Nice ...good to see Davidsen is now using a std rep case set with his PVD ....makes many things possible .. You shouldn't have any case problems with this one and it clearly has great lume...if not quite accurate for a 13 year old 202A... Enjoy it!!! FGD

They are Davidsens stock dials.

Been wearing this one a bit recently , I keep going back to it as I like tobacco dials and this one is one of the better rep dials...colour wise at least. I keep hoping one day to pick up a gen tobacco dial and hands.......you never know your luck! The Gen crown looks and works perfect , thanks to the tube that John kindly had made for the case. I added a new Ti CG from Angus , which fits perfectly and is made exceptionally well. The dial and hands have been re-lumed by Ziggy and are in pure C3 ..glows exactly like my gen 002 dial ....sorry but the lume shots tuirned out poor.!! Also got one of those Asian 6497-2 with the nice bridges and high-beat / extra power reserve. Strap wise - it's a MP PAV 91 - 24,22 with a 1st gen Ti buckle. Thanks and enjoy the photos FGD

Upto about 12 months ago , most of the swiss H series replica movements were finished with the same " rough" Cote De Geneve style effect. But they all start their lives as base ETA 6497-1 and have the replica asian made CDG bridges , swan neck regulator added for people like us in China. They then made improved CDG bridges and then improved the Officine Panerai font on the stamp so there have been 3 or 4 generations of this movement. I suspect what these latest movements from DSN are , is a combination of old and new parts/ CDG bridges There'e must have been a suplus of balance assemblies with swan neck etc from the old style / or he's swapping on new bridges to older style movements. Either way , as long as it's as Swiss as it should be, nothing other than cosmetics Best FGD

It was by a hugs stroke of good luck that I got the chance to pick up a genuiine 002 Dial....so it had to be done.. This is the result of putting it with my best parts!!!! Asian 6497-2 the latest top quality one with E-series bridge decoartion....keep options open with a V 1:1 CG and a display back! Jimmy Case Set Superb CG - not sharing the cigar with a Jimmy but very close Genuine Sapphire with light purple AR PALP Crown Davidsen D series case back - mostly correct for 002-D Davidsen C3 hands GeF - La Spezia in Cognac. Maybe one day ...gen hands , a gen CG and a gen crown , ETA 6497-2 and then a better caseback but I'm enjoying the hunt for parts as much as wearing the finsihed watch! With Ziggy's eye injury at the present ( may the watch gods speed his recovery) ....this Gen 002 dial couldn't have come at a better time to amply feed the hunger... You know where I'm coming from... Ouch again Z! Stuff on tinternet says swelling can remain for 3-5 days before subsiding - the swelling is your body's way of protecting and healing apparently. I had a much less significant eye injury a few years ago and one thing I learnt the hard way was not to take anything containing Aspirin or even Ibuprofen......just increases the bleeding!!! This is the sort of b*llshit that turns me off this and the other forums .....b*tching and moaning about the same dealers again and again and again like there's some personal axe that constantly needs grinding.. and then posing the barbed question about the Admn Team just stinks. The rep industry is a market and the dealers run businesses. It's that simple. Nothing wrong with putting the squeeze on smaller or larger competitors - If I was a dealer I'd do EXACTLY the same....it's one of the things you MUST do to grow your business. "Strategic Partnerships" (some refer to it as a Cartel ) "Exclusives", "first to market" "limited production runs" - I do all of these as well to grow my sales and profits -taking sales away for other dealers and hopefully putting them out of business sooner rather than later! That's how business operate - Kill your competitors - or buy them if they have something you want - all to make your business stronger. I don't actually care to read this sort of crap or participate with a response - but it's got my goat up and I am concerned that RWG is degerating into a "virtual bitching box" for the attention seeking ..... and no longer somewhere to further the enjoyment of this hobby. Well said Admin and Mods....keep up the good work and protect us from scammers and con-merchants. FGD
