  1. Sure titanium to match titanium case! more pics to come if ajoesmith wants 'em
  2. my personal experience with the AMG? - great quality. I wore this watch on tuesday - thursday nite it was still ticking strong and it keeps great time. Now i had fits switching out the bracelet to the strap. The gunk that holds the carbon fiber onto the kevlar strap ran over the pin holes and was so sticky I couldn't get the pins in and ended up breaking them in half (the pins not the strap) - so clean the holes out good. but the timepiece is top notch
  3. here ya go D - still working on cam skill - but check out the "made for Mercedes" on the back - too cool
  4. and my first photoset I wanted to show off V's first work for an actual customer....ME! Its on interesting piece of leather. (for info on the leather - see the original post here. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?act=fi...&pid=220358) The white stitching works great with the white face yes?
  5. Mostly talks about internet sales and the verification of authenticity not much in there about the actual rep industry. I'd scan and post but I'm at work
  6. i'm thinkin' i need to test that hypothesis. Find out what rep best impresses the strippers?? thats my kinda research
  7. Agreed I bought a Pam 024 sub (A21j) on the cheap in the hope of having an "activity" rep and so far it has passed both the sweat test and the shock test. I wear it regularly and I'm kind of suprised its held up thus far - maybe it won't last... ...but for now I look cool in the gym
  8. Shultzie is indeed very happy - the white stitching works very well with...
  9. hmmm - interesting...not the new version I'm guessing you are responding to this? http://www.replicacollector.com/members/Fs...tos-t29807.html. Explanations not helping over there?
  10. sigh - no sense of humor over there...
  11. I'll bet you've been chomping at the bit to use that one... excuse me - I have to cancel my plane ticket to South America
  12. LOL - lotsa questions Hike - see herehttp://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?act=fi...&pid=221530 took decent pics last nite and will post later on the fs thread
  13. I don't think so - the direction letters are too thin in width and too thick in height see here - old vs new 092
  14. Thanks rolli - not too long ago I posted this: I hate my Regatta this is just what I'm looking for!! V - I'm first in the queue on this strap!
  15. Fantastic Ben - very informative and made me seriously consider making this my next rep. Thanks for your efforts..
  16. Over the 48 hour period that "the thread" was erupting in emotional outbursts, outrage, and angry rhetoric (deserved or otherwise)... the forum was still humming along with other postings - questions, advice, technical discussion, friendly banter, collection photos, member trades, brand discussion - both rep and gen, off-topic postings about life, the universe and everything. maybe some things have changed. I can't say - I spent my first couple of years in the sleepy confines of TRC. When I finally did join here my knowledge about reps, movements, and watches in general grew by volumes as did my desire to learn more. A lot of decent and learned people here and as long as thats the case we'll be fine.
  17. When I saw this today I really took notice...Pho and I met a couple of weeks ago and he held out Josh in very high esteem, so I figure he must be seeing something very serious to go to these lengths. And this was his tame post... still I thought I'd chime in The evolution of this "industry" from small dealers and personal contact into web sales and drop shipping (I've seen it called "walmartization" by other members) is a natural progression. Not a bad thing in itself - but that formula relies on higher volume and LOW prices. and of course quality may not be high, but go to Walmart's electronics and you find cheap electronics that are serviceable for a low price. We're not talking Sony XBR, here, but there's a market for the product. This may put some pressure on smaller dealers sure...maybe smaller dealers go niche, offer better QC, better movements, whatever and charge more. There's room for both - I can buy a rack stereo system at Walmart or go to the Bose store in the fancy mall. Thats the way it should work no? but when we are seeing low quality and high volume at high prices there is an inherent problem that reeks of collusion. i know this isn't a "normal" industry, and maybe my theoretical economic structure doesn't apply..but shouldn't it? of course i could be way off base...
  18. I've had that problem since last summer. Even after contacting admin and being told it was fixed. I just stopped trying
  19. Indeed - trade thread should be for seller offer and Q&A. Calling a sale price out in public could lead to some bad blood and bad precedent, even when justified. If a piece sits unsold for a period of time - that speaks volumes on its own.
  20. Congrats Flav - wear it in good health and thanks for taking the time to show the community the comparison
  21. There really is no "typical" experience with any given dealer. Everyone has had their own personal experience and they are all interpreted differently by different members.
  22. Thats because we are too busy seething with envy...
  23. not sure a tube would fit through the case portion but two tubes? one in each side of the strap placed might just work... of course i could've just frakked the whole thing up somehow. but really how hard should it be?
