  1. Yup...that's the one I bought! I sent them an email. Would you be able to go look at it for me? I'd be happy to pay for your time. PM me if you're interested.
  2. I'd love one that would take ETA dials and help convert them to Rolex feet! I have access to a 3D printer, if someone has the file, I can see about getting one made up.
  3. We've all been there. I don't know a single successful person that doesn't have a story like that. (Myself included.) The old saying "This too, shall pass" comes to mind. Whether it's success or failure...both are temporary. Keep your chin up.
  4. Gen hands from a 5513. I re-lumed them because the patina wasn't even on all three. I'll be re-doing the dial and hands this weekend. I've learned a few things about the right way to lime hands, so I'll be able to do a better job this time around.
  5. I ordered one today. I'll post here when it shows up! Planning on using it on my 1016 too.
  6. The dial got jacked up last night when I botched a re-lume job, but here's my 1016 Space Dweller. (Yes, I know that's the wrong bracelet...working on that too.) The build started with a 16200 case, used a Clark crystal, aftermarket bezel, Gen 1560 Butterfly out of a 1401, Gen 5513 hands, and an Ingod44 dial. I should have the new dial this weekend, and plan on re-luming the hands to match the dial. ::: Man...that's the worst pic I've taken of a watch in a long time! :::
  7. I decided to buy an ingod44 dial until your guy has them ready. I'd rather throw $150 away then $1,150!
  8. Question: Is the MQ dial worth $1,100? The Ingod is only $160...worth the extra $850?!?
  9. Oh, I am...trust me. On a positive note, I was able to swap the GMT gears from one 1570 to another, so I have both my 1675s up and running now. I also completed my Space Dweller build, and re-lumed 2 sets of hands last night. (Poorly...so I'll be re-doing them, but I'm learning!) One of these days...
  10. I can't catch a break with this build! Got the watch back from MD2020, and it was running like a champ. I got caught outside when it started pouring rain. (You all see where this is going, right? Inside fogged up pretty bad, and I remembered that I never sealed the crystal in place. No problem! I'll just pull the bezel and seal it up. I got everything PERFECT last night, and when I put the bezel back on, I realized that the Cornet got knocked loose inside the watch! DAMNIT! Tried my damndest to put it back on properly, and the glue I used (a tiny little drop of) spiderwebbed on me, so now I have a sloppy looking cornet (it's straight though!) on the dial. I also saw a chip on the paint that I'll need to address pretty quickly. So now I'm STILL without my 6263...that I've been working on for (what seems like) forever. At some point, I aspire to wear this watch out in public!
  11. My nickname used to be FedEX, because I wanted everything ~NOW~!
  12. That's a great watch. I started mine building a Space Dweller, but I'm going to swap the dial out for a normal 1016 once I get Whoopy's in. Surly a classy watch.
  13. Here's an example... I bought this one for $2,600. Terrible dial. I mean....REAL bad dial. I bought this for $220 from a guy on VRF. Cleaned it up...took me all of 5min and it looked like this. End result? So I'm $2,900 with shipping into a 1675 head.
  14. I've bought 3 gen 1675s in the last few weeks...all under $3,500. One was $2,600 for a head. If you shop around and are patient, you can have a killer watch for very little. Get the worst 1675 you can find, and refinish the case. Buy a refinished or "rep" dial, if that's the piece that's bad and swap it out. I'm the last person to preach patience...trust me...but that's paid off for me in this game a few times now. (Well, that and having cash available to strike when you have an opportunity!)
  15. Got my LV insert today. I like the watch a LOT more now. Edit: Didn't mean to hijack your thread.
  16. I started looking at it...and quickly realized I didn't have the skills for the job. This particular movement has been giving me fits anyway. I'm just going to list it on eBay and let it fly as-is. I should still be able to get 800-900 out of it. Or, I could send it in for service at a RSC and have a better movement. I found a 1603 with a 1570 that I'm going to use the movement from. It also had the right Jubilee bracelet for my gen 1675. I'll do just fine after I part the rest of it out.
  17. I buggered one of mine up last night, and searched Google to find....a thread on RWG about this very topic. Funny how that works. I'm dropping mine off in Atlanta tomorrow morning at a place that does a real nice job on vintage Rolex watches. It'll just be easier to have them do it for me.
  18. You're going to be VERY impressed by the packaging. Trust me. I'm used to getting reps wrapped in plastic and styrofoam. This is a completely different experience. Take pics of the packaging and post them...it's seriously impressive. Like the guys do with new gadgets. An "unboxing" video.
  19. So if I need a crystal, what's my best option? Anyone have a good AR'd 44mm case crystal? I see all the knock-offs on eBay, but wasn't sure if they were any good or not.
  20. Ha. I remember Medicalschoolitis! When every ache/pain results in a corner-case diagnosis of some rare cancer. Those were the days.
  21. Put this combo together this am, and it looks pretty bad-ass. Gen 1675 Black bezel. Ingod44 Pan-Am dial (with missing lume at 12) NATO strap.
  22. I paid $200 for my black insert, and $475 for the LV. For me, the difference between having just "another sub" and something unique, was well worth the extra $.
