  1. Thank you guys, she is indeed a beauty and expensive one but definitely worth it!
  2. Tons of gen parts. I'll let the pictures do the talking. A big thanks to one of my fav modder, @ misiekped, his work is honestly unmatchable.
  3. Ello, do you have any crazy hour versions?
  4. I can probably give you some pointers. I have heard that the LF case goes accept gen bezel but the LF bezel accepts gen insert. The LF case also accepts gen crystal. As for the tube, it seems like the LF tube doesn't accept gen crown so you have to tap and redrill gen tube so you can use gen crown. I personally like the LF case because it possibly has the tightest bracelet fitment ie no gaps and has decent crown guards. Plus they use SA3135 movement so if you want to use yuki3135, it should be no problem.
  5. +1 on misiekped. When it comes to rolex, he is my go to guy in the USA.
  6. ok I see, then yeah I have the same 2 pull system. Mike did me a big favor and I dont want to speak for him but during my build he told me that this would be his last zenith conversion.
  7. So you had the 2 pull system removed then right? As the gen only has one pull? Interesting that you bring this up. Misiekped told me that the zenith movement I am using would still have the 2 pull system though the date changes on the 2nd pull, not first.
  8. Same here, I won't start my AP franken until legend tells me he has perfected this mod.
  9. Mike, do u have a gen dial or bezel for this model? I'd say Noob would be the best base model but not sure if gen parts fit.
  10. So I just got back and had this pleasant surprise waiting for me. There is one more piece, but I'll share that later.
  11. Agreed. As for the cyclops, I think the rep can definitely benefit from a better AR coating but it's not a must. I have to say, Jasonbaylee, you will be really happy with your AP diver!
  12. Hahaha no no guys. Here is what I had written but for some bizzare reason it got deleted or I accidentally deleted it. I went to the AP boutique in venice and had a chance to try their new AP diver with open case back. First thing I immediately noticed was the difference in dial. We know the older version dial had these tiny tapissiere lines, well the open case back doesnt. It is very similar to the ceramic diver with just squares. I know rep factories are selling open case back divers but with the wrong dial. Also the inner bezel numbers are more squarish and there is a definite space between the numbers, unlike older version where the numbers on the bezel were alms touching each other. Then the lume application, I have to say, it is not as good as the old version where you had this 3D effect with double lines. If rep factories want they can easily easily copy the new lume application. Then the endlinks. They seemed very flimsy. I think my diver had tighter endlinks then the gen. Gen endlinks create this ugly gap between the case and the lugs that it almost makes it look like they are loose. Lastly the price. Besides the beautiful movement, the watch didn't seem worth $17000. I rather buy couple of rolexes or the gen iwc, pictured above, with their new cal 52 movement.
  13. Wait, what happened to my blog about the AP diver??
  14. Also went to the IWC boutique. The new 52 calibre is just beautiful!! Sorry didn't take pictures of the back.
  15. I'm building this exact version. All I can tell you, it won't be cheap but well worth it.
  16. Hey bud it was nothing personal. I just did it so I can get some info out of you. Thank you for keeping us posted!
