  1. Wow, that is great news Ziggy. I'll contact you soon Sure. Paris is a great city. It could be at my place too by the way. As I said to all of you guys, you are allways welcome in Brussels of course.
  2. Sorry Ziggy...I can't agree Interresting work but not on a Rolex please
  3. I'm sure you meant move to Belgium Amazing work! Can't stop to say it. How the hell can a human hand be so precise!!! I wish I could cross the road and have a look at your work and bench I would shut up and not disturb promised...
  4. Congrats Lord ! I wish I could find out something like that to avoid the waiting at the imigration each time Any New York lady looking for a wedding out there ?
  5. Well done Ziggy. They are beautifully done as usual. The arabic numbers one is trully growing on me
  6. Don't worry too much Mine was initialy sent to Germany too
  7. So true Jojo But I would be delighted to share them with you and others at my place Come on over guys
  8. Isn't this hobby fantastic ? I was wearing my gens since a while and thought ...well, reps are cool but gens are so nice too. Sundenly, I decided to wear my 5513 and loved it. The rep that is. And tonight I swapped it for my 1680 White ...love it too Our frankens are so cool.
  9. So do I. As said numerous times, I hate the "in transit" status for these kind of piece If only I had taken it with me in NYC
  10. Agreed: such a watch cannot be bought without some insurrance. A trusted and recommended dealer in pre-owned would be my only choice. Hand pick up too of course + receipt of my money. I'd never buy a 5513 or a GreatWhite on a public forum.
  11. @TJ: Cornerstone is right @Sql: Olga ?! Wow, that would be an honour
  12. I wouldn't focus on the endlinks. They may aswell be 501b if they were replaced by a RSC. But you MUST have a look at the movement for sure and check the serial (make sure it is not stolen) as Frank said. If you wanna make yourself an opinion on the value of it, here is a link to my supplier. He currently has one from 65 without papers but in very good condition. http://www.subgmt.com/en/vintage_rolex.php Cheers Stephane
  13. Andy, I won't vote for a date and follow you guys in the choice anyway. But I'll join for sure As discussed, getting one suite is the way to go so we can enjoy watches and drinks Cheers Stephane
  14. I saw Dluddy's one indeed in NYC and was very impressed with the watch. Untill then, none of the great photos of our members here made me think about getting one. But holding one in the flesh was surprisingly great. By-Tor, thanks for another great review. It requires a lot of energy and time to publish these. I'm like you: the 16710 is more my cup of tea. The ceramic one looks a bit like "on steroid" with the fat CGs and fat hands. But I wouldn't be surprised it becomes a classic in say 30 years in the end Thanks again, Cheers Stephane
  15. Oh, yes. That case back must be a hell of collector's piece !!! Imagine owning a full not serviced SR one today Thanks Ubi.
  16. Ubi said how to check if it's an MBK. I don't see why Chris wouldn't have send an MBK by the way. The single red was never sold on the market. So the chances to see one around are close to zero. Having said that I have one myself as it's fun to have the three of them (Single red, double red, great white). For the single red your case back should be like one of these ones. GENUINE REP And to push you to keep the watch here is how it can come out once heavily modified
  17. Yep Date Serial No Jan 08 - Present M 000,001 July 06-Dec 07 Z 000,001 Jan 05-July 06 D 000,001 Jan 04 F 000,001
  18. I'll second Laz's comment: preserve value, get a Sub or a SD. They will become very valuable in the next 20 years for sure. As a reference, see how much is a great white now If you are a sub lover, you will end with one as I did. But I would recommend a SD first. These seems to have more value already. GMTII is another option of course.
  19. OK, I'm confused now. So there is a M serie right ? What date range was that? Forget my question...It's the newer one sorry for that. I got the toolkit, the booklet, the papers and a sticker on my P serie one from 2000.
  20. Damn, that is a great looking watch Chad. Enjoy it
  21. Oh, no doubt here. My favourite time was my stay in NYC. Jojo, remember you took this photo? A 16610 @ THE bridge
  22. Honesty allways pays back in the end. Lies are allways discovered, one day or another.
