  1. This thing is growing on me. Would you mind sharing a bit more about it..
  2. Hey By-Tor, long time no heard Hope your season holidays were nice. The GMTII is not bad at all. I would say it this way: I prefer it to the 16570 I traded it for but much lesser than any Sub. So my guess is that it might be traded + cash for a 1680 one day...hopefully in 2009
  3. In honor of Laz & Andy, I'll wear these ones in the next 24 hours
  4. I have a spreadsheet in which I store all my watch spendings... Looking at the bottom line number makes me sweat so much that I usually change my mind for another purchase
  5. Great to see you post Jorge and M3! And great collection of watches M3... And no, there is no problem with your english Jorge...I understand it and am french speaking
  6. Oh no, it is brushed. Well what I understand by brushed is it carries "lines" ...sorry this is hard for a french speaking person. It is not "flat painted" at all. I failed to take really good pictures to show you all what I have here. But, in the flesh and under a loupe it's very clear .... If we ever get a blue sky back here, I'll try to shoot more photos which show what the watch trully look like. Here is a photo shot by the seller:
  7. 16610 since this morning... 3717 tonight
  8. Rolex never cease to amaze me. Everything is so "possible" with this brand that is as fun as trying to guess the murderer at the beginning of the book.
  9. We just checked our mail Laz...you're back in the frame
  10. I will not comment on gen or fake, there are better members with great knowledge to do that. In my opinion, there is nothing more difficult to judge as Rolex is not only having several makers but also does weird things during service. Having said that, I too would say it is relumed. Here are some pics of mine if it can help. I failed to capture the brownish tint of the dial ...here is the best I could do Silver date wheel
  11. I bought two B & M from them. Everything was smooth and safe, no problems at all. Cheers Stephane
  12. Congrats Lani, and of course to the man in the North I love the final result and as you know I'm waiting for mine which should be here next week. What bracelet did you put it on ? A sneak preview for you ani (brothers in 1655 for you all too ) :
  13. If you are in EU, I would recomand Precious Time UK If not in the EU, well there are several choices and I don't want to influence your choice.
  14. Good idea Mahler: you get the reps...I already asked to be first on the list for the gens
  15. @ Roobie: you are so right about Freddy. @Freddy: thanks for taking the time to shoot new pics. I have to say I'm too lazy But it's a 2009 resolution: "I'll take more pics" By the way, it would be cool if more members post in the wristies. It seem to me it's often the same one .... Come on ...post in the next one !!!
  16. I am a fresh member as I only discovered these forums a couple of years ago. And I fully agree with Corgi. I do agree with Tribal and others too though, search and read prior to shoot 25 question is more friendly. BUT... 1. The internet is not different from the world; many different personalities and education levels. 2. Allthoug RWG have marvellous threads and special features to help a new coming member, most of them do not even read them...because they don't find them instantly. Impatience is certainly a sign of the times . Maybe we should find a way to make the basics more accessible/visible 3. Many new members, just like regular members, are not native english speaking persons. This is also a reality. I sincerely wish we as a community continue to welcome new members in a friendly manner. If they come here to buy ONE watch and go, fine. This is not the spirit of RWG at all though. But among new members, let's keep in mind we could find a bunch of future great contributing members who might at a point teach us some stuff too. Cheers Stephane
  17. Welcome to RWG. No such things exist: AAAA....only shit shit shit exist (or ScamScamScam+++). AAAA and ++++ are usualy used by Scam Sites that are selling shit for three time the value of it. As other say: search RWG and make yourself an opinion on where to go. Read a lot and you'll have all the answers to your questions including the ones you do not even think about now You'll find scam dealers list and also trusted dealers which we all buy from for years now. Avoid the internet spam & scam, and trust the forum .
  18. So you survived Ok, well then, welcome back Robbie
  19. Whoever is the dealer, it's the same old song. V3? One step back in fact. The 12 o' clock marker, you can't do anything yourself. It must be a bad batch of dials. So, like the other comments, I would send it back and ask for a replacement. Cheers Stephane
  20. + 1 Ken. And to all: why post so many hard words to a new comer It's a common practice of shipping but not everybody can figure it out immediately... Now, lesson is learned, let's move on...
  21. Can't wait to wear my UPO at the Casino Royal As we get jetons in the package, I hope I'll be lucky enough to make some cash for another watch
  22. +2 I remember that Nokia had a period with exploding batteries in their phones. And that was Nokia, gen... Imagine what can happen with a rep one. Same with rep medicine... Too dangerous for me.
