  1. Welcome to RWG! It's a wonderfull hobby but be prepared to spend hours to discover all what is available out there ...and eventually, by a huge watch box, you'll need it. Have fun with our community. Cheers Stephane
  2. Prisha, I removed your link to that website because it is not approved by RWG at all and because it's been several times that they try to post links here Please do not post any other link to their site. We might consider this as a spam. Thanks, Stephane
  3. Taka... I sincerely hope you will organise another one next year If we didn't have the NYC one, I would have come and visit you Have fun ... Cheers from EU, Stephane
  4. That is a very funny thread... I do agree with the OP...on certain points Andy looked great in Brussels I bought some tailor made suits in Bangkok in the late 80ies and thought I was the king of the world... I also bought a quartz Rolex DayDate ...and almost 20 years later I know it is a piece of s... When it comes to suits, I love to wear my Corneliani one, it's my favourite. (http://194.244.11.134/it/index.jsp) I hope I can put my hands on a reasonable priced Zegna one day...(http://www.zegna.com/) They are makers...not brands. It's not as famous as the usual brands, but man, how good it looks and wears. I did myself a favor once and got an Armani shirt ...never again. It's probably manufactured in the poorest chinese manufacture. A suit should be a second skin...and who cares about the brand...nobody see the brand of the suit anyway. But everyone will remember: "wow, that guy was wearing a great suit!" They might add "it's a Boss" Buying rep items is ok for our hobby but hey what level are we talking about...The best level possible in our hobby for sure. I agree with the "made in germany" quality or made anywhere else but asia and turky. Most of my clothes are coming from "unknown" brands and are top quality and cheap and some of them are coming from Outlets where you can get a Cerruti suit at 30% of it's original price. Cheers Stephane
  5. Congrats my friend, It's a beauty. Just got myself a Nikon D60 and realise how poor my photo knowledge is Damn, these Reflex are totaly different. Cheers Stephane

  9. Hello and welcome to RWG, You might also consider to send a PM to Deltick http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showforum=205 Have fun here, Cheers Stephane
  10. Warm welcome to you in our little community As ST4 says: you must find a rep friendly watchmaker in your area. The best way is to enter the store and ask the question straight BUT avoid the official dealers of high end brands of course. Another possible soltution is to read and search RWG you will soon discover that we have some guys who can do small work and of course Ziggy who can do the hard work. Enjoy! Cheers Stephane
  11. I'm not sure what you mean here I read it and cannot see anything wrong nor special ???
  12. I would more than happy Andy !!! Not joking: get yourself a plane ticket and I'll change my reservation for 2 Queen beds instead of a King bed... Hmmm, hold on Only if you wear a pyjama at night
  13. Welcome aboard !!! You order a sub ?! You have great tastes and you choose the best model for an unlimited hunting... Joking !!! Enjoy our little community! Cheers Stephane

  16. Yes, I have an invoice with Rolex's logo and official certificate from them too . But these rats didn't even give me a Rolex Service Box Seriously, I'm sure it's great for the movement...allthough I don't know yet if it is still COSC. They changed all the rubber and gaskets. But the polishing...under a loupe, not that great. I think they use a dremel too
  17. @ Andy: I'll bring them back in my luggages .. Kruzer00 CarlsBadRolex - attending alone Chad Dluddy - attending alone EddHead Jetsons Vlydog-attending alone JjFesq Jojo35 Dave_Nyc Fwatch Stephane - attending alone
  18. She is back and serviced !!! 4 months later
  19. Good morning all, I agree with that Vly. I read the contract and mails you had with them. Man, it's NYC and business is business I mean, such a contract for a pizza group dinner...wow, lawyers must have fun in the city. Anyway, let's stick to your plan quoted above and go to a "quiet" bar after OTTO (8.30 pm) and eventually to a "hotter" place after the first one... I prefer to spend cash in cabs to move to several places instead of "paying" for "the third hour" ... Cheers Stephane
  20. Yes, that might be an option indeed for the date wheel. It's a pain to buy a 16800 here in EU. They go for a lot of Euros, not dollars I don't want to put like 6 or 7K Dollars of course ... I'll have a look at NYC while I'm there, who knows
  21. Of course, stupid me... So, what I need is to find the correct mvt to host the correct date wheel then... Or even better...buy your gen
  22. You are very precise Vly ! Great you take care of this, I'm sure we all appreciate, I do for sure How about a mail loop about the budget ? I'm pretty sure a 5$ difference won't really hurt anyone.
  23. Cool, then mine is a early 16610 too
