Days , months later . I picked up a piece today I have been eying for 2-3 years and said it in front of my brother and he looked at me with a stupid face and said I always say that . If you have done this what piece was it and do you regret it ?

This is the second one I purchased the first ( joe girardi limited signed) never made it to me as I had it sold before I purchased it ! it's reasonable priced at retail standpoint for what you get compared to other stuff on the market . The box alone is worth a couple of hundred as it's the size and better built then the Panerai limited edition box , italian croc strap , real 18k rose gold numerals , 44 mm , swiss 2892 with Dubios movement but I think you either love it or hate it .

There are some seriously awesome reps out there that take the machine and use legit information of dead people but cost a good chunk . Just do not use the site this guy used

When I was a senior in high school I knew someone that had a Gen Rolex platinum day date and drove a a new M3 . He lived in the worst part of town and had the best prom party of all time . Back then I would believe it but now a days nah . I would shake my head when I saw the "RISTI's" with there MINT 3646's posing as gen's and asking vaction home prices .

NOt true I purchased many Gens on the bay with no problems at GREAT prices . It was the one time I trusted a "TRUSTED RISTI" that shafted me on a piece . I just purchased a gen Breitling on the bay and after a phone call picking it up . You have to do your homework before buying anything on ebay regardless of the feedback . The guy selling it might not be a scumbag but the guy he bought it from was .

Doug I also quit trying to find someone . I gave up a chance to get a nice franken but did not want to take a risk with no INS and full liability of customs .

Honestly the best way is the get a loop and a case back opener . I got shafted once on a "gen Pam" and this was from a "trusted" risti so do your homework before dishing the tin . Since your local ask to meet at a local AD to verify or do a in person inspection . It is going to cost you a little but I learned that the little you pay before hand can save you a ton in the end . After the Pam incident I picked up a case back opener ($20) and a loop ($20) and since made a bunch of transactions and know what I got before paying . Look for lume that is not crisp on edges , flaking letters/number or possible miss angled giveaways . I just won a auction on ebay yesterday for a gen Breitling with box and papers and what made it more attractive other then the price was the seller being local . I spoke to them before hand exchanged numbers and we worked out a deal and meeting on Sunday at starbucks about 40 miles from me . You also most importantly have to buy the buyer and your gut as I walked away from a couple of deal do to the seller not being helpful in gaining my trust/interest in the deal . These days $2-3000 is like $6-7000 to spend on a watch so dont rush something will always pop up down the line .

for the starting bid atleast let it be lumed or serviced !
