  1. Dear All,

I didn't make up my mind yet about posting one of myself, but for sure, my kids and my wife are not buying or collecting illegal goods.

So, I assume they are safe.

If a police man comes to my door to grab them, I would : 1. Go to jail instead of them 2. Kill the police man and bury him in a Roli box after slicing him.

I cannot resit to post some pics. I think it's wonderfull to put a face on a member, allthough it's their kids.

I'm not ready to post mine yet, not even with sunglasses, but if you mix my kids, you might have an idea about the father ;)

And, on top of all: they are GREAT kids and wife, nice looking in my opinion and I LOVE THEM all :hug:

I wish I could post a full pic of the mother, but if she discover that, I'm in deep [censored] :starwars:

So here is a slice of my good half !

  2. @ Delta & TMG !

You make me afraid ! I am not quite done with Rollies yet...still so much mods ahead.

And in a couple of days I have my long awaited Fiddy that comes back from a short but intensive trip to Flav...

    Aah, PamPamPams...go away :boxing:

@ Laz: I'm very happy you still wear it after say...12 hours ! Same comment as Delta & TMG too me! Beware of Rollies, they are going to get you :o

@ Pix: man, your a really lucky guy ! I wish I could afford such an original gen :clap3:

EDIT: rkdk you really want to convert me !

  3. You seem to be very unlucky with your latest arrivals Jawo.

Is your Cousteau a 7750 ? If so, I remember having read from Ziggy to wind it "completely", at least the first time.

I search his post but couldn't find it so I would suggest you browse all Ziggy's explanations.

    Cheers

    Stephane

    EDITED:

I found it. Here is what Ziggy said (so I was wrong :wounded1: ) :

    Automatic movements.

There are two basic types of automatic watches, those that wind in both directions, and those that wind in one direction.

    Uni-directional winding movements

all Asian models are unidirectional (at least the ones I have seen). Included in this is the Asian or ETA 7750, its a unidirectional model.

You can safely wind these movements as long as you do so slowly and only enough to get the movement running.

    Bi-directional models

ETAs and most Swiss models, 2824-2, 2836-2, 2892-2, etc

  4. Uhh... actually it was the former Soviet Union who played most important part in that. Hollywood probably wants people to remember it differently, but let's give the credit to the right country. :)

Sure By-Tor. I'm not an historian, but D-Day will be D-Day for ever I guess :cowboy:

  5. Oh come on!! Nobody has pointed out that Panerai has by far the nicest Fiddy yet ? ? ? :D

    Yes, finally, you did :thumbsupsmileyanim:

You say reficul: Geez... Thank you very much guys for helping a noob and being so very nice here.

By the way, it's time to suscribe to a VIP membership.

    Cheers

  6. Hi all,

Seems like no one did it yet and it's wednesday.

I'm missing that thread where everybody post the watch they currently wear :wounded1: .

Today, here in Europe, we should also remember that years ago, north americans, Uk citizen and even more other nationalities saved Europe from the NAZIs.

Please do not read germans. I said Nazis.

A tribute to these heroes and to our dear fellows from Germany: here is the watch I'm wearing today !

    Cheers

  7. Dear All,

Here is a pictorial of my trade with AJoeSmith.

It is cute story in my opinion.  :thumbsupsmileyanim:

    About the deal

I ordered a 1665 GreatWhite MBW from TTK and suddenly decided to buy Kelster's one.

So, at the same moment, Joe asked me if I was willing to sell TTK's, which of course was the case.

In the meantime, still keeping an eye on Ingies, Joe proposed to trade his (with both TT bracelet and Kevlar strap) for the 1665.

Why not! The deal was done!

TTK sent the MBW to Joe. Joe sent me the Ingie. We both have our watch now.  :p

    About the gen

Power reserve of 44 hours when fully wound

Date display with crown-activated rapid calendar advance

    Price range from 5.200 to 5.800 / 7.000 $ to 7.800 $.

Here the IWC.com pics (they should ask TTK or Pug to send them good pictures btw  ):

    About the rep

    Positive points

There are very few flaws on this Ingie. If one like the light feeling of Titanium, it's a great watch.

Very sensitive to scratches though. I scratched it when opening it (should get myself something else than a shiti Jaxa).

    Negative points

As usual : the date is of course misaligned. Note, mine is powered by an ETA 2824-2.

The hour, minute and second hands are very slightly shorter than the gen.

For the rest, I couldn't see any other ones yet. :brow:

    Conclusion

Well, I've been looking at IWC lately and I'm happy to own both the 3717 and this Ingie Amg.

As I like the texture of the SS Ingie, I might get myself one too later.  :yeah:

Having said that, I'm not wearing this Amg so much but a friend of mine does, so at least it doesn't stay in a box.

Thanks for reading, and now here are the pics.

    Cheers
