Hi There, Welcome. Some have been nice to you and some have been rude. So, I'll be nice, because being rude with a noob is nasty. Being a noob myself, I allways value nice members coments and tips. TTK is not Andrew, and TTK does not "sell" from a catalogue. Check his section on this board, send him a mail following instructions, and you'll get a reply. Andrew is TrustyTime and, as for TTK, go to his section here at RWG and you will find out what you can get. Hope this helps, Cheers Stephane

What can I say ? Some members will recognize them I guess. My heart is stuck between my two late arrivals . They are such beauties that I am wearing them since I got them. Right now: Edge's Red 1680 Probably tomorrow: Kelster's 1665 GW

Hi and welcome too, I will not tell you what it is, as it could be anything, but I would suggest that you check your links. I couldn't open the pics. I'm sure some Rolex experts might help you, but, why not say where and how much ? Pictures are not allways easy to make an opinion. Cheers Stephane EDITED: oops, sorry I could open the pictures now.

Looking for a watch that goes best with business suit :)
Stephane replied to deepsea's topic in General Discussion
Well, if only it was looking like this: http://jaeger-lecoultre.com/viewModel.do?modelId=22 I would buy one right now. If any one can put his hands on one that does not say "Automatique" -
Wow. Speechless. Fantastic mods ;-)

Rolex

That is absolutely true. Ziggy is worth a few extra $. Now, when the watch itself is sent, for us EUs, it's a serious risk though. I wish Ziggy lived in Brussels

If you ever sell it, let me know

Edge's Red 1680 is safe again after travelling from UK to Belgium
Stephane replied to Stephane's topic in The Rolex Area
Thanks guys. I knew these ones were from you Ubi and I supposed you were waiting for some news I'll shoot loads of pics right now as the sun came out (and it will not last!). Later...I will post a trade review with Edge. Will it be positive ? Guess Cheers Stephane -
I guess this one can be here too (Thanks Edge & all participating members)

Just to add to PT's comments, and as I already said, after the 48 hours QC, PT posted my IWC 3717 and it arrived today, monday, as expected. Cheers Stephane

Dear All, Some of you may have heard that Edge and I made a deal and that I bought his incredible beauty. As I know that some members participated in the mods of this watch, I figured I should post some news of the travel and let them know when the watch is safe again. So, everything is fine. The watch arrived safely today and is now on my wrist I will take tons of pictures of the actual watch but give me some time as I need to first have some good light and it's pretty rainy for the moment. Edge's first post link is here under. It was in April 2006 and it shows some pictures but the watch has considerably changed since then. Here is the list of what has been done: CG's Reshaped Crown and Tube exchanged for Genuine Bezel and Dial exchanged for Excellent, Aged Replacements Genuine Bezel pearl End Links Modified and Adapted to Accept Gen Springbars Genuine Springbars Bracelet Modified to Accpet Gen Springbars Case completely refinished, to be aged, and smoothed. Case Lugs Drilled for Gen bars Bracelet refinished Fully waterproofed Regulated Genuine Tropic. Cheers Stephane Edge's post: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=2598&hl=

I have 2 second hands shop selling gens around here and I asked to check for Rolex and JLC only. Both comments were: buying these two brands is a good investment as they will never loose their second hand original value. I'm not sure buying any Pam would be the same, unless what you buy is a vintage or a limited. Others might suffer from the hype around the brand maybe. I guess any top brand's vintage or limited models keep their value for ever anyway.

Looking for a watch that goes best with business suit :)
Stephane replied to deepsea's topic in General Discussion
I vote for TTK's 22 or 24 ! Long life JLC -
Ok, let's be precise: - TTK: got 3 watches so far without problems and ordered a total of 5; The 4th one will come back to EU with Narika later this month, and the fifth has been traded and is sent straight to the member I traded with. He does NOT dropship, for sure, and check them in person too. - Precious Time: Never had an issue neither. Ordered and received 3 watches. One more has been ordered on tuesday may 15th, it was in stock. PT made a 48 hours QC and shipped it on thirsday 17th. I'm pretty sure it will be on my wrist on monday. Cheers Stephane EDIT: I realise that it's not a lot of watches from TTK and PT, but I do not want to come back to all my previous purchases from CN dealers. I lost watches, they came with deep scratches sometimes, the mvt stopped, ....Let's forget about the bad experiences. But, I am 100% sure they 1). do not see them in persons, thus do no QC 2). have them shipped directly from the manufacture @ElPrimero: you seem to be a lucky guy with Josh. I wish I started with Josh instead of other CN dealers

To All, Thanks for posting these pictures. They are beauties and growing on me. I might start to have a serious look at getting one. Cheers Stephane

From my personal experience: - TTK (I think you say): Yes he does. - Precious Time (I ve been told): you've been told right. Never had an issue. Sorry to say, Andrew doesn't at all. I only dealt with the three above gents. Cheers Stephane

I'll try to change over the week-end but, for now, I can't get this off my wrist .

where has all the real discussion gone?
Stephane replied to thewightstuff's topic in General Discussion
Thanks Delta for your compliment. I sincerely appreciate. This thread might have been opened in a "bad day" by a member being in a "bad mood". If not, well I have to admit this happens to me sometimes too: getting frustrated that I can't find anything new to read and learn from. But, if that is the case, I browse a brand area in example and go to the oldest pages to find more topics that I could have missed. Now, come on guys, let's be fair to this board: everyday there is at least one interresting new thread, isn't it ? And what to say about all these trades between members ? Isn't that very cool too ? My personal conclusion regarding RWGII is that in 4 months I learned more about watches than in 40 years. For this reason, and also for having made new "distant friends" all around the planet, I can only shout BRAVO to RWG, its staff and members. Cheers Stephane -
Is there a rep that you would wear into an AD?
Stephane replied to teddy boy's topic in General Discussion
You say: "not wanting to do this" Well, no one should even talk about going to ADs anymore according to the new board rules. Our reps are so close (even the NON super) that they might fool almost anybody. One exception: the ADs. And, again, only members can spot differences between all the reps versions and their gens. The real question is "are you wearing a watch that you can afford in real life?", isn't it. Cheers Stephane -
So do I I'll try to get pictures of it with some Brussels highlights as I'm jalous that Pug did it with la pyramide in Paris !

Simply wanting to say THANKS for all these informations. The case back is, to my opinion, a very very important and nice part of a watch, specialy for SDs. Cheers Stephane
