  1. Ok, it looks like an Omega mid-week ...so tonight, I'm walking on the moon. A nice Pug background
  2. Fantastic watch Alligoat, I sincerely love it. And yes, the old style date wheel makes a huge difference. Nothing is so exiting than finishing a loooong term project ! Congrats to you and Ziggy. Cheers Stephane . . . . . . Oh, by the way...I guess you might sell me your gen now
  3. Well done Vlydog. There are currently 12 participants, and as far as I know 2 will be accompanied. Kruzer00 CarlsBadRolex Chad Dluddy EddHead Jetsons Vlydog JjFesq Jojo35 Dave_Nyc Fwatch Stephane
  4. Well, Ubi, these are very nice shots indeed ! Thanks for sharing.
  5. Good morning dear New Yorkers! You've been very active while I was sleeping, great to see. So, about those who didn't post here but eMailed me, OTTO is fine, which is a good news. About menus: I follow the group, 40 or 55$ is fine for me. About beverages, unlimited is much easier to deal with when comes the bill About time: 6.30 is fine indeed. But I would then move the meeting time at the Waldorf at 5.30 PM or meet directly at OTTO. 12 time sleep and we meet: Yiiiiiiiiiiipeeeeeeeeee
  6. We do listen to you guys !!! Guys, seriously, as I said to Vlydog, I'll follow the group. Let me redo this: OK if anybody complains about OTTO, please do it prior your evening ends ... No complains? Otto is where we will go I guess we need a true local manhattan friend to arrange the booking and tables for 12 or more. Who wants to do it?. Also, bear in mind that there are still some pending replies...we could aswell end with 5 more participants. Archibald-JbCb713-Redroom-WarModder-Chieftang didn't yet decline. And, also, more "late to the party" members may go for a last minute, who knows. Otto Otto Otto Otto Cheers Stephane
  7. Time for a little bump about restaurants. In the mails I received, most do not really care about the place that will be choosen in the end. From the mini-poll I see that Pete's Tavern is leading. Unless anybody disagree of course, I suggest we stick to Pete then. Let us know if you really really disagree before the end of "your" tonight fellow New Yorkers All the best Stephane
  8. Welcome to the club of those who want to service their watch Mine is ready to pick up (finaly, as they have it since 21st of april) and yes, the price is the same Having said that, if you do not have the watch, I doubt they would sell you the insert
  9. Hey, it's your birthday so let me say it in my mother tongue: Joyeux anniversaire
  10. Welkom to RWG Tom We want to see your current collection...show it - show us !!! Have fun here Cheers Stephane
  11. Nice place to visit, very funny !!! I'm sure we'll go there with some guys while in town
  12. Nice dial indeed I managed to have something like that with a 1665. Not intended though
  13. A work of art for sure. Congrats, once again, to Ziggy. Jojo, you surely have balls to go till the end. Gen dial and gen movements, wow, that is a serious investment. But I must recognize that I should start to hunt for movements too. It is definitely making the watch so close to the gen that considering a gen is almost useless . Fantastic project. And you are so right saying the hunt is fun. The wait is making our hobby so exiting. All the best, Stephane
  14. Wonderfull photo BT. Really. So, we're going to be surprised ... You've said too much and not enough now We want more
  15. CONGRATS BY TOR !!!!
  16. Hi and welcome to RWG! Don't worry you're not alone to be close to the 50 neither to have an addiction Enjoy your time among our little community. Cheers Stephane
  17. Bienvenue Petit Ourson Brun Splendide pseudo...quoique, un rien long peut-
  18. Thanks again guys. I sincerely think I won't bring any in NYC. I've seen that the customs are even worse now. They even search your mails if you come with a laptop
  19. Oh, I see votes this (my) morning. I agree to avoid the touristic places. As a tourist I already visited them and still can if I want so without the locals . Vlydog: Otto is back in the list. Sorry for forgetting it, it was supposed to be there instead of the second Pig. As meeting point, the lobby of the Waldorf is very easy. When entering from Park avenue, you climb the stairs, walk thru the piano area, then the elevators and you will arrive in the "main lobby". I will be there (with Jetsons and Kruzer probably): you will notice a bunch of guys looking in the direction of the main entrance...waiting...waiting... Alternatively I can wear a paper saying: "Replica Watch Annual Convention"
  20. I made a mistake for the Pig. In fact I'm voting for Pete ... So how are we gong to recongnize each other? Easy I will stand in the lobby with a toursit face and look ... Don't worry guys, I'm sure we won't leave with another group
  21. No, not that I notice. It's still perfect. But I must admit I'm not wearing it every day neither
  22. Ooops, my mistake! Sure, please fell free to make another proposal
  23. Ending the week-end with this one
