  1. Thank you so much for such a great energy spent Joe Cheers Stephane
  2. Me too. Reading this very informative thread, it seems that even without the Limited Edition, it's again far away from a perfect B&R though. I'll go with AjoeSmith's PVD group buy. PVDing it will make it "special" enough to wear it hopefully. No illusions though: it's another trendy watch and will probably never become a classic! Cheers Stephane
  3. @Helmut: indeed ...cool to have another one @TWP: Thanks for the tips...and compliments. Actually a correct dial might be great too
  4. Dear All, I am very happy to post this thread to show some pics of my 112H. Introduction My first rep was a Rolie DayDate that I bought in Patpong, Bangkok, back in 1989. Since then, I waited for 17 years to get my second one. That was on eBay, back in may 2006 and it was a very bad Fiddy. Of course, the one I got was very inaccurate…and, when I first posted a thread about it here, experts told me to get rid of it and go for a new one. My other Panerai Some experts told me which are the flaws on this 112…but still I like this watch. It brings my current PAM collection to 5 items. Thanks for looking, Cheers Stephane The pictures Please do not reply quoting the pictures as there are quite a lot and it would mess the speed of the thread and the entire forum. Thank you very much. THE FLAW !!!
  5. Genuine is quite impressive. I've seen a Clark SD, a Flat genuine installed on my GW and a Genuine SD not yet on my SRSD. If budget is not a problem, the genuine is the way to go. But 250$ is really very very expensive on the other hand. Cheers Stephane
  6. Indeed difficult to say from the pic allthough I got one in hands recently
  7. Oh yes, that was back in the 60ies and I got a IAXA (unfortunately not a Tissot which was THE communion watch) It was with a white dial but I couldn't find anything else but this My second Communion for me was in 1972, or something, and I got a revolutionary watch looking like this. http://www.ledwatches.net/photo-pages/commodore2.htm Not exactly the same but with red leds and buttons that displayed hour/minutes - seconds probably - and day/date Cheers Stephane
  8. It's flat this one...next one shall be superdome on the single red. This one is the 1665 Great white
  9. Ah ah, well pls note I am not a modder... I sometime gets PM about that asking for a price list but ...I am no modder...a simple watch lover
  10. Well, sorry to read that BT. The modern is not my thing at all...looks to close to 16610 (hour markers). If you want to test it one of these days, let me know
  11. uh ? Liar ? Me ...well I'm not sure I get it RosNik
  12. BT : a new MBK and some easy mods will make you even happier for not much more $$$
  13. You are right YM. Squadra home but...let's forget it...a simple rectangle will do BUT PLS simple ! Replicated not imaginated
  14. Wow, that is great news. The easiest rep of the world! Hope it will be in woman and man sizes... Can't get why it's still not there. The plain plain one...Incredible.

  17. Couldn't resist. I am wearing this one since breakfast with the kids this monday morning. "Hey Dad, this one is beautifull"
  18. Just to give you some reasons to do not worry TOO much about date mag. A good friend of mine, eminent member of this board, has seen a lot of genuine Rolies. Probably more than any of us will ever see. His statement is that there are a lot of chance that most of them are different. Some have a bolder date, some thiner, ... This comes from "serviced or not", various date wheel suppliers, and even aftermarket parts like crystals and cyclops. Lots of Genuine Sub owners have been to regular watchmakers to avoid AD fees So, yes we all want, and me too of course (it's my third date wheel on my 16610), to be as close as possible. But hey, if your modded rep is not as close as the genuine high resolution picture that you have found and that is the the one you consider to be the best genuine pic ever, it's not such a big deal. Remember, people like us, looking at such details so deeply, are only member of these boards...you will never crose someone like that in the real word ! Cheers Stephane
  19. As you say you like IWC, why not go for the 3717 (got it from Precious Time) ? And, of course, the Submariner is a must have (Got mine from TTK) Cheers Stephane
  20. @ViennaWatch Thanks for your nice words. Very much appreciated. Sounds like Austrians are very nice people @All: good luck and best wishes. Cheers Stephane
  21. Doc, I really do not want to hurt anybody. I am just another fresh member that sees so many threads about "troubles they have with their guru"... This thread was probably not appropriate for me to jump in...but, pls note that I am an enthusiast person and as such, fed up with "Where is god, my guru" threads. You see what I mean ? So, if one of the gurus has a serious personal problem, I might even be the one who's willing to help. But come on, there are some other gurus that just disappeared with the money, it's a fact. Cheers Stephane Again: my comments are not related to the Palp situation as I have never dealt with him and doesn't know who this person is. Simply a general experience...Common sence in fact.
  22. I am a Noob, but I have one plain question for you guys: - When you send money to somebody, shouldn't you get what you pay for back ? As a 46 year old person, I have an answer: - Of course. According to my feeling, there are much to much scammers around the internet, scammers from the past or scammers of the future. (I can already see (feel) the super modders of 2008 posting and preparing their little scam business here) Before sending money, don't you think you should make sure who you are sending it to. I have never been hardly scammed...yet...but almost was lightly scammed. That lead me to a new attitude = I trust you but I want 100% control on our game/deal. I always wait for weeks, if not months now, before trusting any recipient of my hardly earned money... Again, patience seem to be a vertue aswell as reading, sharing are very important. Cheers Stephane PS: my comments are not related to the Palp situation as I have never dealt with him and doesn't know who this person is. Simply a general experience...Common sence in fact.
