  1. Photo noob my *ss....!!......that's a superb looking watch and outstanding photos - thanks !! FGD
  2. Nice selection of leathers .....and a nice selection of wrist candy to go with them!!! Welcome FGD!
  3. Gents, I took a DVSN PAM T-Swiss-T 40 dial ,re-lumed by Ziggy......to make a pre-A 001 in a Jimmy case / cg combo. Whilst the end result is a sausage rather than filled indices (and the 2 is wrong) - the thickness of the numerals and the "6" in particular are very pleasing to the eye. The font is very crisp as is the matt black dial colour ...I was also pleasantly surprised to find it was a perfect fit in a Jimmy case. I know it's a case of each to their own - but I'm getting another dial to re-do my 004 because when I look at all my collection - this dial is by far one of the most pleasing to look at.......it's my new favourite formula. Need to take more pics soon... FGD
  4. What about the DVSN options - PAM 40 T-Swiss-T is nice looking for a pre-A...? I have his 004A dial but it's custom size to his PVD case... Other than that I have been thinking the Ultimate 111-E dial with a re-paint to T Swiss T & lume by the man himself...? Best FGD
  5. Great post Vac...thanks, I'm taken by the Asian model...who would you rate as a good source ? BR FGD
  6. Great views and well put forward .... Got to agree - the mix of Gen/Non-Gen is what really can make the visual difference and often a lot of trial and error is required.....on my PAM's anyway.... That and Ziggy.....who still makes the seemingly impossible possible... FGD
  7. Kruzer ...you should stay home weekends more often.....we get to see some very nice pieces when you do ! Best FGD
  8. Outstanding ....superb pieces Kruzer....those GMT's are absolutely worth the wait and effort.. ...(and probably their weight in gold FGD
  9. This weekend I shall mostly be wearing ...... And maybe this ....
  10. Was just about to type ..."WTF you get that movement again..?" .....and then you spoilt my dream..:-( Your 111 is looking very good none the less......."bring back the sausage .....down with the sandwich"...is what I say. FGD
  11. An excellent and extra-pictorial review - the new movement looks very good ... FGD
  12. Oh yeah that's the way to do it.......like 'em a lot .....
  13. Fair comment on functionality TJ ...but you are gonna have to be one minted pot-holer to wear $100K worth of watch and surely you get people to go down holes for you if you're that rich!!!! :-) I personally will stick with my G-Shock when it comes to any risk of subterranean activity... FGD
  14. Won't be on on my letter to Santa Claus .......but if I get one I'd be very very very happy. I'm sure with the ever increasing popularity of Panerai there is growing demand for exquisite premium pieces ........there's enough mult -millionaires out there who'll lap up this fusion of "haute horoligie", timeless Italian style and "action man" heritage..... Still prefer the 233....not convinced that the extra dial isn't over complicating a design that hinges around it's simplicity........I mean AM/PM ....I might not know what day it is sometimes but I always know if it's day or night !!!!! :-) My 2p FGD
  15. DVSN is a genuine guy and in my experience a gentleman to deal with. -Some of his parts are of a very good standard - Sapphire, Movements and some of his recent case/CG combos are of an excellent standard. -Some of the dials are excellent - New 217 , 082 , 112, 5218-207A , early 5218-201A etc......got to give respect for these - Some parts - in my experience are critically flawed - poor fit on thick brushed custom CG , spring loaded custom crowns that "snapped" , custom cases that had poor threads for CG.....believe all have been addressed. In balance and with many purchases under my belt I think that DVSN's watches are only as good as some of the other dealers. You pay a slight premium for a lumed-dial , cannon pin fix in practical terms.....the rest of the extras are "nice" but not critical to lasting satisfaction IMHO you simply cannot beat selecting your watch around the dial - and then getting it lumed by a recognised "lume-master" such as Ziggy or Vacuum for example. Get the dial right and you'll love your watch for a long time .....all the other modding touches can be picked up with ease along the way .....but just study the dials and compare to gen to find the right watch for you. FGD
  16. Thanks Gents.......you made my day!!!
  17. Works for me . -) .........always tricky PVD I find .....thinking about a nice dark chocolate shark myself......
  18. These are without doubt my regular wearers and therefore probably my favourite pieces
  19. This has been in the collection for a while and was a favourite weekend watch until some expirementation involving C1 and C3 went wrong... (always wanted to use this emoticon) Ziggy returned it back to me in this condition having properly lumed, touched up+ clear coated the dial and installed the DVSN Crystal - the best IMO. It deserved to go back on it's strap of choice - MP Papaya Brown. Once again ...salute to Ziggy for doing what he does so well... Thanks and enjoy. FGD
  20. Payment sent....think Ziggy is going to be busy with a lot of chronos.....
  21. Great News ...PM Sent - just to confirm and request PP details. FGD
