  1. It's saturday early morning now and I'm not sure which one I want to wear yet (help welcome  ):

My Zero Wrist Time Baume et Mercier

EDIT: forgot to mention the B&M is gen. No good B&M reps exist. Sorry, no need to PM me for the dealer ;)

    Got it from authenticwatches.com

  2. Hi All,

It's the famous Ubi signature: "Quality over quantity".

Cheap reps are not satisfying me anymore. Too many flaws, lack of quality and mvt issues.

In the two last weeks I had a JLC that stopped running and a crown that broke down on a Daylight.

500$ is the least an average rep costs after being moded anyway.

I would rather have expensiver super reps even for a couple of 100 more if they were "Exact" and not simply "Perfect or Ultimate".

Take the 3717: isn't it crazy that we must buy the day/date wheels from Cousins, get the parts, send them over with the watch taking the risk to loose the pack or get it seized, pay for the install and shipping two ways...I'de be happy to pay 500$ for that watch and save all the above problems.

    Cheers

  3. It was just a joke about the kind of French that gets taught in UK schools - things like "I want a room for the night with a wash basin" and "I have a pet rabbit. Her name is Fipsi." So unless you only talk about wash basins and rabbits, I wouldn't understand your show!

Best of luck with it! :thumbsupsmileyanim:

    Oh OK

My tailor is rich (that's what we have for english) !

    Thanks

  4. Tony,

Here is a good example of what we are talking about.

A fellow proudly showed me his sub that he got while being in Hong Kong for 40$.

Watching it on his wrist from meters away I could not say if it was a shiti one or ...

So again, unless you have an RWG expert around, it's hard to answer this fundamental question: who has the best sub ;-)

    Cheers

  5. Ok Tony.

    Well I have two comments:

    1. You are very lucky if it does, and I'm very happy for you (I mean it) ;)

    2. Many experts here came to the same conclusion: MBW (or TW Best for some others) are not only the best but the only correct base for mods :g:

As a newbie in these matters, please forgive me if I trust RWG experts better and do not want other noobs to thing they can get a "perfect sub" for 200$ when it needs at least 4 times that budget and hundreds of hours of reading to get even close to a gen.

Without even saying that the best moders down here have no time to answer all the requests they receive!

    Cheers
