  1. NOBODY will look at your watch with a loupe, and that's the only way you'd be able to tell the difference on your wrist. The NOOB-J is clearly superior...and worth the $ in my opinion.
  2. Anticipation is killing me. Just got the Gen bracelet from another member...and now I have to wait for the UPS man tomorrow to bring me the head that MD2020 put together for me. The only pic he sent was of the movement when he put the hands on...I haven't seen it since then!
  3. That's my BigTrak! The credenza behind my desk is full of stuff from all My hobbies.
  4. I think THIS is the one you want... http://www.torobravos.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=35_53&product_id=605
  5. Any update? I'm about to order 3 dials from Ingod and anxious to see what others think of the dials they've bought.
  6. I bought mine from TB...if that means anything.
  7. On the 16520 I'm doing, I paid 600€ for gen pushers, crown, and bezel. $900 for a Gen dial and Hands. With a fully converted movement, I'm at just over $4,500 for the build. I'll bet I could shave a few places, but when I look at it, a 16523 isn't all that far off...
  8. I promise...you'll be delighted. If you aren't...I'll buy it from you. Promise. (I have a friend I can give it to.)
  9. Looking at the price of 2-tone Daytonas, it dawned on me that a 16523 is the perfect donor watch. Stick with me... ### ASSUMING you want to go balls-deep into a Franken 16520. ### They routinely sell for $8-9K The case is stainless Steel. The bezel is solid 18k gold. An weighs about 1.1oz. That's about $1,300. (So, worth more melted than it is as a part.) The Dial usually sells for $1,200 with the hands. Bracelet is worth another $600-$800 Gold Pushers & Crown $600 So now you're at $4,900. Let's build it back up. Gen SS Bezel $800 Gen Crown $100 Gen Pushers $500 Rep Bracelet $150 (We can get a real bracelet later) $6,400 for the "Perfect Franken" that has an authentic case/movement.
  10. Curious: What do Gen crowns cost? I always thought they were $20-$50-ish
  11. Those are the exact two dials I have! (The AP anyway) Or am I the 3rd owner of someone else's projects? I'll post pics when I get home.
  12. From a usability stand-point: Don't change much. Also, make sure you have someone that knows what they are doing on the transfer side. You have GREAT SEO coverage right now, and don't want to lose that! I just looked through my list of "domains I own that I'm not doing anything with" and only have "WatchOpinions.com" and "TickerSwap.com". I don't think either of those would help at all.
  13. Got mine today. Snapped this in 5sec. Amazing little lens!
  14. Me either! Mike's going to put humpty together for me. I'll be waiting with bated breath. I have a gen bracelet on route, so hopefully I'm sporting it by the end of the week! My 1655 is with a local watch smith right now too, so I was forced to wear my gen 116400V today. I forgot how much I love that watch.
  15. I'm going to see if it'll fit. I have one of Phong's cases, so as soon as I get it back from Mike, il going to see what happens. The dial is another story. May need to mod the dial to work. I'm expecting a new/better PN dial in a few months, so perhaps I'll look then. I'll tell you what though...it's only dropped 6sec in 4 days!
  16. Ordered! Link to Amazon
  17. 2-7 were the screws...but the key was taking the bezel and crystal off. ;-) It really is a nice ticker! There's a Clebar on eBay right now that's a dead clone...with a V72 movement though. In wonder if this really is compatible.
  18. Here's the definitive guide to Panerai Reps. http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/reference-pam-review-107365.html The 172s that are being created aren't all that great. Sure some are better than others, but for the most part it's considered a "medium grade" rep. More than a few 'tells' to a trained eye.
