  1. Damn that's in the middle of the vacation that i have with my son.

Can't imagine that my girlfriend who decided to have a cool down period of at least a year is willing to switch my 3 weeks of summer holidays with hers.

Judging on my condition at this moment i was able to come to Modelizer.

It would be great to thank my friends for the beautiful RWG Friendswatch in person.

Let's hope i can make it next.

  2. Yiiiiipeeeeeeeeee !!!

My flights are booked, as is my hotel, since yesterday.

I will land in Copenhagen on friday, take the mini trip train to central Malmö and stay there untill sunday noon.

The 5th shall be a good one, I can feel that!

Last year we made a mistake by asking "where & when should it happen".

The 3 first editions were "impossed" and they were a real success.

So, Malmö it is, with a great host and a bloody easy and cheap way to get there.

None of you guys should miss it!

Flying to Copenhagen is easy from almost everywhere in the world.

Plus, you go to the bagage claim, then to the onsite railway station of the airport and every 20 minutes there is a train taking you in 20-25 minutes to Malmö central.

At that point, every hotel is nearby (walking distance)!

I checked some of the international brands hotel and they charge 100€ breakfast, wifi, ...included on the base of advanced purchase.

I guess it's safe to say that we might try to get a group price but if you want to book right away, Modelizer told me that Renaissance and Radisson were both close to everything, including the gathering and curiosities.

Ok, to the pictures now! This is how it looks :clap2:

  3. I had some spare time tonight so I browsed my usual sale sites for genuine Rolex.

I discovered that mine raised to 4.200€ these days.

I am the proud owner of a A serie, Swiss and Flat S dial, that increased their value by 35% since 2008.

This is the only time I'm not loosing money on watches :clap2:

  4. That is a real MUST and I do understand that you wanted it!

I've been lucky to receive one from a Rwg friend who pasted it to another RWg friend and landed on my Great White.

    Before

    After

    RolexSeaDwellerGreatWhite_800_44.jpg

And now the watch is at another Rwg friend to get better hands !

    It never ends :bangin:

    Congrats!

  5. Zee-Row!

    +1

    Hmmm, I mean zee-row, zero, 0

Started with Rollies and now 30-something later.....Still ONLY Rolex! I haven't bought a single different brand. I'm up to 7 Sea Dwellers now (all 16600) and trying to decide which two will be the best to keep so I can sell the rest. It might take a while?

    You beat me on this!

I have bought many many reps for myself but No ROLEX so far but it will happend one day...I have bought for friends only

Don't worry, one day you will find the light at the end of the tunnel :)

First rep was 16600 TW BEst SD from Eddie Lee. It is what led me to the forums.

    A legendary one I suppose D.

    You still have it?

for the first 20 years that I had reps, only Rolex was commonly available....WTF WANTED a fake "anything else"..?????

    Ah ah, well indeed!

  6. This IS NOT a case of failure to deliver. There are 2 fully documented cases where buyers have paid for gen straps and received reps. With all due respect, this is not the first time things have happened that didn't make sense. Some of the most heinous crimes have been committeed by people that seemed to be legit and pillars of society. Allowing someone to hide behind their "rep" is not the way to make an informed decision, go off the facts.

Furthermore, I don't think I need to remind anyone here.... selling reps as gens on gen forums is exactly the type of thing that gives our hobby a bad name. To the powers that be, if you're confused or have any doubts about anything I've posted feel free to PM me.

    Robert,

I don't know you and therefore will NEVER judge you or make myself an opinion about the veracity of what you say.

Unless it becomes obvious that you lie, I read what you write with a positive eye.

Besides that, as you can imagine, I trust Warren 100%.

I think that among all the posts I've seen here, and in the admin section, Freddy's attitude is the most "neutral" and I am wanting to follow he's way of running this case.

All I am saying is that we, all of us, must remember that selling fakes and pass them as gen is a "community crime".

But, all of us, should bear in mind that such threads are also commented by drama queens.

And I know what a drama queen looks like...I used to be one once.

I have no hard feeling at all, for nobody.

If a scammer is among us, then he should be "punished".

But before he is...he has the right to defend himself.

    Cheers

    Stephane

  7. robertb - Maciek said he would look into your claim, so please give him the chance to do so.

All - The more I discover about this the less I understand. Look, scammers take the money & run, they do not hang around to debate & answer questions. It seems to me that Edgematic1 (& possibly others) was on the receiving end of a less-than-satisfactory deal & I can certainly understand your frustration. But we, the RWG Mod team, were not involved & the transaction did not even take place here on RWG.

So this is what I recommend - since Maciek seems willing to address complaints, anyone who purchased something from him that was unsatisfactory, please PM him directly. Maciek, please be reasonable in addressing whatever complaints you may receive. If both parties are unable to come to a mutual agreement, please either move on or refer the complaint to the site where the transaction took place.

1 more thing - if 1 of the other Mods do not beat me to it, I will be closing this thread at the end of the day.

    :clap2:

    I won't beat you.

A scammer is pretty much what you describe.

I don't have the feeling Maciek is wanting to run at all.

    I hate general judgments.

Some people can fail to deliver ONCE or even TWICE.

It does not make them scammers for ever.

  8. +1

I was wondering the same thing. This is start to feel more like a personal vendetta against SQL_PL.

Like I said above, show me some proof connecting SQL_PL with the other vendors being listed here and then I'll start listening. Sad to see the typical "Guilty before being proved Innocent" attacks over at RG.

    +100 here Red.

I love your comment too Gran.

There should never, ever, be a judgment without strong evidences!

Oh, and the fact that a member buys a strap from another, then says it never landed and follow up saying that it was fake (thus arrived) is the real weird point here so far :bangin:

  9. Bazz, now that's a blast from the past.

Steph posting is almost as much of a blast as a bazz reference. It great to see the great senior members names.

Yes, it was really sexy to see Bazz pics in those days.

I feel fortunate having some watches from good old senior members. :yeah:

By the way, here is a pic of it from Bazz :clapping:

  10. 2000 posts isn't much, but time sure does fly...I came here for watch advice and over 3 years later...I've made some amazing friendships (which is the BEST part)!!!

2.000 posts is a lot and certainly when they are on topic and informative, nice, ...

As for amazing friendships, you are totaly correct: it's the best part !

Thanks for being here, as TT said, it makes RWG what it is :clap2:

    All the best

    Stephane

PS: forgot to mention the great pic of the IWC :)
