure about the lume myself, looking at pics of the gen it does seem to have lume although it's difficult to tell, think I'll need to go to an AD and check it out in person. That being said I'm very happy, one thing though, regarding the blue screws I can see on the movement, do gen ETA 7750's have these or not?
  16. Hi guys thanks for all your positive comments! The lume is ok but not super bright, to be honest I'm not too sure how bright it should be. The choice behind getting this particular watch was because of the relationship between Porsche and Tag with Porsche supplying engines to the Tag cars (in F1) many years ago. In addition since they both named their products after such a great race and the fact that I have an '87 Carrera, well it was a no brainer, especially since this is the 'race' version! I've loved the look of this the minute I saw it and knew I had to have it, I guess a lot of you can connect with that particular feeling LOL!
  17. Hi Davy, I happen to agree with you. Although reps are an infringement of copyright I think our security and customs personnel would be far better employed focusing on the things you have mentioned. I personally just got my first rep and I'm delighted! I really couldn't care for TM Eye and the like, they want to protect their represented brands? Fine. But it won't stop me buying what I want from where I want any time I want.
  18. Hi everyone, First of all I am a recently joined member and I have found RWG to be a great source of information and have really enjoyed researching and learning. I recently ordered my first watch and would like to share my experience. I chose the Tag Carrera with the A7750 movement and I chose Precious Time from the TD list. His communication was excellent and he promised delivery in 12 to 14 days. Well once I had placed the order I only had to wait 9 days and it was delivered as promised, packaging was in a jiffy bag and it was wrapped in multiple layers of bubble wrap. Not bad but a box would have been perfect. The watch itself is excellent, really top quality, it uses the latest A7750 movement but has the old style rotor rather than the one with cut-outs, a minor thing to be honest as the quality was really great. I had to go to a local jewellers and get 2 links removed but they only charged me £5 which was fine. Now the fit is great. Would I buy from this TD again? You bet! I now have a couple more watches on my list, funny how suddenly you want more than just one LOL! Well, although I have heard a lot about the A7750, both good and bad, I hope this one keeps going, now I just need to find someone to service it! Take a look at the attached photo (not great but I was in a hurry) and let me know what you think?
