  1. Thanks for the comments everyone.....@ Babola.....Doh!!!....quick sense check on my others and the mistake smacks you in the face!!! Flav even sorted them into correct pairs....just to make it easier for me to mess up! Glad it's an easy fix and thanks for spotting.!! Simon
  2. I'm not too sure about this PAM......a lot of time and effort has gone in the right places but I think the only way to get a good H series PAM is buy a genuine. Still - it's one of the better 111-H reps I have seen personally and keeps superb time- the movement is one of those "Swinese" ETA stamped base jobbies and I think it started life in a 113 from Davidsen.....not erratic like some of the others I have had. List of mods I've done - Dial re-painted matte finish and lumed - C3/C1 - lume colour is OK but not 100% IMHO - Custom lume hands from Flav Flav - H2 Cannon Pinion and hour wheel - really needs H3 as dial is quite thick - True Sapphire with AR - Davidsen - 2.0mm DSN Spring Loaded Crown - modded CG to fit correctly between case / CG - CG Pin tapped and filed as flush as possible - depends on the angle of viewing - - CG deeper re-brush - 3 stage - ver light sandpaper , steel brush , re-finishig pad Fitted to a new MP Allora a Ora in Senape - comes with a sort of sandblasted + polished buckle which is a nice improvent on normal MP buckles for me. I like this strap - think it will age nicely. Thanks and enjoy PS : Sorry for the dust ....it is the bane of my watch hobby.......all on the crystal not inside.
  3. Here it is after 12 months in the making. This is the very first PAM rep I ever purchased ......bought from one of those scamming Amatory sites for a ridiculous $650.....before I learned there's a better way. It came with a swiss base movement but with recessed pin and poor quality lume. Other than that the case was good ,crown nice and solid, light AR coating and decent engraving ......all be it an H0117 case. Mods done- - Movement swap for ETA base with Panerai enrgaved bridges , swan neck and dagger regulator - H2 Cannon Pinnion / Hour Wheel replaced - Re-Lumed dial in my own custom lume mix - something like 50/50 C3 and C1 - Hands done by Flav Flav in his custom lume mix - Fitted to Europelli Shell Cordovan with rep polished 22mm pre-v style buckle There's a couple of minor marks on the dial ....so this may well go to Rob for a touch up and cannon pinnion upgrade (and lume that pesky second hand!) Thanks and enjoy
  4. Money well spent with you as always Rob.......thanks and respect :-) Simon
  5. Another piece that I am very very pleased with ......I was lucky to have purchased this from forum member m4rcus.......a lot of care and attention to detail had gone into this already -......just look at the crown and jimmy CG......it even has an F series logo case back ....and whilst I know 000 only commenced from G ....it's all together a great piece. And then Ziggy did his stuff : Re-paint dial font - aged off-white Clear Coated dial - matt finish H3 Cannon pin / hour wheel Re-lume in C3/C1 mix. This is a keeper for sure and gets plenty wrist time. I have fitted strap of comparable quality - Europelli limited edition Grade AAA Aligator with brushed pre-v style sewn in buckle Thanks and enjoy
  6. I like this one as well .....just received this week and am very satisfied. The ultimate 092 has a superb finish all over - good crystal / AR/ cyclops / crown / CG - Date wheel - dial is nicely matted- engraving is fine and detailed. The only minor I can call is the hands - it may be up for debate - but in the Special Edition catalogue - the photo shows silver/gold hands instead of black. Nothing an acetone dip and a re-lume won't sort I'm sure. Thanks Joshua - as always perfect service - personally I can't be arsed with this cartel bullsh*t - I have always dealt with Joshua and ALWAYS got what I paid for end of story.....that's why I keep going back. Angus's Kevlar dive strap is a work of art - I cannot fault it in any way.....thanks Angus for providing this ...worth the wait. Thanks and enjoy Simon
  7. I am well pleased with this......thanks Rob.......still left wondering who / what / how you can lume the numerals on the sub dials with such 100% perfection. This watch is one of my favourites and a lifetime keeper. Not sure if it rare ....but this one has no serial engraved on the case back and a single button tapered deployment bracelet that is secured to the case batter than any I have ever seen.....? Thanks and enjoy. Simon
  8. Both Gen.....L Swiss Made L on 111 + pin on CG is correct size and perfectly central 118 ....I'd say gen ...same detail on CG and A's look correct
  9. Yes Kostas ....very lucky indeed !!!!...this looks the mutts!!! Practice really does make perfect....and can't wait to receive the finished article!!! Keep some hide in case the buckle "project" comes off ......this hide on a fiddy or destro 217 would look tasty! Thanks again Simon
  10. I concur .....yet to see the integrated case/ bracelet replicated to genuine levels.....
  11. Very very nice - love the Ti buckle ... Wear it well Simon
  12. Brilliant .......great piece of work a really handy reference tool !!! Thanks guys for your efforts Simon
  13. Whoaaaahhhhhhh Benchmark in modding work and benchmark in photography..........very very impressive all round LovePanerai ....love to know how you get your pics sooooo superb......dealers should pay you to photo for them!!! Can't wait for the postman this week.....Ziggy package no.1 on it's way!!!
  14. Went for a walk with my 2yr old son to feed the ducks ....he managed to scare the entire UK duck population into early migration but did manage to get some decent photos of my 000 base on a custom strap made by V. I love the colour and vintage cut ....just looks so simple , classic and timeless on a base. Enjoy and thanks V Simon
  15. Large collection ......Large respect I couldn't find a smiley for "stunned" ....but this reflects my current status....
  16. Hi - that is a really great looking watch - Vacuum is very skilled with the lume on sausage dials I agree. It's actually a great looking Crown and very decent CG. Re the CG - if I read you right ...I have had similar problems and found that an extra gasket between inserted on top of the one already recessed in the crown - can sometimes raise the crown just close enough to the lever to close more firmly
  17. I received mine 14 days from order to receipt and all is well - very pleased. Sounds like there hasn't been a thorough handover on "back-orders" between Palp and Pam which ain't good business. Burn one member and you burn all though ....my wallet will remain closed if this isn't resolved
  18. Another great strap V....I think "oxblood/wine" is THE classic colour for PAM's - just fits with the black dial and polished steel! Simon
  19. My supplier says he no longer has this watch due to issues with the A7750 ....mine has had no problems in 6 months - but I intend to get serviced. If I was doing this again ...I'd go a a 212 from Josh or Ruby .....the simplicity of the dial overcomes the flaws in the 253 - but same case , movement and with AR. Also - mine has been fine but these have subject to exploding crystal problems. Regards
  20. Warren - great drawing I have never seen before - this has just sealed it for me - the odds are heavily stacked that these are genuine. I have compared with the 2 x I have from the same source and as well as the points you have mentioned above - they even have the hexagonal stem barrel as shown on the drawing. It just seems unlikely in my mind that a replica would be produced with such attention to fabrication and functional detail. Great that the PVD/ Ti are 1.2mm .........wonder if all the SS at 0.9? I've already stated I'm out as I have 2 x SS ....but If you have a PVD/Ti spare I will take one - 1000% firm commitment. Cheers Simon Cheers
  21. No problems at all - greaty watch - no AR on crystal though which is only major deficiency - it has also had a new dial fitted since these photos - with hobnail design beneath the seconds markers ring and update font work. Suggest you look through the known dealers for a latest or ultimate version - mine is Asian7750 - 28.8K with decorated rotor , bridges and burnished screws. Believe Joshua has these versions with AR in Asian or Swiss
  22. Here's mine .....it's since been re-lumed by Vacuum and looks stunning in the dark.....yet to post photos but Vacuum did a superb job and has photos himself. Don't like rubber or deployments....so fitted a Don Black Croc ....not the best .....really want a top notch carbon fibre....any suggestions ?
  23. Kruzer.....this means I'm out (Posted 2 x SS and 2 x PVD earlier)............thanks for the opportunity in the first place. I already have 2 that were destined for manuals but a re-think is now required. I'd also say that the seller may want to re-think his pricing if the demand is halved? Maybe he doesn't know that these are auto only , as the ebay listing has no mention of stem size or similar ? I'm sure his Ebay sales would be affected if purchasers knew these were auto only upfront.
  24. Rob .....think we would all be fooked without your "know how" and "can do"..........big up yerself...:-) Warren ....I have 2 x SS of said OEM crowns to go to Rob to fit to Manuals.......reassured there is a stem extension to fit. Having tried on Jimmy cases / tubes - it looks like some ziggyification is required to get these to fit properly.....this may have already been posted about last week? Forgive my ignorance but I can't think of a PVD auto of the top of my head .....could these be be manual ???? If these come in at $70 or so then there really is no contest versus new Palp crowns available @
